I am not exactly following what a universal skid steer hook up is. Can somebody post a link or something so I can see a picture of one? Maybe I am thinking different terminology. Thanks!

Good to hear and I think so too.

I did have a further thought about the diff lock. When you've got to use them you sure don't want to stop or slow down to engage them since that sort of defeats the purpose of having more traction. I'm guessing that frequent use in heavy draft situations like log skidding may exceed the design parameters. Not that they shouldn't be expected to last longer but that it's a compromise that would be adequate for most owners long term use. It might make them last longer if draft could be reduced before engaging it.

I was having the same problem on my new MF GC2300. Dealer took HST pedal apart and emory-clothed the "pivot". Works much better now (though not completely fixed). He said they usually work into smooth operation after ~50 hours, but obviously, you're beyond that point.

Yikes! I accused myself of not thinking things through so I'll bash myself before anybody else does. I'm not certain if indexing cylinders are used where cylinders are connected in parallel and the lightest load moves first rule prevails. I heard of them once in passing but it was a platform idea. I'm mostly interested in figuring out what they are.

AC is likely right and they can repaired by a dealer, most any auto-electric shop or by yourself. A dirty alternator can produce similar problems so it's a good idea to clean the armature and check the brushes, springs etc. if it's going to be torn apart.

If you want to test, I'd check the battery condition with a hydrometer first. Output tests aren't reliable unless the battery is good. Then I'd stick a voltmeter on the positive battery terminal when the tractor is running around 1500 rpm. In most systems it should be 14V - 15V. If the voltage is OK I'd increase the rpm and check that the voltage doesn't increase much. Then, drop the rpm and I'd put a load on the system and see if the voltage drops. Ideally the load should be near the alternator's rated output. A bunch of lights might do it but maybe add a small cigarette lighter gadget around 100w.

If I wanted to carry on with testing, I'd use an ammeter to check for battery drain when the tractor and switch are off. Around 50ma is fairly normal but my old Ford is much less. If there's significant drain, I'd remove all fuses from the block and see if the drain is still there. Significant drain can be caused by dirt and alternator wear but is often caused by bad diodes. While at it, I'd clean all terminals and the chassis end of the ground cable.

A manual would give specific tests for the regulator circuits if the output tests fail. I haven't mentioned current output tests, but a voltage output test will catch most problems.

You might have a need for the larger alternator with the extra lites that you are spec'ing. I don't think you are doing to bad for the shopping list you have.

Martin most all units do what you are seeing just in varing degrees. I know from time spent on our forklift doing roof work that I only had so much time before it needed to be raised again and on and on. They all do sag unless you do have lock outs. The lockouts are one of the best ways to ensure your safety vs the valves.

Several manufacturers do offer offset hogs so you might want to see if he has them available. They do cost a little more but they will make mowing easier and give you a better quality job.

Sandie: I'm not sure how the PS is set up. On many tractors there is a separate pump and the HST/main pump wouldn't have anything to do with steering. My Ford PS is fed from a priority valve off the main pump. Could be either setup.

The steering sounds like a sensor problem. Many systems have a power assist servo and there isn't a mechanical linkage between the steering wheel and the wheels. There is a sensor often on the steering wheel shaft that detects motion to determine direction of the hydraulics. There's a chance the problem is a misconnection when the new pump was installed but it's very tough to say without a manual.

If the blowby is out of the crankcase breather there may be serious problems with the engine. Excessive exhaust smoke also indicates problems but these are more frequently adjustment or filter problems. If the tractor has sat around a lot you might try a tank of fresh diesel, changing the fuel and air filters and the using an additive such as Marvel Mystery Oil. Think on the bright side and maybe a simple fix will do it but maybe see if the rep can come up with a manual to help other mechanics.

It doesn't sound like you're having much luck with the tractor. There have been a couple reports of broken castings on Kioti here but from most discussion they seem to be OK tractors. However, dealer support is a good reason for many people to pay higher the prices for one of the big 3 or 4.

The TC29 engine displacement is 81.2 cu.in./the TC30 engine displacement is 91.3 cu.in.(the same as the TC33D).<br>
The TC29 has the9x3 gear trans/the TC29D has the HST trans/ the TC30 is available with either the 9x3 gear trans or the HST trans.<br>
The TC30 does have wet brakes and live power take off.<br>
The TC30 makes slightly more horsepower.<br>
You should go to the New Holland web site and compare all of the specs.

Clarence: Sorry I misinterpreted what you are doing this morning. Well, what I described is something owners of older farm tractors have to deal with so the description might interest some people.

The bright side of your question is that depending on the existing hookup maybe nothing special is needed. The hydraulic ports on my mid-80's Ford are all standard NPT. There's a decent chance your Yanmar is similar unless you know otherwise. My loader valve is British and is connected to the manifold with standard flex lines and fittings. The line fittings may be Whitworth thread but that's fairly standard in international use.

Where my problems would come is finding fittings for flared steel lines. These lines on my Ford are metric and metric lines take metric flares. The only fittings I'm sure work with them have metric threads. What is on my Ford in these places are fittings where one end is NPT threaded for a port and the other is a metric thread to accept the nut on the flare fitting. However, these fittings are available from my NH dealer, and JD dealers may have similar ones for their older compacts.

If any of these tractors use the same diameter metric steel lines as your Yanmar, there's a good chance NH or JD dealers could get fittings for you. I'd check a hydraulics shop first because they have catalogs of what's commonly available. They also can identify the threads if you aren't certain what they are. I do have a rule for myself though. I never take a fitting apart that's still working unless I have a new one already at home.

The ATI adaptor was priced right and a great option. They build them for most all manufacturers and they only convert to skid-steer type connections from pin type.

I think you would find the 1600 dollars plus in resale value. Weight doesn't mean anything if it is in the wrong place and it might actually hinder the movement and responses of the tractor making sluggish and more expensive to run if you don't need it or need to add more yet to balance.

Have had my 2210 for 6 weeks and 40 hours of use. I've been pulling stumps using a ripper on the 3ph and hauling top soil with the 53" bucket. It does alot more than I thought it would and fits into tighter spots than the larger models. I'm totally satisfied.
