I have a lead on a NO. & backhoe that has brackets for 55 series tractors. <br>You may need to buy a power beyond hydrualic kit to fit it up.<br>This backhoe is in South Jersey. Send me an email if you'd like more info.

I have a 4300 JD coming (hopefully) within the next few weeks.After looking at them I think I would like to have some kind of scuff pads on both fenders and the floor edge. And maybe on both sides where your toes scuff from using the brake and clutch.I don't know what would stick the fiberglass but I'm sure someone will have a solution. Thanks, Ken in West Virginia

What tractor are you looking for? 5210 is 45 hp, 5310 is 55hp, and 5410 is <br>65 hp. Looking for a cab or open station, 2 or 4 wd, 9/3 or 12/12 trans? <br>I believe that they rang from ~19k to 40k depending on the above ???. Hope<br>this helps.

we have a powerreverser and it was a little stiff because the pin inside came loose and that forced the handle to break. but the reverser is really nice for loader work and when you are in a hurry. <br>

The JD 5410 is 65 PTO HP. A variety of attachments are availble from Deere, <br>Ranging from loaders, backhoes, rotary cutters, to field equipment, as well as<br>a host of equipment from allied vendors. Category I/II three point hitch / 540 RPM.<br>This is really a great tractor, make sure that you won'y need 4wd, if you do, <br>factory order one.

No, the mower deck linkage,lift system and pto shaft positions are different<br> for the mower decks on a 970 and a 4300.

Kevin,<br>I have a New Holland sub compact as well and have changed both the motor and hydrolic over to Amsoil. These are fine oils, and I have been using them for over 5 years now. I also have a Ford F250 with an International Navistar diesel engine in it. I have used Amsoil exclusively in that just after the break in period. If anyone tells you that you can't use synthetic in that tractor, due to warranty reasons, please let me know. Amsoil has had problems in the past with manufacturers pushing people to use thier oils and that is just not fair. Any oil meeting SAE requirments is suitable for warranty retention. <br>In short, feel free to use it. It's great. Saves money too. And it will definately save your tractor for the long haul.

Glen,<br>I have a New Holland Sub Compact and my diesel engine has a governor on it. It holds the speed much better than any gas engine ever could. I don't think your friend, the electrical engineer, has had much experience with tractors. Any motor that you overload, beyond its torque capability, will loose speed and cause frequency fluctuations. But if the generator is sized to the PTO output horsepower, the engine should be able to maintain the frequence quite well. An awful lot of farmers use these to power various equipment, depending on the type farm it is. If what your friend says were true, a lot of farmers would go out of business buying electric motors. Electronics are much more sensative to over or under voltage than motors are. We have run some motors 20% over on frequency. It doesn't hurt them, they just run faster. Ask him if he ever heard of a frequency controlled AC motor. We have frequency controllers on many motors and run them down to 15 HZ, which doesn't affect them either. You will never see that much difference in a PTO unit, so I wouldn't worry about it. The Coleman units will probably give you more difference than the PTO units. By the way, I am a Electrical Engineer too.<br>

David, I have a B7200, manual covers both 6200 and 7200, anything in particular you are wanting to know?<br>2WD might be okay for just mowing, but I'd have to agree that 4WD is very important for other work.
