I still do not get more than about 25% of the email notifications relative to the postings given / responded to. I read your last post, regarding the "for now" change that you made. I figured, well, maybe I should check/change these settings accordingly, just in case this is where the problem lies. When I try to change, I immediately get a pop-up white screen that alarms me of "Internal Server Error". I back out of the page and try again, to the same result. What can I do to recieve email not's?<br>

We still have a blacksmith in the area that will hammer out the blades and case harden in the forge. He is quite reasonable and does a good job.

What I have done to my FEL's, has been mentioned - plant the bucket on a hard level surface and cut the rod off at the same height/length as the top of the tube. I prefer this method over a paint mark or notch mark, as I do much loader work in the dark. As TomG pointed out, I believe we all feel our work after a period of time on the units, however as darkness falls upon us, a shadow will set on the tube/rod assembly rendering little visibility in the dark. By using the "cut the rod" method, this shadow that has developed by the headlights, is quite sufficient to accentuate the leveling process. (Yes...One could call me the "moonlight contractor", lol)

Doesn't Roundup herbicide work on Kudzu? You would have to be careful, but it kills every plant that I know about. It degrades when it hits the soil, so it will not get unsprouted seeds, but it will get into the roots and kill runners.

The mower uses a tire to power the rotory cutter. It looks like a 6 ft on the picture I have. Can find only a little on the web.

Ken Here is my indicator idea.
Basically it is just a little weighted drum with a pointer. I plan to set it up so that the drum will rotate and follow a weight in the bottom. It will have two zones. The white zone is safe and is from forks level to tilted back. The red zone is indicated when the forks tilt forward. Level is a the intersection of the red and white zones. I may put some degree marks to give me some further indication. I should be able to tell at a glance where I am and keep the forks level as I raise them.

I remember your comments about the self leveling forks. In my opinion, it would be extraordinarily complicated and heavy to do this with a parallelogram mechanism. So the other option is with a hydraulic servo that would attach a sensor to the forks and level them. That could even keep them level if you go over uneven ground. This would not be cheap to do, but it would work. If you took my indicator drum idea and tied that into a valve or electronic sensor, you could do it.

Seems pretty good... I bought mine from a dealer in Southern Indiana for $16,550 - 4310 4WD E-hydro w/ R4 Tires, MX5 Bushhog, and 5' grader blade. Purchase was in April 03, however I just purchased the 430 Loader today for $3,150. I thought I got a good deal on the loader until I saw your price. Great job!

Murf, if staying with the Bush Hog 84T design the second gearbox is just a ninety which means you don't need a offset with the shaft drive. Those style driveway amintainers are quite common.
