I am in the process of looking for a Kubota B7800 with loader, MMM, and front snow-blower. I have many quotes and my local dealer is the highest by $1500. I would like to beat the lowest price by at least another $800, but I am unfamiliar with the profit margins they set on these tractors and their willingness to negotiate. My best price so far is $20,650 and I would like to get it under $20,000.<br>

I was wondering what experiences you've had with making a deal? How much you can expect a dealer to drop? With cars I wouldn't be asking due to the immense resources online, but I have no idea as to the invoice on a tractor and equipment. Is there a way to find out?<br>

Have you had any interesting things thrown in? (ie. Shop Manuals, service, touch-up paint)<br>

My 2000 TC29 does smoke some at start-up, certainly more than my friend's new TC40. It really isn't noticeably outside, but in the barn or after dark (the lights really make the smoke show up) it is. Mine has about 500 hours now, and did settle down a little from when it was first bought.

I believe there are two flat bars that go into the sides of the bucket towards the rear. The front has two bolts on the front that need to be removed. There are two square stock L pieces that when you remove the back pins you lift the rear frame with loader controls and there are holes to install those into. Then shut off tractor and move joystick to release the hydraulic pressure and unhook hoses and back away.

I need cylinder head with valves, for a 1500 Yanmar Tractor 2TR15. Also, pistons, liners, rings, gasket, standard rod bearings, exhaust gaskets & seals for the injectors. How much for all of this?<br>

Roy, you need to be a little more specific.

Will the reverser, the shifter on the left side of the steering wheel, not move or does it move but nothing happens.

We used to have a problem with them sticking sometimes, we found that if you put the gear selector in neutral it would then let the column-mounted shifter move, then you select a gear and everything was back to normal.

Also try moving the gear selector, sometimes the hydraulic actuator sticks open and won't let the clutch engage.

I got my tractor back last night 527.00 for the injector pump to be rebuilt. 3 hrs from the dealer for his mechanics time. The pump was a total rebuild. The rack had stuck in the open position and the selenoid could not pull it back. However when I did shut the fuel valve off, The lack of fuel some how pulled it to the closed position. I guess it was just worn out and was sticking. Im greatfull it happened at home, home is where I rarely use my tractor.

I think that dealer is a little pricey unless it has a better warranty. I would try and look online for more comparison prices. I see Agaracats with a full 2 year parts and labor warranty from the dealer for 9,500. So that may be the price difference right there. <br>

Heres a Jinma place (link at bottom) that lists 4 x4 28hp Jinmas w/ loader for 9,999. For 12,400 you get the backhoe as well. Of course you would have to research this place first. Just giving you some prices.<br>

Nortrac has the equivalent Jinmas for 10,500 w/ FEL, Sunshade and 1 year parts only warranty. Might be shipping but may be no tax depending on where you live so it MAY be doable.<br>

The inner tube route would solve the leak problem, but ultimatly I will need to replace the tires. Both wear and age are against them. It is pretty easy to find non Goodyear replacements for the front sizes, but the rear tires are a another matter. I have recently found that Titan does in fact, make a 33x12.5-15 in thier Multi Trac turf tire line. Most sites, including Millers, etc. don't list or carry that size. I found them listed at TitanTires.com, a retailer-wholesaler company in Calif. Thier prices are the best I've found but shipping might be quite expensive. I'm still waiting for an email quote from them for the complete set shipped.

JParker, you can do a lot of the kind of work you describe with the FEL, but as stated it is simply not as rugged as a box scraper. Just go slow and take little bites.

Your loader should develop the same amount of power at almost any engine RPM above idle. When you increase the RPM's your get more loader speed not necessarily more lifting power.

I have never had much luck with "ripping" things out of the ground with a compact tractor either, unless it has a backhoe.

If you use that same front mount for a blade (instead of the blower) the dump circuit is the correct place to hook the hydraulic lines that raise and lower the blade, according to my old owners manual. <br>

The difference between a 3 way valve and the 4 way valve specified for the front blowers/blades is the addition of a "fast dump" circuit.

Art said it with a few words as usual. The loader valve assembly already is an open centered system and in most hookups the 3ph already is a down-stream valve, which makes it a power-beyond application. If the valve is right for the loader it should be right for a blade. There is a whole bunch of discussion in the archives about PB if you're interested in the 'why for's.' Quick connectors should be dealer stock items.

Might be interesting to inquire from Western Union if they provide what amounts to an escrow service. A lawyer could suggest ways to structure a deal that would be fairly safe for everybody but what is described doesn't sound like one of them.

I think KIOTI has changed a lot during the 3-1/2 years this thread has existed (is that right?). We are a new dealer for KIOTI so have been monitoring posts here awhile.
As I understand it, at one time there were two or three different distributors of KIOTI tractors in the USA. The old warranty policy may have been desinged to relieve one distriubtor from the burden of warranty expense on tractors that were another distributors responsibility, IT may even be that the dealer received his warranty compensation at the time of sale, this system still exists on some Chinese brands brought in by different importers.

Things are different now as Daedong (KIOTI's parent) controls the entire US distribution. My contract says I will do all authorized warranty work (and be compensated by KIOTI). We will do that regardless of where the tractor came from. I tell my customers that the warranty is good wherever they move, just like a car, it is KITOI's warranty, not the dealers.

Of course we want the parts, implement, and out of warranty work on tractors that come into our area too!

Your local dealer situation seems to be unusual as one dealer is not stocking (my contract says I'll stock!?) and the other is switching to another brand of tractor. Kioti contracts are one year agreements, I wonder if either of these are still authorized dealers?

If I did my figures right, the list price on the package you oultined (all KIOTI products) is about 17,400. Of course we seldom (read NEVER) get list.

There are some "out of state" dealers who will sell at almost no margin to earn volume discounts and turn their inventory quickly to save floorplan expenses. They know that sales out of their primary area of responsibility will not burden their dealership as they expect the local dealer to handle the after sale service. It seems to be a fact of life. Personally I paid $500 more for my pickup when I bought it locally, just trying to keep the revenue close to home and wanting a sound business relationship with my dealer. A year later I havn't needed service, did I waste my money??

THe price gap is pretty wide in your case. Probably do to the lack of interest of your local dealer. You might widen your search to see if there is a dealer you can work with closer to home than the "out of state" guys, just in case you need service, of course that is not too often on KIOTIs!

By the way, you might check, many states require the buyer to pay sales tax on out of state purchases, although you might get away with it, especially if you do not finance (no UCC filing to tip them off), but it might come up at a later time just a thought.

Good luck in your search. We just set up a CK20HST and it is a sweet little machine, big enough to do work and small enough to be a lawn tractor, I'm 5'9, 265lbs and it feels very roomy too, even to me!
