Does a registry exist for stolen tractors? A really good deal has popped up and it would seem reasonable to verify that it is not stolen. Where would that be? Everyone wants orange!

You can tell by looking at the front rims. If you 'flipped' them ( so the valve stems now faced in towards the tractor)would the wheels be set out wider or narrower?

Just jack up the tractor and switch them if you want. If you have R-4 Industrial tires they are directional and you will need to switch the rights to the left as well as 'flipping' them so that they still rotate the right way when you are going fowards. You will see arrows on the sidewall.

Tractor has plenty of power but the motor shrunk and the hp went from 30/25 to 27/24.

I know.... I was one of the ones who ordered under the old specs. but took delivery under the new. I was not happy at first but soon realized the tractor has PLENTY of power for the size and weight.

Great tractor and I would buy it again.

My local dealer insisted there would be no advantage to a cash sale vs. the 0% financing, so I financed my 790 purchase (including loader, box blade, blade, and post hole digger) over 24 months with 0% down and 0% interest.

Anyone experienced with the Cub Cadet 7254 with the KAWASAKI 25 hp<br>
gas engine? I like the looks and the price but most compacts in this range are diesel. I have two Fords and a Deere on gas with no problems. I will be cutting 4 acres and moving snow in Central New York with the bucket. Any experiences?

You are either a Wrangler fan or you aren't, there is no middle ground with them. I learned to drive standard shift on a 49 Willie flat hood and have had an affection for them ever since. In fact, when we went to road test the Liberty a week ago there was a new Rubicon in black on the floor. I would have given my eye teeth for it but the wife worked some sense back into my emotions. I still miss my 94 Wrangler!

Yes, I was focusing on the "inexpensive" part of the original thread-starting message.
I know that the implements I mentioned are commercially available, just to pricey for me to buy. The ROI of a PTO mixer would have to be such that it would be cheaper to build or buy than to have concrete delivered.
Murf, the chipper would be next on my list. I would have no idea on how to build one, yet they are WAY too expensive for me to buy for occasional home use. Same goes for a FEL...it would be great, I just can't justify buying one.

I have a few Hinimoto MB1100 tracktors that i am needing tune-up parts for, like carb kits, points, condensors, etc.. Does anyone know where parts are availible to order? also whould like to have a repair manual on the MB1100. Can someone tell me what the points and plugs set at?<br>
The engines are gas and look a lot like the Kolher engine, does anyone know if there are American parts that will interchange with the Japan parts?<br>

Asphalt suppliers use a very light mixture called dust oil they also use their equipment to spray it by the sq yard/meter. We also squirt calcium but that is used more for soil stabilization in road beds.

The prefered solution is oil and stone, or better yet pave it. Then you have to live with increased speeds.

Now there is an idea make some pot holes and slow your traffic down...

As I said before your township should be taking care of your dust control. Many towns here spray a couple of times a summer and the results on lightly traveled roads is excellent.

The kubota rep is saying that is what is acceptable to Kubota (2 inches in 5 minutes). He showed me a paper that says this. My Kubota does not leak that much, but it does leak down probably 15 inches in an hour. I'm talking on the front end loader now. Doesn't matter whether bucket is empty or full. The rep is saying that it is probably in the self leveling valve. They have replaced this valve and several other valves which have done no good. Rep says that they are only having problems with the L48 since it is the only TLB that has the self leveling valve. B21 and L35 have manual leveling . He says manufacturer of valves don't have tight enough tolerances and that Kubota is satisfied. He is willing to put electric lockoff valves on front end loader and backhoe if I want. I just think that this is not the proper fix. This is why I would like to know if any other L48 owners are having the same problem.

Josh I do not think lenght is a concern. Moisture in the ground is going to produce some good ruts.

If you have a good roler you can roll them out while soft and fill in the rest of the low spots and reseed.

Grass is very good cover and will take an unbeliavable amount of abuse and return lush in the spring.

I have a TC29D and am partly responsible for a friend buying one, his vision was to use it around the house , and someday to quit his full time job and do tractor work to feed his family. Well.... he bought the tractor, and did some work around his house , and found out about insurance, truck and trailer expenses to move the tractor and gave up on the idea to use the tractor commercially. So now he is making payments, not making any income and wants to sell , I said I could either sell it here or get advice the best way to sell a 2003 TC29D with front loader and backhoe. less than 150 hours and only 6 months old. I can post it here, and on ebay, but thought if I put this posting up people may have other ideas, or know someone looking to get a $24,000 tractor for whatever is fair, I figgure $19,000 or so email me for more information or with ideas how to sell this almost new unit.

There is a company called Sedore which manufactures a nifty unit, the fire burns sideways not vertically, drawing wood down from a hopper in the top of the stove. The hoppper allows up to 24hrs. burn time from a single load, it will burn almost anything, wood, pellets, corn, even corn cobs & sawdust.

The biggest benefit being that once it is running you can load the hopper with greeen wood and by the time it gets to the fire it is already dry.

They also make a model with a water jacket, I'm not sure if it is approved for potable water, but I do know several people who use them in conjunction with a circulation pump and radiators to spread the heat to other rooms.

There is no reason you couldn't use the hot water from such a unit to pre-heat the water in a storage tank. In fact they make, as strange as it sounds, hot water-fired water heaters, actually a water-to-water heat exchanger, for people who use a boiler to heat the house and domestic hot water. In your case the woodstove would pre-heat then keep the water in the storage tank warm (hot?) until the water heater called for it, then you would only pay to heat it from that point up to what you desire. If you used much hot water and kept a fire going anyways the savings could be substantial.

I've got to agree with Murf, ride is about tire size and to a lesser extent tire pressure and tire construction.

Wheelbase does also enter into it to as a longer wheelbase does reduce fore and aft pitching.

If I was looking for a softer ride I would stay away from R-4 industrial tires AND fluid filled tires.

I can tell you from my experience that there is a HUGE improvement in ride and traction when you substitute radial SUV tires on the rear of your tractor. The rim sizes for you present tractor will cross over nicely to large Radial SUV tires.
