They were manufactured in 1975 & 1976. Also need to find out what trans. & engine. They came with:

12F - 4R 153 cu. in. diesel
8F - 2R 153 cu. in. diesel
6F - 2R 153 cu. in. diesel

12F - 4R 145 cu. in. gas
8F - 2R 145 cu. in. gas
6F - 2R 153 cu. in. gas

Any impliments or extras?

The tractor is worth around $7500 give or take in fair condition. Depending on the condition of the loader and rotary cutter, maybe add another $750; preferably less. They are pretty subjective as there is no telling about wear and tear on them, at least beyond what is obviously apparent. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Yanmar parts are normally very accurate in their dimensions. Perhaps the part has to be pressed on.
Of course it is possible that a part was made wrong, but two?? Take a Micrometer and measure the I.D. of the part, then measure the O.D. of the race it goes into, if they are close, then it is a press fit. If they are not close, have the gear machined out, it will be faster than re-ordering again. Gary J.

I was supposed to get the "ultra quiet" muffler on mine. I'd be afraid of the regular one. This thing is louder than the 2210. I am talking to Gerry at Bad River about makeing a PTO generator. I expected to hear from the dealer with a answer on the JD version today but no luck yet. Dave

I bet when he was writting tickets he would have people saying thank you! Good call, the R-1's would be what I'd recommend with a good open print, and steep bar angle.

I tell people that if they are willing to sign they can have the first in. It has been about a two to three week wait which isn't to bad when you figure you are getting the number 1 compact tractor in the country. We have not ordered any for stock lately as we are diligently waiting to see the new ones!

Depends on the work you do but I'd say you have a few years yet before the need will hit you to change the clutch.

You do have to keep the lawn maintained with either mower. I like the idea of a rear discharge deck but I like a midmount mower.

I mostly use the "new as posted" method to read messages so the jump-to-last feature works great for me. Thanks so much - on a slow dialup this kind of click-saving saves a lot of time.

The YM186 was a really well built tractor. Yanmar produced them for four years, from 1980 to 1983. Then replaced it with the YM187, which was basically the same but with taller tires and a 5" longer wheelbase. I sold alot of them and they have held up very good, as have all their other models with the Power Shift Transmission. It was sold as a 18 H.P. and had a three cyl. engine. The hydraulics are very powerful and quite fast. I think you will be glad you bought it. Gary J.

I was told or at least think I remember I was told, that they filled these old tanks with water, waited a day or two then torched the ends out. Remember, I am talking 74/75/75 years when I use to run computers out west. They probably can't use the tanks anymore for this purpose.

The 2210, along with a host of small tractors these days, does not offer a position control on the 3 point hitch. This does make it difficult to use a box blade as it does require quite a bit of fiddling.

My solution to that was to add wheels to the box scraper and pull it like a trailer from the three point hitch.

It is much easier to use and functions like a baby road grader.
