Yep, I'd bet you could find a CAT pump that would fit the Robin engine. I'm not sure of the reliability of Robin engines, but they look pretty decent on paper. I've never had one so don't know for sure. Generally I try to buy the best I can get, but that attitude puts extra strain on the bank account :(

I have looked on all of the Landini web sites and I can't find the 5860 on any of them. I have looked at one at a local dealership in Laurel Ms. and I sure like the looks of
them. I also like the fact that they have a Perkins engine.
I have compared them to the popular brands and it appears
that I may be getting more bang for My buck. My main concern
is parts and service. There are only two Dealerships in Ms.

The tractor won't move problem was solved. They had to replace the MSWD sensor. Runs like a Deere now! web

I have been in contact with Corriher on the EXACT tractor you bought. Furthermore I am looking to get it delivered to Missouri. I'd really appreciate it if you could answer a few easy questions:

- Price of TC40D with SS and 17LA?
- Price (per mile) for drop shipping?
- What type of discount % was on the aux implements?
- Assuming they didn't collect sales tax in NC - correct?

Everything Kubota and the dealer advised you is meaningless unless it is in writing and even then it will be up to you to get representation in the event you have any future problems. This is just my opinion.(now I'm covered) Good Luck!

I just purchased a new TC33D 3 weeks ago, and there is a rubber cover over the fuse block. I have a different problem after 18H of operation the 10A fuse blows in 5-20min consistantly. The dealer told me to put in a 10A breaker. I did that and the 30A main fuse blew. I replaced it and the tractor will not start at all, just got towed back to the dealer. I am very dissappointed to purchase such a product and have such poor reliability.

Slope issues can surprise even the pros. My neighbor operates a 310E JD backhoe for a living. Not too long ago he was screwing around behind his property, dumping stuff I think. Both our properties back up to a bluff/river, with about 30deg slope down to the river.

He got the JD stuck trying to do something horizontally on the slope, VERY near to a rollover condition. It would have rolled down about 300ft to the river. Two BIG tractors were needed to pull his 8ton rig out of danger. He hasn't tried that again. Wish I'd had my camera handy.

Kwschumm, opt for the welder, you can fab up all kinds of tractor goodies for a lot cheaper than you can buy them. Ive made forks for front and rear of my tractor for next to nuthin. Just tell the wife about all the money you'll save on the imps you wont for the tractor.

I agree with all here , go as big as you wallet will let you . with that much land you never know what you might want to do, and you don't want to have to small of unit when you start brain storming.with 2o acers to mow I'd probly be looking at something with aleast 40 hp,larger if you can swing it.

I just read a reply on this board that stated the horsepower rating of an engine is less relevant than it's displacement. In essence, the comment suggested less horsepower from a large cubic inch displacement engine is better than more horsepower from a smaller CID engine. I disagree, but maybe there is some truth here. I understand "torque" as the act of doing work, frequently expressed in ft.-lbs. ( or newton-meters for Metric fans). I understand the rate of doing work per unit time, ft.-lbs. per second, is "horsepower". So where does engine displacement come into play?

You have to realize that even if it's covered under your homeowners insurance it is unlikely to be covered for all risks. This means that if a tree falls on it due to high winds it will likely be covered (acts of God) but if you are falling trees and a tree lands on the tractor it won't be covered. Homeowners insurance is also not like auto insurance collision coverage - if you smack it into a tree or roll it your homeowners insurance is unlikely to cover it.

I have an 8 in bucket for my 7500 woods and if the dirt is at all damp the bucket will plug up and not come out without a pick.

They are useful, but keep in mind they reduce the amount you can lift with your FEL by 1/2 to 2/3's because they add a lot of leverage out front. And you will need some serious ballast to use them safely.

In retrospect, I wish I had bought there. I foolishly trusted the local dealer and by the time the truth finally emerged, Brock/Moen was all out of BX22's.

I ended up at Gold Country Kubota. The prices were not as good as Moen, but they were truthful and they knew what they were doing, unlike the local guy.

The 1750 will be better for snow, the bx has a better mowing deck, but the 1750's larger tires (if turf tires) offer a softer footprint. If you intend to keep the mower on the machine, check to see that there is enough ground clearence on the 1750 when the mower is retracted. for your other uses the 1750 will give you more power to the ground but the bx will be more manuverable due to its smaller size.

The only critters I have seen that can survive the E-ticket ride though the vacuum hose and the sudden stop at the other end are lizards. They even survive the negative pressure in the cannister when the hose is plugged.

You would think their little eyeballs would bulge out or something. Instead they wait patiently, sometimes for weeks, to be let out.

The risk of a crown or canopy fire is certainly dependent on where you live and drought conditions. I live in the Southwest US and I can guarantee that we will have a canopy fire somewhere in my state this year. We are in a drought and the conifer trees have plenty of resin and not much resistance to fire.

We get quite a few fires caused by lightning, but most are still man made from "controlled burns", smoking, arson, and negligence.
