Oh Yeah! I remember doing that. I got arty with an operation when I was taking fill from a ditch where I stored it over a winter.

Arty I say because I was driving into the ditch to pick up a bucket of fill and pulling up the next load with a box scraper as I drove out of the ditch. So, I was raising the bucket after filling it while starting up the steep part of the ditch and glanced back to see if the box was filled and forgot to take my hand off the loader valve. Yep, the noise I heard was the top of the load spilling on the tractor hood. The problem was me trying to do more operations at the same time than I could handle and was compounded by starting up the ditch bank.

No real problem except a blow to my ego and I probably went a long way toward filling up the air filter. A self-leveling loader may have prevented the spill but I probably would have needed a self-leveling tractor to make sure. If I were shopping for loaders, I'd look for one with fast-dump before self-leveling. Both features would be nice though and I have neither.

I've driven them in the past twenty years but I haven't used them to know that they were anything else, Help me out 8N! The old fords were frustrating to use as a layman because it was hard to get used to the fact of the PTO stopping as well as the hydraulic pump on some of the models.

Thermostatically controlled ones seems like a good idea. I didn't know they were available but we've only got the junk from one box store for that sort of item available around here. It's probably not an issue for me since I use mine on the cases but I still would have gone for ones with thermostats if I knew I had a choice.

I am careful where I sit mine after they've been used until they cool down. I fried a cord on a drop-light once. Could have been interesting if it was plugged in.

Hi All
I have a Jinma 354 which is the same size tractor as the 30 hp tractor. I've owned it almost a year and have put close to 150 hours on it plowing snow, drilling fence post and bushhogging 20 acres of wild rose bush, most 3 to 4 inches at the roots. I admit I was leary of a Chinese tractor because of its reputation. After owning it now I realize most problems were not about the Jinma but other Chinese brands. Yes it looks a little crude and has had a couple minor leaks but its a big 4000lb., very strong, 4x4 35 hp tractor. Parts are very easy to get now with at least 3 online parts suppliers. I'm not a dealer just a satisfied customer just like hundreds of other Jinma owners.

LOC-RIGHT IS THE WAY TO GO. I INSTALLED ONE IN MY 8.8 FORD REAR IN LESS THAN 30 MIN. WITH AN AIR RATCHET AND HAVE 20,000 MILES ON IT WITH NO PROBLEMS. A LITTLE PRICEY BUT IT MAKES UP FOR THE MAN HOURS AND A SHOP CHARGE. LITTLE NOISE WHEN THE REAR OIL IS THICK IE. 0 DEGREES HOWEVER IT DOES NOT ACT LIKE A TEMPERMENTAL 9 INCH DETRIOT LOCKER DOES. BUT ALSO LIKE A LOCKER YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFULL IN APPLYING POWER ON A CURVE IN SLICK WEATHER.

Mike, you have the blade frame, you have the blade, take your measurements and run. Remember to keep the blade as close to the front of the tractor as you can so you won't have the front of the tractor drifting while the blade is angled. It has to be some type of a V type configuration.

I think that it would be hard to find a tractor with a lower warrantee rate then the Kubota as I know that there are none built with an american name on it. All of us are different and have different needs, you need to find what you need for your own self and then pick the equipment. There are many posts as to the merits of a dealer being nearby unless you are mechanically inclined.

I know that a 55 gallon drum filled with concrete with a 3 point frame mounted to it is a good idea. I have seen it done several way and all of them work. I can't give you a sepific weight, but i know there heavy. It is a quick afternoon project you can do you self. It is cheaper than buying a ready made weight box, wheel weights, ballasted tires, etc.

THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY: There is no mark on the ckrank gear what so ever, but there is a mark on the counter weight near the gear. It's a little line in the cast near the base of the weight on the shaft portion near the gear, could this be it???

Sometimes it not the HP that makes the difference but the size and strength of the tractor. More HP is always a good thing, but the 2210 has a size limit that effects the CAT 1 from being a full one. Also a clearance limit. Hydrolic lift is another difference in loader capability, and the ability to handle JD's backhoe(46BH). 2210 is a good machine, and if you dont have the need for the extra size requirements, then you save the $5000!! I didnt think the price spread was $5000 between the 2210 and 4115 the last time I looked...

Well....She is all back together. All carefully honed, torqued, lubed. I finally had to resort to my 10 year old to start a pair of oil tube bolts that attach to the oil pump, that attaches to the governor; I then bled the injection system, it cranked for a few turns on its own. Now, it's just being obstinate. So tonight (after thursday night football) I'll re-bleed the injection system again, and give it another shot. Fortunately, ether is lacking amongst my selection of mechanikin' tools. I think I had just pushed it a little too much last night. I had spent two days trying to get those 2 bolts in, and was seriously considering using a ball peen hammer to create a new joint in my hand to reach them, when my 10 yo wandered in trying to corral a wayward dog that had decided to assist me. After seeing his obvious utility, I put him to work...only after he had cajoled a new Game-Boy game out of me. Ah, well the price we pay. Hopefully, I'll be able to give a two thumbs up by this weekend...Thanks for the support!!!!

Yes same thing I got mine the other day after having my 2210 for months. I got a hat from the dealer too. I also got them to give me a little wagon (four wheel kid type)for my wife. When the kids were small she used theirs to wheel things around. When I was getting the 2210 (plus attachments) she said all I want is the little wagon, so I told my dealer and he brought it out when delivering the tractor. The wagon cost me a extra set of blades for my 62" MMM I was trying to get them to throw in. I got a coupon off the deere web site, saved I think 30% on the blades. I also got a coupon for a free bag that goes on the back of the seat. I ended up getting more for less anyway, the wagon cost more then the blades to begin with.

It is pretty much standard procedure in the insurance industry to subrogate (ask for repayment for) a claim to the insurance carrier for party at fault.

However, as mentioned, there would be no fault in this case, the tree was healthy, the only reason it went horizontal was the wind storm, nothing the property owner did, or failed to do.

We do some restoration work for the insurance industry here, anything that involves 'earth-works' on the high end properties, big fancy estates, etc.

Some of the claims are pretty funny. We had a job two summers ago that was hilarious to everyone EXCEPT the owner. It seems that this very high-end property is EXACTLY below the approach to the Toronto airport. What happened was the 'liquid waste' tank drain valve had a small leak, at the height the aircraft was flying the temp. was so cold that everything froze into a .... 'fudge-sicle' ... on the outside of the plane, as it came down for a landing the temperature of the aircrafts skin climbed enough for it to break off.

It landed in the pool with enough force to punch a hole in the Gunite lining, causing all the water to leak out into the surounding soil and erode a big part of the raised area the pool had been built into.

It was a tricky job to do the repair without destroying the rest of the yard to get equipment, material, etc., in and out, which is why we got the job, it's just like working on a golf course while 'in play'.

BTW, last I heard this guy and his wife had REALLY reduced airfare anywhere they wanted to go.....
