I have the same problem. I still live at my parents house, because i am in college. My father wants a self starting back generator. For the same price i can get a miller 3 phase bobcat. Since it would get mounted right by my shop it would get use as a welder more offent. He just will not listen. I would get a natural gas converter for it to run it at the house. But he wants a purpose build one so he doesn't have to go down stairs and turn the key and flip the breakers. The miller will be able to run everything in my house and at least 5 neighbors fidgerators. We lose power in every major storm.

I can't remember my renewal date either - there's lots of CRS going around. If there are any security considerations with putting the date in the profile (I can't think of any, but maybe some would object to it) you could display it only when somebody clicks on myProfile and not when others are displaying it.

What JD and Kubota tractors are you comparing? I found Kubota and JD to be close to one another price wise. You should be able to get a decent discount off off list price on either one, and be sure to compare the dealers best offers.

There was a problem developing here in Albuquerque when teenage kids were having parties involving booze, drugs, fighting and other illegal activity. In some cases, the parents were participating enablers of these events; even buying kegs of beer and so forth.

Now the law holds the parents responsible for all such activities and violations are punishable by fines and you could even have your house declared a public nuisance and lose it altogether. The fines that have been levied so far have been >$1000, so it has become cheaper and there is more general incentive for the parents to "parent" their kids. In some problem situations, houses have literally been destroyed by bulldozers after due process. (These are not the casual parties, but the places where continued illegal activity happens.)

This kind of thing works. It is harsh, but it works.

Deere makes two rear hydraulic kits for the 4110. The rear hydraulic ports are the simplest and cheapest at around $200

Anytime you add a new hydraulic circuit, it takes oil out of the system until the lines and the cylinders are full. When I hooked up my log splitter I had to replenish the tractors hydraulic system with about a gallon of fluid.

I just gotta say this even if it's not really thread related.

We have a local guy here that deals with old Farmalls and has a salvage yard. He has restored a lot of old iron. Art you may even know him, Dick Stoyell, Anyway his favorite tractors are the c's. He pulls them at antique tractor pulls and usually does a very good job I've seen him load them down with weights to pull in the heavier stock classes and whip tractors twice his size.

The c's were and still are very common around here. If anyone is intrested I will keep an eye out for them the weekly swap sheet always has something.

My comment about dynamiting an outhouse was a bit of a family joke. We had a very elderly neighbour who the nicest sweetest old man the world could ask for. His wife had died MANY years before him and the entire community pitched in and helped him out, it was not charity, just helping out. It was all this assistance that probably allowd him to stay on his own so long.

That and he was as stubborn as gravity itself.

His house had no indoor plumbing, there was a "wee' hoose" (he was Scottish and had an accent so thick it was nearly another language) out the back, and a dug well with a hnd pump on top.

He also had quite a sense of humour and LOVED practical jokes.

While he was away visiting his newest grand-daughter several of us had a work bee and built a small covered porch on the back of his house, under it was a holding tank for the newly installed toilet, powered by a small submersible pump in the well.

As he pulled up the driveway on his return his old 'facilites' went up in a cloud of smoke and debris.

He went across the yard at a full on run and 'caught' us culprits, when he asked "And just what am I supossed to do now when I have to go?" we just giggled pointed to the new addition and the crowd of friends there to welcome him home.

Years later I went to visit him in the hospital, my last visit, when I went into the washroom to 'return a rented coffee' he blew a paper bag up and on my opening the door to come out he popped it with a mighty bang.

Between his laughter he managed to say "Now we're even!"

God I miss him.

Since a lot of people seem interested in these FEL additions, I think Murf should fabricate a couple thousand and give them away for Christmas presents complete with door to door shipping to everyone on this site. The line starts to the left. Please give the width of your bucket. I'll start, my bucket is 54". Just kidding!!!

Mark is right for one of the ways to operate the hydro. I work the reverse level foot in the air with heal on the reverse petal. My heel is definitly on the floor for forward motion. I can drive for hours at that and not have any trouble.

I don't know about city driving in one of those new hybrids, I kind of like the way a tweaked out diesel with low back-pressure dual exhaust parts the traffic, kind of like Moses and the Red Sea.

I have NO problems with bike couriers or overly bold pedestrians, I just roll along at about 2,500 rpm's and watch the way clear for me.

Bigger is better..... LOL.

If the hydraulic fluid is too thick from the cold weather it will trap air and draw it through the system.

If it is a real problem you can replace the fluid with a thinner hydrostat fluid or just let it warm up before using it. A magnetic type heater may help by pre-warming the fluid.

Can't post pictures 'cause I'm not a paying member but I'm trying to post them to my Yahoo acc't. So far the big 10" snow was no problem for Aggie (wife named it that) but the backup lite wire broke so I'll have to fix when it gets warmer. 3 hours and counting.
