Can anyone give me information as to get hold of parts for my GT161 and MM481 deck?

F350 Sounds like they like ya. But the freeze season is on the way and nothing beats fixing or unthawing a spreader with the "stuff" dripping on ya.

By the way the best way to learn to spread is: Always spread with a good wind at your back. A cold wind in the face is hard on ya. ;-)

Where can I find a hydraulic filter replacement for a<br>
Yanmar FX28D ? It needs a CAPA CP175VL-35. I understand<br>
that similar filters made by WIX and NAPA will not work.<br>
I've read posts that recommended getting the filters <br>
from an authorized Yanmar dealer, but,I don't beleive<br>
such dealers exists for unauthorized grey market tractors.

I remeber a long time ago when i use to work at a golf course we had a jd 1070 with a loader and backhoe. the rear wheels were in the wide setting. These were turf tires the rear end was almost 8 feet wide. The bucket was only 6.5ft. I when a flipped them back one day the boss wasn't around. So the rear end was a little lest than 7ft. It was easyer to drive to drive in and out of the shop. All i remember was the front tires were the same width as the bucket. I don't think you can flip them. I may be wrong.

Your 4410 is the big brother to my 4310, and if you like yours as well as I like mine you'll be VERY happy. Be sure to post some pics when you can - we all love to see peoples toys and where they use them.

After putting a few hours on it change all the fluids and i me all the fluids. engine, coolant, trans, hydro system. The go out and beat the S_t_ out of it, so if something that is a manufacture defeat will breaks while its still be under warrenty. When i bought my used JD 955 it came with a warrenty from the dealer, free labor on any repair with in 1 year. They had completly when through it so anything that would fail was replaced. I had it for 5 hours when the front ball joint broke. It was $15 for parts and about 1 hour of labor for free at $65 an hour

This is were bigger is better. Go with a 4310 or 4410 if you want new, used a 4400 or 955. Here is the set up you want, front loader, midmount mower, 3pt ersiken snow blower, 3pt posthole digger, 3pt bush hog. I used to live in Walpole, MA anywere you put a shovel in the ground you hit a rock, and i mean a ROCK. Your'll need the extra power to turn the posthole digger in the rocky ground.

Try this and it really works,for two days anyways.#1,get drunk,I mean really drunk.#2,the next day you will feel so bad that you will forget you got a cold.You can repeat as nessasary,but only experienced drunks like myself should attempt this more than twice in a week,or teenagers. I'm interested in buying a 92 Ford 655C backhoe loader. Somewhere I remember hearing Ford had a problem with the crankshafts on engines produced in the 90"s. Does anyone know what year and what models had problems. Any opinions in general with this machine is appreciated. Thanks, Frank

If you shop around you can get the 7800 which is the 2910 without the bells & whistles (better seat and adjustable steering) for about the same price.

Well guy's I haven't been here for a while ,but while I've been gone I bought the Landini 5860 I had been asking about.<br>
I have to tell you that so far I'm well pleased with it.It is one hoss of a tractor.Been doing some pretty rough ground clearing with it and It will throw rooster tails with a 6 ft. double gang disk. The only problem that I have had is twisting up the drive shaft on my bushhog. I puchased a shaft rated for a 70 hp tractor when I bought my tractor and it twisted it into in a blink of an eye. May have to put a clutch on my bush hog.

make sure first the tire you have on the machine is truely the size it is stamped with !! If it turns out its not really a 23 x 10.5-12 then you will have less room in the wheel well then you think you did, when you actually get a true 23" or bigger tire..look at carlisle tires web site with their acurate dimensions in the PDF file...

bnshiffl There will be a Backhoe avliable for the X-series in the Spring of 2004 By Kwick-way that you will be able to use with your 45loader on the tractor and not have to use there loader inorder to use there backhoe.

I really appreciate your feed back. I think your right about the power concerns. the local dealer has a 2000 4300 with a new FEL that they are asking $20,000. That seems high, but maybe I can add a backhoe, and save some $. Also, the new eHydro's seem to have some issues, but warrantee should take care of those conerns.

Also, saw a well maintained '87 750 with 1100 hours, FEL, backhoe (2 buckets) and snow plow, he' firm at $12500, but an '87 1050 with 850 hours a FEL and back hoe just traded for 15,500 in the area. Any thoughts on this situation?

Speaking of ether detonation, and the damage from same, I was at the engine rebuild shop today picking up a redone Wisconsin. I asked them their opinion on what goes first from grenading an engine with ether, it was a unanimous decision.

The single most common damage is a hole blown through the face of the piston. It seems that the combination of the cylinder walls and the lands (the 'meat' between the rings) is strong enough to hold quite a load and the piston is the sacrificial part of the equation. I guess you proved the point with a $66 piston instead of a blown cylinder wall.

Hopefully you can get it back together despite the langauge barrier without any spare parts left over.

Used equipment makes sense if you know that it was taken care of by its prior owner.

I tend to favor the big three manufacturers simply because of reputation, parts, and service. I can get parts for each one of the big three where I live, but not for Yanmar. Your situation may be different, and I don't know of any other negatives for Yanmar tractors in general.

I like gear transmissions others like HST. This is more of a personal preference issue. It is almost like a religion and there are few converts from one side of this fence to the other. I don't know the Yanmar Powershift transmission myself, but if it is a shift on the fly synchro tranny, you will like it compared to the older style non-synchro transmissions.
