Below is a tidbit of "exclusive Candian order" called the Anton Piller..Its doubful you got started in the industry without help from somewhere, the question is does it point back to you? Most are civil ($$$) outcomes but it could lead to criminal implications...I will only touch lightly on this topic after this post....Ducati996<br>

Ken, it was close or about the angle of a white birch in a loose clump. Driving up a steep culvert bank on the side of the road? It would or will take a boom mower to mow it regularly and not tear it up. It was not comfortable to be there on either tractor for me these boys grew up on farms. I only climbed it they did take both down and there was little difference as far as the hydro holding back they seemed about the same. They both had ag tires on them and filled to the best of my knowledge. Going up they were moving the bar of sod completely to the next for the climb. On the way down they slid the same type of cleat but bared ground from time to time. Most all were fresh passes as two times over and it was stripped.

They both make good tractors and reliability is very important but it is not everything. You need a good dealer - even a reliable tractor needs service from time to time, and a crappy dealer will sour your experience quickly. The tractor also has to be comfortable - if you can't operate the controls easily, or if the seating position hurts your back, or if your shoulder or arm go numb from having a "sig heil" joystick, or if your legs cramp because of some weird pedal location then reliability becomes less important than comfort.

Defrosting works better with the A/C compressor on to provide dehumidification, but not sure if the Kubota cab works that way. A good thing to check methinks.

The chance the DVD will be replaced in a few years with something different than DVD is slim to none. This is similar to to debating what current power technology could replace a diesel internal cumbustion engine. I worked for Hitachi, Panasonic, RCA, Texas Instruments and Direct TV, but you seem to know more than me. The DVD is here to stay and there is NO technology for media storage I and my industry contacts are aware of that can economically replace the current DVD as we know it. Replacing the VHS VCR tape with DVD came real slow. The technology to replace DVD is not even thought of yet. Believe it or not the choice is yours.

I just got an SD 2040; The left brake doesn't work. There is no pressure or resistance in the pedal at all. The right one works fine, It only has 33 hours on the engine.

Well Yeah!, I know that. I also know the holidays are less then a week away and I am one of those that has to work on Christmas and need to get to work without leaving the wife home alone with a two year old and no vehicle in the event of an emergency. My question was " Would I be OK doing the Holiday travel or could it casue more serious trouble. I.E. I should look at a rental till I can get and appointment to get it fixed. I guess I should have been more clear. Mute point now anyway. Thanks for the feedback.

Talk to the nice people at your local feed mill, if they sell bulk corn it HAS to have been dried, they can't put anything too wet in the bins or it will go mouldy and be garbage as feed.

There is another type of stove called a side-draft style multi-fuel stove which will burn wood, pellets, chips, corn kernels or even cobs, or almost anything else flammable which will fit in it for that matter.

The trick to these units is that the fuel is gravity fed from a hopper above the firebox, the fire burns sideways because of the air feed. This means that once you have a fire burning you can put fresh cut green wood into it, the heat of the fire will have dried it BEFORE it gets to the fire, likewise, you can load it with corn straight from the field.

They make free-standing 'stoves' as well as 'furnaces', they even have a water heating jacket option I think, prices run from about US$750 to US$1850 depnding on model.

check out ERSKINE I've seen one bx-22 I think that they may have a unit to fit it. I got my 60 inch unit cheaper than the 59 inch JD unit and it 2x better built!!!
Innital set up is time consuming but the ease of on / off is great due to the sub frame set up.
I believe the bx blower like most blower mounts is pushed by the front bracket. The ERSKINE is PUSHED by the rear draw bar through the sub frame and uses the rear pto realy nice if you do not have a mid pto.

It was engaged, I grabed the shaft while the engine was idoling. <br>
Went by the dealer, and was told that the L3300DT has a hyrolicly engaged PTO with a wet clutch and he said the valve wasprobably stuck, an fairly easy fix. I ran the tractor today for a few hours and noticed that the PTO was now off. Could it be that the Chevron THF just has to warm up? By the way, it's orange, just like UDT!<br>

Most sight glass gauges thread in to the casing from the outside and seal against the casing with an o-ring underneath the shoulder of the fitting. If it is not cracked, you maybe able to reseal it with some silicone or a new o-ring. That will require removing it so you may get REAL luck and be able to park your tractor on a slope steep enough to allow removing the sight glass gauge without draining your oil down below the gauge. If you not you can use a marine type oil changer that sucks the oil out of the dip stick or add hole.

Everything that you have said still points to the screen. If the diesel sat and turned a little (biologics) then the screen is the first thing to get plugged. I also changed the fuel filter and had some improvement, but ended up needing to clean the pickup screen.
It definately could be the brakes but you can easily tell if they are dragging if you feel the casing after running a little.
