That 7 foot ROPS is on the BX22 and is used to provide more head room while operating the backhoe, and besides it folds.

The BX 1800/2200 have a ROPS in the 6 foot range that does not fold.

I am thinking the ROPS on the BX1500 would be a couple inches shorter that the 1800/2200 due to the smaller tires.

We have a 655 4wd with belly mower 12hundred hrs well looked after for sale by bids at the plant where I work, what should I bid for it? also seperate is a 3 canister grass catcher seperate blower (JD)what should I bid for that and also a spayer attachment. what should I bid for all.

What happened to your user ID? Actually, there are a TON of options available for load carrying on these things. Not to mention aftermarket up the kazoo. Still not positive what is going to happen with my thought process on the subject though.

I do like Junkyard wars when I can catch it. Monster garage is pretty slick too. I guess the thing I like about moster house is that their seems to be no budget so they can gety really crazy. Mostly I like watching how theese guys can fabricate stuff out of metal. I think thats really interesting stuff to see them change things for the better. Dave

Just finished the 50 hr service. Oil was very clean. Very few metal chips and they were quite small. Does Kubota have a customer survey for new owners to provide feedback?

I'm not sure what all types of pine you have. But I do know ya-all have lots of oak. So maybe it would work for you.

We have lots of hemlock the prefered siding material for anyone who wants to use board and bat. The big winerys just west of us use that. Another one I like alot because of the redhue is Larch.

The beauty of the 2 I mentioned is you put them on and forget them. At my house I keep it as natural as possible.

I think (I haven't bought any in a few months) hemlock is around $.45 BF and Larch is a little more.

I do not have a much it on my rear discharge but have not raked leaves as they are cut up enough to blow away or rot down. The pine needles on the other had still need raking.

I use straps. I have two straps in the back. I attach one from the backhoe subframe to a stake pocket on each side. On my tractor, the swinging drawbar is removed to accommodate the backhoe subframe.

In the front, I use a single strap wrapped around the front axle going from a stake pocket on one side to the stake pocket directly opposite it.

Straps are 2" heavy edge-guard nylon with ratcheting tighteners.

Last weekend I saw one of the coolest things I've ever seen. While out cleaning up around the barn a stealth bomber flew over very low and fairly slow. I am not a plane nut but, this thing was awesome. I wish i had time to get a picture. There was an airshow at a near by naval air base.

I put one in my TC33D last winter it took about 15min the directions were very good. The hardest thing was routing the plug wire so it did not get tangled. I pulled the plug out with a screwdriver and a needle nose plier.

I have not heard any bad info posted on the board. I would think that it sounds as if there is something wrong with the hydraulic pump of relief valve. Most of the hoe units are not from the same source as the tractor.
If your primary application for the tractor is using it as an excavator then I would either look at a larger unit like a NH 555 or check out Kubota's L35.

I've often found little secrets that help a little. After you have removed the deck and reinstalled take the time to review the manual again. It should be able to be done in about 5 minutes with a good program.

Just a thought. The local JD dealers say that the X series are comparable with the BX Kubota's. Did you ever look at them. They do price comparable and they are for the believe it or not comparable size! The BX is a smaller unit then the 2210's in most all dimensions but they give you the ability to use bigger attachments.

Willie, I haven't heard but I would wonder why. They already have the BX series which is one of the greatest machines introduced this century. To build a universal unit would be sticking the neck out so to speak as far as reliability. I'm scheduled in to see the new Bota's on the seventh thru the ninth so when I get back I'll have all the good info for you.

One of the courses I work on came up with a rather novel approach, they were looking for under eaves and ceiling lights for several buildings (washrooms mostly) out on the course where there was no electricity, or running electricity was just too expensive in terms of tearing up existing landscaping.

The solution was to install flush-mounted LED truck lights, they are powered by a small deep-cycle 12v. battery which is maintained by a small solar panel. They even went so far as to wire up two differenbt circuits hooked to a motion sensor, certain of the lights are two level, marker and signal presumably, the higher intensity circuits and the interior lights come on when motion is detected, the rest of the time it is low level outside lighting only.

It seemed pretty weird at first, but it works fine and the amount of light those little things give off is pretty impressive given the low power consumption.

I thought about using them myself, since the lower power draw means I could run far more of them from a single power supply.

Bliz, in our field we use something informally called the "Truck Rule" for verifying the quantity of material delivered. It is surprisingly accurate overall.

Here's how you apply it, before the truck dumps it's load you measure the width, length and height of the load, average a heaped load in height. By multiplying the width, length and height you have the cubic feet, divide that number by 27 (cubic feet in a cubic yard) and you the quantity in yards.

It is easierfor us because as a rule truck dump boxes are only a few standard sizes, so the cubic measure does not have to be calculated every time from scratch, we just adjust the height number and multiply it with the floor size (length by width) which is a constant between loads.

Koyker makes a very strong loader for sure. They also are quick detachable. I would suggest you either call them or email them for specs on your particular application.
