MiikeJD, you are in the wrong John Deere section. This is for antique tractors but anyway, if you haven't looked already the John Deere web site has a chart that shows all the recommended size impliments for the particular tractor. Navigate to the 4210 tractor and then click on attachments and the chart will pop up.

It is funny how a slight change in weighting can really change things. In this case my weight was the only thing holding it down.

Lesson learned.

With the 500lb wieight box the tractor is very solid. I am leaving it on until spring when the cutter goes back on and off.

Eric, how is the zoysia grass doing? With this crazy warm weather, mine has gone dormant about half and half. Should ought to be a good year for it next year with so much rain and warm temps. I don't know what the attraction is but the cats like to poop in it. Go figure. Have you got any pictures of it since you planted it?

Another good trick to prevent rust on any exposed metal or wearing areas is to paint them with lineseed oil. It dries to a clear protective finish coating and wears off once you start using it again. It would be a good idea to remove as much of the pto and other items like chains etc. to minimize the rust. Try not to let the water build up on the tarp. You can also use some T-9 Boeshield corrosion preventive compound. (CPC) It is a bit more pricey but works really good. Just spray a light coat on everything. It washes off easy. It leaves a kind of waxy protective finish. I use something like it on my trailers.

Well, I checked up on the price of a "Tricycler Kit" for 72" MMM and got sticker shock........$280.50! Call my buddy at the John Deere parts counter and he could let me have it for $255.80. Think I will just stick with what I have and run over the leave 3 or 4 times. Just can't justify the cost for that. Even my buddy at the parts counter thought the price was crazy. The leaves are a pain in the butt, "but" not $255 worth of a pain in the butt. Anyway if anyone is interested in the kit, the part # is BM18151.

On a trip though Baltimore yesterday, I passed several trailer loads of brand new Agco and MF CUTs and full sized tractors heading to all points west. I guess their ship just came in.

The dealer has told me the pump is repaired and is being shipped back via brown to his shop. Sounds like I will have my tractor home sometime tuesday I will pop the question of why the key did not kill it.

I like my tractor alot I just wish bolts, nuts etc did not loosen up or fall out like they do.

Hey Barnee I own a L2500 which is the same as the L2600 I really like it. I run a 4' Woods cutter with no problem. I also use a 5' box and have used a 5' set of scarifiers which were no problem until I went uphill with 'em buried to the hilt. All in all a good little tractor but more Horse power could always be used.

Here it's JD, NH, and Kubota. I don't know how the local Kubota dealer stays in business since his lot looks like a toxic-waste dump and their salesman are all slimeballs. The NH dealer told me once that their best sales guys worked at that Kubota dealer. There is an excellent Kubota guy about 75 miles down the road but that's a long way to go when there are good JD and NH dealers within a couple of miles.

Nice looking set of forks! How much weight can you pick up with them? By the way, nice looking M-1 is it a real one? You need the barrel stabilizer and flash supressor too. They make it look really kewl! ;-)
