My Kobuta B6100 has a single clutch but it does not have that problem ( PTO not turning with main transmission in neutral ), it has a 3 speed PTO and it works very well even if the tractor is standing still. <br> Massey Ferguson MF240 does have 2 clutch plates but i have not used its PTO yet. MLS-<br>I agree completly with your comments...I didn't even think to bring the cow/horse info. Your right on the money...Also right on about too many people putting horses on too little ground!!! I have two horses on 6+ acres of ground...and with the lack of rain, I have nothing but dirt now!!

I will say that this problem is not the fault of the dealer, and it doesn't result from poor service. The problem comes from a fault in the<br>engine design on the old model Boomers.<br>Those of you that followed the story of my 1725 here and on Machinery Forum will remember that the smoky exhaust from the 1725 was making<br>me sick after working with the tractor for only 15 to 45 minutes. Both NH and the dealer got a rude awakening when I decided that<br>the tractor was going out to a materials lab for exhaust and engine analysis, and that if the exhaust was a health risk to me, a lawsuit<br>would be filed promptly against both NH and dealer.<br>The last straw came when I discovered that the whole end of the exhaust, both inside and back about eight inches on the outside,<br>was wet and dripping oil. At that point (about 55 hours) the engine was also noticeably losing power. The writ was being made out to<br>start suit when NH and the dealer decided that they would replace my 1725 with a TC29. The replacement was done at no additional<br>cost to me.<br>I am told by the dealer and NH that I am probably the only person in the world with heavy work experience with both the older and<br>the newer Boomer models. That said, I can tell you that no one needs to be scared to buy a TC. I also have working experience with<br>Kubota and Deere, and I would choose a TC anyday over one of those makes.<br>NH clearly corrected their mistakes when they designed the TC models. The TC was delivered to<br>me at the end of November, and I now have approximately 345 hours on it. This tractor has been severely tested, as I always work<br>machines to and beyond their capacity. Most of my work is loader work, and I have moved large rocks, hauled full buckets of heavy fill,<br>plowed snow, towed other equipment, shifted a 60 ft. mobile home to a new position, lifted and moved 1000 lb downed cow, hauled<br>manure, run the bush hog, hauled my trailer with 10,000 or so lbs. of hay bales, and, as posted below, run my hay tedder, and run<br>several hundred bales of day through my PTO driven JD 14T baler. I have yet to feel the tractor strain under load. I have yet to find the<br>job the TC29 can't do. I recommend the TC's without reservation, and for anyone that wants a compact all-around tractor for the small<br>farm, the TC29 and TC33 is without a doubt the best tractor on the market today.<br>NH is going to have to come to the realization that customer satisfaction is more important than the temporary loss they may take<br>replacing these machines. They replaced mine, and due to my happiness with the TC29, they sold five more TC's that I know of. The<br>loss they took on the replacement was more than evened out - they made a profit off replacing that tractor! If they replace Kevin's,<br>and he is happy enough with the TC to recommend even two people who buy TC's, they make a profit off replacing his tractor.

I am looking at a Kioti 1914 (20.5 hp.17 pto hp). I need a loader. One dealer sayes use only the Koiti KL102 loader and another said the Great Bend 220 is better constructed. The Great Bend appears to be heaverier built.<br>Does anybody have any recommendations on the Great Bend vs. Kioti loader issue.<br>Please help and thanks a million in advance.<br>Richard

Can any 4200 hydro 4WD owners comment on the performance of the machine for loader work - say loading from an existing dirt pile? Is it strictly a low-range task? Does it have the power to fill the bucket pretty well, or does it tend to bog since it's fairly heavy for its power class? I'm trying to decide if it would be a big enough machine for some occasional dirt and gravel moving. I would like to equip it with R4 tires but potentially mow as well. I don't need a manicured lawn but also don't want it torn to shreds. Does anyone mow with a similar setup with good results? I might also consider the 4100 hydro if anyone has any comments on it for those tasks. Thanks for any help.

I love my 4200 hydro. If you've found one, you'd better make up your mind quick or the hydro will be gone. I've seen posts from guys ordering JD hydros with NOVEMBER deliveries. Good Luck!

My JD 750 currently only has hydraulics to lift the rear 3pt hitch. Does JD or some other company sell a kit to add hydraulic lines, valves, etc. to power small implements (broom, etc.)? What is the capacity of the pump on the 750?

They are popular with some of the dealers in Central Colorado. I like what I've seen of the designs so far, these<br>loaders have some nice features. I also notice that they offer as an option the full-length mounting kits, which<br>they call the rear axle support kits. The only way that I would buy a loader that did not carry weight right onto the <br>rear axle is if that loader had been specifically designed for that tractor.....and I would expect the manufacturer<br>to guarantee that the loader would not break the tractor. <br> Back to the Great Bend loaders, a friend has one on his tractor and is pleased with it. I agree Rodney, I recently bought a TC18 and I wasn't color shopping. I just found in Southern Michigan that I could buy a TC18 for less than a B1700 or a B7300. More HP for less $. I love it and I too don't have a smoking problem, neither does the tractor. One point of comparison that I found interesting is the 3 - pt. lift capacity at 24

TC18 - 1265 lbs.
JD4100 - 930 lbs.
B7300 - 860 lbs.
B1700,2100,2400 - 1015 lbs.
This to me is an indication of strength of the entire unit and it impressed me. It also didn't hurt that when I bought New Holland Credit was offering one year same as cash! "> TC33 SMOKING AT TIME OF TEST DRIVE

While driving the highway today, I saw a Kubota L2450 and 3 point snowblower being hauled on a flatbed. No, I didn't think that a <br>snowstorm was on the way, but noticed that the Kubota snowblower had its own engine instead of being hooked to the pto.<br>What gives? Doesn't the tractor have enough power to run a 4-5 foot blower or is the reverse travel speed too fast.<br>Even my 15 horsepower Mitsubishi will handle a 4' blower on the 3 point.

MEA CULPA !!! I concede the point indeed, it seems I was misled by Kubota themselves, hmmmmm...........could it be that there was an error in the translation from Japanese to English.............NO!!!!! It seems my owners manual quotes a different spec. than you speak of, and talks about LIFT points, not HITCH points. I owe you a beer, sir, but not if you're driving your tractor, ok ?

Do NOT connect the lines together or you will have no pressure. As far as sizing goes, select hoses and valve to match flow required by the implement, larger diameter = higher flow = more $$$$, but, be sure to get one that is OPEN CENTER or your hydraulics will not work. Your local dealer (parts dept.) can show you exactly what you need, and probably make the hoses for you too if you know the length needed.
