That's my understanding as well. However, going into holes, hitting bumps, working on piles or heavy loaders up high can create stability problems even on level land.

If the shed is that narrow for the tractor a lot of care would be taken going in and out I guess. Loaders and implements swing outside the tire tracks and surprisingly little turning can mash something to the side. I still get near misses sometimes.

$13,500 for the tractor ONLY......that's pretty cheep. If you are serious, I would advise you to jump on that like a duck jumping on a june bug.

I called the salesman yesterday and explained to him that $160.00 a day to rent was unexceptable and that I needed a tractor,bobcat or something to backfill my foundation and he gave me a B21 to use for the weekend free! That jesture went along way toward restoring my faith in that company.
Instantly I notice that the operating pedal pushes much easier than on my tractor. My rig will give you a cramp in your calf if you go backwards more than ten feet!
As far as the three weeks to fix mine he says the service manager likes to give people the worst case scenario so they don't start bugging him after a couple days. Happy Days Are Here Again!

That's true far as I know. Weight on the wheels stresses the chassis less--although it's still weight that has to be moved. It also lowers the centre of gravity more than most 3ph ballast boxes and workable hitch heights.

I'm not sure where this weight on the tractor is intended to go, but I never figured any place other then the 3ph where much weight could by placed on my 1710. If it's 3ph weight, a reason for using it is that wheel weight doesn't counterbalance a tractor unless the rear wheels pull off the ground. I guess it may hold down the rear but doesn't do much for rear traction when doing heavy loader work--seems sort of paradoxical. With my gimpy PS I know I have to use 3ph weight to lighten the steering when doing heavy loader work, and of course 3ph weight doesn't do anything if it's from an implement that's working on the ground. I think you likely know this stuff but others may not.

Chief I just went to the Bailey's page. Those chippers sure aren't cheap. For that money I would probably go for one of the name brands.

A lot of heavy steel and from what I have read do a pretty good job. You mentioned the Valby chipper as being to big for the B7500. I'm not sure of its HP but I thought the Valby 140 or 150 unit would be a good chipper. I have a Cub 7234 and by the specs the Valby unit would fit my tractor. I think my Cub is much heavier and more HP than the B7500. Any comments?

I think there may be some very old discussion in the archives but I don't recall the details. My 1710 exhaust is vertical and to the side and my wife is still happier when I air jackets and coveralls in the porch before bringing them inside. I think that if the exhaust exits in front of the operator then diesel smell just goes with the territory.

This morning I read a comment on the antique board. Somebody said that an old Ford farm tractor with horizontal exhaust warms up faster than the same model with vertical exhaust. The context was that the hydraulics could be used faster when it's cold if the tractor has horizontal exhaust. Just a comment, but I guess exhaust rerouting could affect engine performance. Nothing was said if a tractor with horizontal exhaust was any more prone to overheating under heavy loads during the summer.

I'm reading all the comments here about these chinese tractors. Sounds to me that it proves the old "you get what you pay for" 70 hrs and starter problems and oil leaks? See ya! <br>

Manuals are not a problem and can be ordered from the dealer. I think any brand would be a miss if they didn't keep the parts flowing.

She is all tucked away nice and cosey in the basement garage nice and toasty with the woodstove going to keep it warm. Its too muddy and soft to take it out without mauling the yard. I've had it loaded up with chain saws, choker cables, and all my stuff to go cut wood but the weather has been nasty and it has not froze yet. Ahhhh, I can still play X-Box with the kids!

Cub, I'm with you. I own a MF 1260 and a Jinma 224. The MF is great, not one single problem of any kind since buying it in 1997, and it has some nice features. But, the Jinma is good and cost less than 1/3 the MF. With the choice of both, I'm just as happy jumping on the Jinma for many jobs. In my opinion the Jinma offers great value.
Farmpro is of course built by Jinma. My understanding is that some of the Farmpro road show assembly isn't good. I'm certain that who one buys from makes a difference.

The 2002 price list is 18,495 with a 28 HP Kubota engine.
If it runs decent the price should be right. The tractor is still being built and parts still available. It is manufactured in Johnson Creek Wisconsin. The parts are still shipped from Dalton OH but that is all we do there anymore. Unfortunately when you are owned by a large corporation they do things that end up being detrimental to customer loyalty. I would sooner buy one of the older ones than the newer ones at this point. If you bought it and have problems I can put you in touch with some dealers if need be.

Only speculation..... kubota has a 12 volt motorized directional chute on their snowblower. That might be the power source.

Your chassis is the same as on the BX2200 and is almost the same as on the BX22-23 but not the same due to the factory built and mounted subframe that comes from Kubota. You can build and I believe some manufacturer will have one built in a short time. My only thought is anything else that could be added on in another way will be to the rear so far that at best it's working capacity would be extremely low from a leverage stand point.

Ken, we have had no problems of unusual denials from Kubota on warrantee requests. All companies deal differently and we have a big difference from the best of the companies to the worst. We go from a company on the low side of the best machine performance built in it's class with manufacturer offering 1 year and I've never known them to pay a claim to paying most all claims except diagnostics. As with all machinery it's how it's built to begin with. Some manufacturers know from years of designing anduilding experience in a perticular area how to assure their customers a quality product the first time it's built.

I have a Sno-way 24C, snow plow that I had mounted on a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500. They want nearly $600.00 for a new mount for a 2002 Dodge Ram. Has anyone successfully adapted the 1996 mount to fit a 2002 Dodge?
