I would think the forks would be good for driving into a pile of brush and picking up more than the FEL could at one time.<br>

In an effort to lighten the mood I thought I'd give this Topic exactly what it's called, "Just for fun.", so here is the first, and possibly last, joke 'o' the day.<br>

An Amish lady is driving to town in her horse-drawn buggy and a policeman stops her. <br>

"Don't worry ma'am you weren't doing anything wrong, I just wanted to tell you that the reflector on the back of your buggy is broken. You should get it fixed right away, I wouldn't want anything to happen to you out here on this busy road." says the officer.<br>

"Thank you so much" she replies "I'll have my husband attend to it as soon as I get home."<br>
<br>
"Oh, and I see the harness is a little tangled up there to ma'am" the officer adds "In fact it appears that one of the reins is wrapped around your horses testicles and, well ma'am, some people might take that as animal cruelty. You should get that straightened out too."<br>

She again thanks him for pointing these problems out to her and wishes him a good day, and away she goes on her way.<br>

Latrer when she gets home she tells her husband that a police officer stopped her to say that the reflector is broken and can he fix it for her.<br>
<br>
"Of course dear, I'll get right to it." he replies.<br>
<br>
"Oh" she says "he also mentioned there might be a problem with that new emergency brake you hooked up last week too."<br>

My dealer let me know from the beginning that transportation would be on me. That was OK with me, he is 1-1/2 hours away, and he dealer traded for my tractor, so he had to go get it to start with. He has been good to work with, I guess the trick is to negotiate such things up front.
I use Delo in my TC29; I just wanted to use something that was available at Wal-Mart and/or the local truck stops in case I needed some in a hurry. I order Wix filters from NAPA; last time I checked they could get any filter except the HST transmission filter.
When I installed my block heater, I hit it on the edge with a punch and hammer, but instead of spinning around, it pushed the whole plug in. I trapped it in place with the punch and got hold of it with some small vise-grips to pull it out. Having the vise-grips in reach helped. The heater installs like an expansion plug; turning the center bolt expands a rubber washer and seals it tight.

Another good way to do it is to leave the rod a little long and just paint it one solid colour, then put the markings in the loader arm next to the rod.

If you do this, and then put a series of marks along the arm and identify them you can tell at aglance not only when the bucket is level but also when and how far the bucket is past level in both directions. This is particularly useful for tasks like shaping or back-dragging where you want to know the position of the bucket when it is NOT level also.

The benefit of this method is you can get an idea how far BELOW level it is, when scooping up material a slightly down-turned bucket is often more effective.

Well...I think I found it! It appears after doing some rather obvious troubleshooting, that the noise heard, squealy harsh moan, was found to be able to duplicate by lifting the orange via the FEL, shutting off the tractor, and spinning the front wheels simeltaneously in the same direction. Almost immediately, one could tell where it was coming from. The drive shaft coming from the tranny case to the front axle assembly, drops through a cover tube and boots, that connect with a u-joint yoke, then drives a splined shaft assembly to the front axle. This splined shaft assembly, otherwise called the "spiral bevel gear shaft assembly", houses at the rearside, a seal, bushing, bearing and stake nut to hold all together. The seal was immediately found to be kaput, as the boot housing was filled with gear oil that leaked thru, from the front axle. Upon turning the assembly, even realizing a strong preload, it turned extremely tight, and was/is very harsh feeling - hence the bushing and/or bearing are shot as well. Parts are ordered, then we should be back in gear...so to speak. Thanks to all for the assistance! I'll keep you posted after the parts get in next week sometime.

As far as the warrany issue. I'm not sure how warranty works with used tractors.
If the warranty had expired most mfg's would most likely not help with warranty issues regardless of how few hours are on the machine.(Again this is my opinion,I don't know how mfg. handle these problems).

I was reading where Kubota offers a factory installed cab on a CUT and I have read that some of the Curtis cabs sometime "rattle" a little bit,do not know for sure, just what I have read. None of the after market cabs offer A/C.

I have had a similar problem at 50 hours and it has subsided with use and some grease. At 120 hours the problem has seemed to been resolved.

Geez! Never thought of that! I use a power washer on my engine about once a month. If I didn't, the engine would be extremely hard to inspect and do maintenance on. Heck, it would be extremely hard to FIND!

Mark, I like the 'pump version' even better, it is easier and more likely to develop the necessary pressures required to tilt a heavy implement, like a box-blade. I would do it a little different though, I would use a traditional hydraulic top-link, but mount a small hand pump & reservoir on top. If it was positioned carefully you could swivel around and pump it from the seat, or mount it remotely, on the fender say, and control it as if it were a regular remote valve.

Blueman, this is an easy one, the only limiting factor is that the further back the load is carried, say behind your splitter, the more the load, like the tongue of your dump wagon, effectively weighs. This can be at least partially ovecome by mounting large heavy caster wheels under the tongue. Another way would be to mount the splitter ON the dump wagon, therby using one item to carry the other, you would only need to extend the lines to the splitter, or plump them together. Since the dump wagon is probably used to carry the wood this is probably the easiest way to do it.

The Pictures you posted are about 11k in size. You are actually allowed to have Pix up to 30k (3 times bigger than you posted), and secretly I have boosted that to about 40k to accommodate wide formats, I calculate pix size based on a load formula, as I cannot tell the size before hand, that's why some pix that are kind of big get truncated, so you are better off staying close to the 30k limit if at all possible.<br>

If you are following my howto you can experiment with different settings and check the filesize in File Explorer in windows before you load it. The howto uses MSPaint as most everyone has it, there are many other image editing products on the Market that can do the same thing, and usually better.<br>

Now I'm mad..I bought this TC45D used, but still under warranty. The local NH EQUIPMENT (no tractors) dealer WON"t work on it. The closest NH Tractor dealer, after much arm twisting, will work on it, but obviously, won't "do as much" for me as one of their own customers. They want to charge me for any work, and THEN submit to NH for reimbursement. I only need them to look at the temperature guage, the tach started acting up, a couple small leaks, and the HST pedals are sticky. Maybe I should have gone GREEN!
