This is what I have been looking for too, for quite some time...The Treetoad unit that is. Most hydraulic pressure relief systems are set for a window betwen 1800psi - 2200psi. After that, the operating pressures get rather risky, especially if one decides to fiddle with the relief valve settings of the control valves. But 3000psi? That is a lot of pressure.
Even the treetoad is pricey for my desires, but more or less what I have been looking for.

I think you have the straight of it.

I know that is the way my BX operates.

I don't have a mower but my understanding is that you can pin them in the raised position if you want to use the 3 pt. without activating the mower raise/lower functions.

The GF1800 on ebay is not a 4 wheel drive. I would estimate the unit to be worth about $5000.00. I had the opportunity to buy a new GF1800 2WD from a dealer last year for $8000.00.

2 wheel drive units are worth much less than the 4WD machines. Also, front mounted mowers have taken a beaten in price since the ZTR's have come out. Most people like the ZTR units much better. I like the ZTR's much better than the front mounted mowers.

Those costco machines are probably Karchers. My neighbor bought one of those and I borrowed it a couple of weeks ago. Although it was a decent machine there were a few things I didn't care for. For one, the hose was kind of a hard inflexible plastic like material that didn't like to roll up. Also, the quick disconnects were not very good - one of them got stuck on me. The engine is a Honda GC which is a residential grade engine, not the better GX engine. I prefer a pressure washer that has an adjustable pressure feature - the Karcher was around 2500 psi which wasn't enough for our concrete driveway pad and too much for our wood deck. The pump also isn't built as well as the better triplex pumps with ceramic plungers. All of those issues aside I have to say the Karcher did operate just fine and is a good value.

It is the same price as Super UDT but I think it is a little cheaper than Amsoil.

I bought 5 gallons late last year for $56.00

The best place to find it is at a commercial oil distributor that handles Chevron products. Just check your yellow pages under lubricants. It might take 3 or 4 days to get it on the next stock order if they don't have it on the shelf.

It has been running in little toot, whoops, I mean the BX22, for six trouble free months.

It certainly seems that the crux of what you are saying is if they dont have the right product they will sell you what ever and tell you it works. why Put Diesel oil in an tranny when they make synthetic gear oil ? How does this relate at all to The question of can I use synthetic tranny oil in my JD ? Simply put, it Doesn't. Like you said they wont put it in writeing so it is little more than slam dunk lip service.

If you are looking that large I might look at the MF-231 or MF-451. They have dependable perkins diesels and are fairly well built. The last I looked the MF-231 2 wheel drive was around 10K.

Figure about $12,000 - $13,000 depending on condition. $14,000 if in magnificent shape. Good luck on the sale. Going by the info. you gave, I surmized you have a B21TL 4WD. Looks like they were made only one year.

That's hard to belive, I would think a 50 horse deere would pull a 5 footer like it wasn't even back there., beings my 790 pulls one very easly in 2 wheel drive.I'm sure that 50 horse could handle much more were the 7800 would be maxed.

Be mindfull that the tranny dipstick/hydraulic stick does not read excessive fluid. The whole intent behind hydraulic fluid use, besides its ability to withstand alot of heat, is to be able to expand, which allows for a faster reaction time for the action of the contol valves.
If your chamber/reservoir is over full, your gonna run the risk of blowing a seal somewhere to relieve the system of expansion pressure.
Be warned...if a seal doesn't let go, something else might, possibly a hose! Check that level on the level.

Try tilling up chicken liiter with feathers in it. Talk about stopping up the outside grill screens. I've done found out to keep a brush handy to sweep them off the front and side grills. Do this with the engine off or the fan just keeps sucking them up against the screens.
