Definately new data on the new tractors to the NH line. The current line has been out about 8 years so I guess it is time for a revamp to stay competative to JD and Kubota. JD revamped last year and the line was a similar age.

Murf - I agree with the concept of selling dealers on memberships to the Tractor Point. I have talked with any dealer I have visited in the last few years, most do not think there customers are computer literate. Old school vs new school. This is probably not the case but?<br>

Tom and Art - I hate to see a posters question go unanswered and I have seen a few slip by as the rolling window does not pick up the obsure question that few are capable of answering. If it is in a hot topic it can easily be covered up by the next post. Maybe we could have another window with new posts only so we can be more helpful.<br>

I think were are missing a potential source of revinue in the classifieds For example there are 50 listings from this year in JD. If we charged to post on this listing and made sure it only ran for the period paided for. There would be a additional source. If I run an add in the local paper the it cost me to sell equipment. A comparible charge? Additional for Pic?<br>

I discussed with Dennis the idea of having data sheets on tractors on the web. Currently we look to this or that site to find data in various forms. If we had data in a consistant form that the user/buyer could print out and compare the data on his new or used equipment buys. This would possibly be in strip form that the user could overlay each data strip to compare the new and used tractors of interest. JD has something but it only covers new tractors and probably would require more time. This would attract additional users and could possibly be used to attract sellers as the seller could link to the specs on the tractor. <br>

I would think this could also be a good dealer attractor as he often doesnot have all the data on a used tractor. Like other links we could also make this a feature that requires membership after a number of uses or to print data?<br>

I don't agree with Chief here on the discount but I don't have the brand that he is most familiar with. As stated the economy units have less discounts from the manufacturers then the top end models. Some things for you to play with. How about a couple cans of touch-up paint, free fifty hour service, 100 hour service,or the filters and oil to do your own, extra set of blades for the deck, extra shear pins for the snow blower, free trucking during warrantee or a hat or jacket. The discounts do change from one area to the next as maybe a model doesn't sell well in an area and they are over stocked. If you are looking at a popular unit, don't count on big discounts or 0% interest if they are telling you it will take three months to get unless you get in before the company realizes the shortage.

Sounds OK but might take a bit of life out of the alternator and extend the battery recharge time a bit. Well worth the extra light I'd think. <br>

I'm not sure what the SAE standards for wiring are, but it's good to use adequate gauge wiring. I used 16-gauge for my 2 55W lights and emergency flasher. That's may not quite up to residential codes even if the circuit is fused at 10A, but residential codes are higher than SAE I think. It's good to know that wire gauge requirements are determined by current rather than voltage. 12V lighting takes a bunch of amps.<br>

Around here on the highway there are plastic bottles of what locally is known as truckers' lemonade. One ended up in the middle of our drive. A real delight! At our camp, a few years' back somebody dumped an RV holding tank about 200' from both our front doors and not much further to our dug wells. Even more of a delight!

I'm sort of off RV's lately. They frequently use the mowed and fenced yard at our camp as if it were a public rest stop that somebody else was paid to clean up and nobody minds if it's used for doggy relief. A bunch of RV owner's should know better. It's not my fault if people buy such behemoths that the only place they can eat lunch is at a truck stop. Well, there are two real rest stops within short driving distances either direction from our camp. Good scenery there and you can even turn the behemoths around. Well, most owners could, but I wouldn't mind seeing a requirement for driver's licenses that commercial drivers of anything that big have to have.

A voice from the other side here. The super steer on the NH is needed for manuverability. Without it they are not up with the rest of the market for steering. The time that it takes to wear those extra pivots out is a variable and the loader will help to do it faster from the extra load.

Was it the suction line? If it was, I don't know how driving home with the pump running without an oil supply might affect it. Hope it turns out to be an easy fix.

No matter if it's suction or pressure side, I'd check for obstructions that might have entered the system through the break. On the pressure side, a disconnected quick-connect would likely close the line and open the relief valve. Driving for very long in that condition wouldn't do the pump any good either.

Greg, I have not heard of any problems like what you have described with these tractors. Can you tell me a little more as to exactly what the failure is? Is it the mounting of the bearing or the bearing? What kind of tires do you have on the front? Is it hard to steer? I do consider this far to frequent a repair and there must be something causeing it.

You guys are GOOD!!! from my side of it the info here thats been given is tough to beat. I will add this, the low grade fuel only has about a 90 day shelf life. The cooler temps of the winter lenghtens the seperation and break down on it compared to summer. Any way you look at it to drain or stabalize is a neccesity. In some of the older more complex carbs I was informed that the drying out might hinder the gasket life on them but I have never seen any type of it myself.

They do build good products. We did work with them for a couple of years and still are indirectly with the Ferris mowers. During this time I have found them to be a concerned and dedicated company.

EJK the problem with PHD is that once you put your fence or shed up you rarely use them again. If you install fence for a living Thats a differant story. I had about 1500ft of board fence to put up so I went to TSC and bought thier PHD for $349.00 + $80.00 fo an auger. I punched several hundred holes with no problems and it should fit on your BX if other 3pt cat 1 PHD will fit. Good luck.

Sorry guys, I come by my sense of humour honestly though, I was out with my Father recently, at the place we stopped for coffee a fellow at the next table couldn't stop sneezing. When he passed comment that he wished he could find something to stop the sneezing, my Father said he had a guaranteed cure, take Ex-lax, a whole package of Ex-lax. The guy, without thinking, said "Ex-lax will stop my sneezing?" Dad replied "You eat a whole package of Ex-lax & I guarantee you won't have the nerve to sneeze for DAYS!!"

It worked too, the guy laughed so hard that he could barely breathe, let alone sneeze.

Don't even ask about his cure for hiccups....

Nonetheless, I am about 75% complete with a PDA version of TractorPoint. Here is what it does.<br>

4) It lists the last 10 messages by user in posted order<br>
5) You click to see the post one message at a time<br>

I have used it on my PDA and it is very cool, I think it could be used on a digital phone but replying a PDA is tough enough, a phone keypad ughh! I think I'll pass for now.<br>

If there is anypone besides me who is interested in what I think is a very low cost efficient way to view some recent posts on a PDA let me know. Don't all come forward at once... Ok that's better one at a time... great ;>)<br>

Personally, I wonder how many of those trolls got thrown out of tractor dealers for screaming at the poor salesman, telling him at the top of their lungs that it was un-American to want to make a profit off his God-given right to a tractor.

As for the diets, I tried one 5 years ago, it worked great, I lost 135 pounds in two weeks.

I went away for two weeks and when I came home she was gone.

It's true what they say, you do feel aLOT better after you lose that much weight.
