One caution about the NiMH is that they self discharge rather rapidly, so you will probably need to keep them on the charger most of the time. There is the specified self discharge rate, but I have had this technology lose most of its charge in one month without being charged.

I have built pulse chargers for these that work well and deliver high current pulses of low duty cycle so that they don't overheat when fully charged.

I suspect that it is also worth asking why all golf carts as far as I know use lead acid deep cycle batteries. The lead acid technology is well known and mature whereas NiMH would probably have never been comercialized if it had not been for increasing costs of building and disposing of NiCad batteries. The hot new standard that competes for most NiMH turf is LiIon technology.

I use two very large 6 VDC deep cycle lead acid batteries hooked in series to power my ham radio station. The ham radio operators in NM have a linked repeater system and all of those remote stations on mountain tops are powered by deep cycle lead acid.

Looks like folks are busy and kinda slow getting an answer to your post; so I will take a swag at it. I am sure someone will respond ASAP. I am not really up to speed on the particulars of your machine but for starters, I would try looking at a parts manual diagram of the the hoe and attachment hardware to compare and ensure that all the pins, bushings, links, bolts, ect. Are there and have not been changed or updated. It sounds to me like something may not have been assembled right or the right parts may not have beens used from the get go. I would make sure I use torque wrench to verify proper tightness of all bolts and fasteners. What if anything has the dealer said about this? Maybe some of the other members can jump in here and have better info. than I do.

If it is a wire you are tracing it means your hour meter is the elctrical type as opposed to the mechanical ones.

The source of electricity varies between manufacturers and I'm not familiar with the sustem they use.

Probably the power comes from the key switch.

I don't think so but you might have to adjust the skid shoes or modify them making them a little wider to hold on the sand.

We use a water trap for squirrels made from a piece of stainless stove pipe (soldered with silver solder) and has always got them, even the wariest of the critters.

It is a piece of 8" pipe about 18" high, with a solid base and no top, there is a 'deck' on one side of the top with a ramp leading up to it. There is a spring-loaded 'diving board' that leads out towards bait which is suspended above the end of the board. When the critter tugs on the bait it trips the release mechanism giving him the last bath of thier life.

As Bill Cosby put it in one of his old comedy routines, "How long can you tread water? Ha Ha Ha"

Best of all it resets itself automatically and holds MANY dead critters at once without any 'fumes' to speak of.

lol, I was just telling my wife the other day when I get a little older she's likely to get a call from the state police in Maryland or someplace because her husband got lost going to get a tractor part ! I sure would like to be the son of a gun that thought of that reverser idea. less money more efficient. In the Kubota line up I do like the Grand L's. This is largely (pun intended) due to my physical size. Besides they look like a tractor should.

Thanks for all the things to try.I did take the bowl off and cleaned it but i never checked the petcock valve.I did check the points and they are set pretty good.but I will have to try everything again.thanks

The other two posters both have valid points about the overall size of the tractor. I bought the large frame size because I do a lot of loader work. I have pallet forks on my tractor about 80% of the time. I use it to move heavy machinery as well as moving large rocks other things.

My post takes as a given that you were considering the 35 or 40, and you may well get by will less. The middle size NH frame carries engines from 25 HP to 33 HP. The larger of these (33 HP) TC33D is worth considering.

The TC30 is also in this range and offers a lot of tractor for the buck. It is designed to attract buyers to NH. Most people find the TC33D to be fancier and worth the extra cost. I also like the better visibility and the synthetic cowling and fenders on the TC33/35/40/45.

Maybe what nobaddays is referring to is a Top-N-Tilt kit. This kit would replace the fixed top link with a hydraulic cylinder and the right adjustable link with another hydraulic cylinder.

I don't know anything about kiotis, but if this what you're looking for maybe your kioti dealer or a kioti parts supplier has a Top-N-Tilt kit available. You will need two available SCV's to run the new rear hydraulic cylinders.

I think I was guilty of taking a random poke at the subject. I'm still with Art and don't really trust self-healing problems. Well, then I've had a few so I have to keep in mind that coincidence never happens except when it does. I keep thinking that maybe there's something else going on here.

In most hook ups when the loader and 3ph are operated at the same time the 3ph simply stops lifting. The loader return flow goes on the 3ph and operation of the loader cuts off the flow. However, with a single return hose type loader valve, loader exhaust oil goes back into the high-pressure line. If the 3ph is in lift mode oil return to the reservoir is blocked and the pump then has to work against the loader as well as the 3ph load. Exhaust oil is the oil displaced from the passive side of the loader cylinders when the loader moves. Oil is on both sides of the piston and the exhaust oil has to have a path to go somewhere when the loader moves.

Anyway, something like that could cause a loader to move very slowly but it wouldn't account for the confused motion described. Don't know, it was just a random thought. No damage would result to a system from operating both the loader and 3ph at the same time as long as the loader valve is power beyond rated.

Real good comment from Chief. In spewing these fuzzy orientation ideas, it's very easy to forget to ask what the person who asked the question needs to hear. So now we've done that thanks to Chief. Hope the fuzzy orientation ideas helped though, and I think it might take a Will Rogers to make them much less fuzzy.

Thanks Art! If you comment was in response to mine, there's always a chance for me to something to learn here. Position rod adjustment isn't something that usually has to be done unless there's a lot of wear on the linkage or it has been disconnected. I've never needed to adjust it.

I always thought that if it's out of adjustment you either get a 3ph that won't raise to full height or one that won't go into neutral before max height. Other than that, operation is normal and the problem would happen with or without a load. Well, maybe not and then I'll learn something, or maybe I simply misunderstood your comment.

Since two 750 owners commented on the same problem and rod adjustment problems are pretty rare in newer tractors, it's unlikely the problem anyway. Maybe it's just normal for 750's. Don't know why though.
