There is no dash indicator showing thatthe glow plugs are on. There is also no special place for the key for activation. You just start it up. No kidding!

Yes, hydraulic shops usually can sort this stuff out. I went through much the same trying to find a t-fitting so I could test the relief valve pressure on my priority valve PS. The port on the Japanese made priority valve is 1/8" NPT but the steel line is metric, which takes a metric flare, so they use a metric fitting. <br>

There's an elbow with NPT thread on one end and a metric flare seat and metric threads on the other. I simply needed those two ends with anything could adapt a pressure gauge to as the third leg but there's no such fitting in a hydraulic shop's catalogue. NH considers the fitting a special tool and wanted 650$CDN for it. No dice says I but I haven't gotten around to seeing if a hydraulics guy will braise a third leg onto the $36 elbow I did buy from NH or simply make a whole new steel line from standard tubing.<br>

Many tractors already have a screen in the tank outlet. I'm not sure I see the reasoning for two filters unless the first was a coarser 'pre-filter' and was only intended to save buying expensive filter elements. If the filters had the same micron rating and element area the first one would plug up as fast as a single one alone and the second one would last indefinitely. Well, maybe there's are other issues I'm not aware of. Maybe increasing the water holding capacity at the bottom of the bowl--something like that. Keeping the tank topped up to reduce condensation probably would work as well.

My hoe is a Kelley B600 3ph mount. It would fit most CAT I 3ph tractor that has a flat bar type of drawbar. There is a bunch of discussion about whether 3ph hoe should be used due to possible damage to the tractor. My 6' hoe is on the small size for the tractor, was relatively inexpensive and without a lot of hydraulic muscle. It's worked out fine for my occasional light-duty use over 5 years on my 2,500 lbs. 1710. Well, the next time I need it I'll sort out whether the relief valve pressure is low or whether there's leak down in the stabilizer circuits. Maybe it'd be good if I did that before the next time I need it.

I have one of the plotmasters. I have the 4' model (3pt and pull hitch included). It is an outstanding piece of equipment. Will work about an acre/hr behind 500cc atv or 2 acres/hr behind diesel tractor. This is working cutover lanes in timber. Only help is mow the weeds down first or it takes an extra pass. Key is steel tube frame, 18" blades (heavy 800 lbs) and plow behind disk to make it cut and dig in hard ground on one pass. I use it in southern black gumbo and can't tear it up. Highly recommend.

I don't think you have seen the prices on ebay. The front blade can get up to $120 right before the snow. But most of the time i see then for $50-$75. I have a friend who needs a snow blade for his 212, if you want to sell it. I have a 214 and it has taken a beating. a good tractor. I have seen the 214 go for $250-$1250. Depends on the condition. Most in the $500-$600 range. If your close to Maryland i might want it. thanks

Buz your post tweaked my interest and I went directly to the Kioti Site to study. Why would you do it? Anything over 90lbs per horsepower is to heavy for mowing lawns. Now if you want to plow the back forty lets move on to the 110 to 120 lbs per horsepower and then you are a little light. I don't understand the value could you help me?

I like Cadet's tractors and they are built as good as many of the makes out there. The newer models being introduced are from some or the different vendors out there in the market place. They are as good as the rest of the products produced by those companies and they have been satisfying tractor operators for years! How can we beat that. Rozet, I don't know of claims of warrantee denial by any one. I don't know where you aquired that information but it shouldn't be happening any where. I sell both brands, I just want to get my customers the most bang for there buck!

Better yet I have had a JD 318 that was like new with a loader and a belly 48" I believe. You could have one or the other, nothing in between loader or mower from what I can remember. Took about an hour to change from what I can remember. The unit had 60 hours on it. had a group of rear weights about 5 or six suitcase style on a bracket hung to the rear, rear wheel weights that reminded me of our 75lb each weights as well as loaded tires. Don't ask it to backup a 10 degree slope and hit a bump with even an empty bucket! This was nearly helpless of a unit, I remember an old Cadet that a customer had that was just as bad. It is not the model or make it's the design concept in general. Three hundred lbs max lift and nothing to move it!

Indeed this might be a handy gizmo for some purposes. The spears that fit directly on a loaders quick-attach arms would generally carry more weight, though, since they wouldn't have to deal with bucket deflection and the additional leverage of being pushed out farther.

I guess if I was looking for a work truck of that size I would look at the Hino or Mitsus that Murf talked about in another post.
If I wanted to turn heads I think I would got the route of a friend of mine that built up a 5th wheel tow truck out of a 50's snub noise Ford cab over and a sleeper. It was in Hot Rod mag. I will see if I can get a picture.

There are a couple of used tractor parts suppliers around. I am not sure if they would have a used tractor block for a 950. A good uesd block is not a problem if you want to rebuild as high performance engine rebuilders of then look for high milage blocks to rebuild as they are completely stress relieved and make stronger engines.
Welding of a cast iron block is difficult as the whole block needs to be heated in an autoclave to stress relieve the weld area. There are some engine builders that are capable of doing this. Unfortunately the only one I know of right now is in White River VT.

You could use two drums as a winch if you lock in your axles and keep your cables seprated, Not a good choice.

BUT generally a drum mounted on the right wheel of a tractor meant they had used the thing as a capisian winch for raising something heavy to drop on something.

Mostly for driven wells.
