Supersteer is great but takes som getting used to.

Has anyone had experience with the Walmart full synthetic oil? I believe it is called Super Tech, can't recall for sure. They have all grades available and I am sure they don't make it themselves so it must be from one of the major companies. I just purchased six quarts to try in the wife's jeep, have been running Quaker State which was less than a buck a quart, the synthetic Wally oil is 2.97. I thought this might stretch the oil change interval out a bit since she is running 500 miles a week now. Was changing around 3k and figured I would go between 4-5k with the synthetic and a good filter.

I have not seen it on mine, but I have a 2 wheel drive 3500. I wonder if some of the wander is the straight axel of the 4x4, bump steer. The steering arm on the 4x may be longer to provide more ground clearance and therefore greater twist to the frame. With my truck the other factor would be weight of the frame, due to the 3500.

The biggest problem I had with my box when new was that it was a little stiff. It had a dead point in the middle and it was difficult to swing smoothly right to left or left to right. This smoothed out with wear.

I would suggest checking the blades. My Kubota came from the factory with a rounded cutting edge, but even at that did not leave stems sticking up, just tore the grass. Are you running the mower at the proper RPM? Did you install the blades? I had a neighbor years ago that received his new rider from a big box store with the blades attached upside down. Just a thought.

I had a F150 with the small Triton 8 and the trailer towing package. I towed my 750 JD with loader and cutter 600 miles or more (3500 lb. I also towed a car on the a trailer 1500 miles from New England to KY. I did not feel it was over worked or had any problems.
I am not sure you will have the space on a 16 ft with the larger tractor though. I could just get mine on.
As with most Fords you need to change auto transmission oil like clock work, especially if you are over working it.

If the mower deck is a 3pt most require that you take the wheels off and adjust the shims.

I am looking at buying this machine with hoe, and tiller. can this little 16hp machine really cut it or is it too gutless to use for lite duty around the yard. is the hoe hard to mount and dismount?

Thanks for your thoughts. I got similar pricing for both brands so I think I will go with the Deere because of resale and parts, plus the JD dealer is 35 miles closer.

Hello.

There should be a dipstick right beside the parking brake lever, and a fill plug(big hex nut) right beside the safety start switch(rubber cap beside the main shift lever).

Think I found it at WIX. The number I came up with is 51356. NAPA drops the 5 in front so their number is 1356. BTW: Napa Gold filters are Wix, not sure who makes the silver, but that are a different brand. Possibly rebadged Fram or Champion.

I will add the 12LA is their new series of loader. The new 14LA will have much more capacity than the 7308, but NH revised the tractor to take the weight. The 7308 is spec'd light for the TC33 boomer. It actually had heavier specs on the 1720 Ford. The specs take into account the limits of the tractor they are installed on.

You really don't even need an L series. A BX2200 will do fine. It is a better grass cutter that about any other Kubota and can lift about 500 lbs. of dirt at a wack. How much more you got to do than that?? There are really no tractors like adjustable wrenches. The better it is for one job the worse it is for another. My Century is right up there with the Kubota 4630. I have 48HP and it weighs 5000 lbs. It's way overkill for my three acres of grass to cut. I keep my Honda tractor for that and use the Century for the heavy stuff.

You will not always be careful enough not to over load the bucket. I have 7360 with 66" bucket and a 7.5' hoe on back with fluid in the rear tires and still over load the loader. Cub says 475 loader for good reasons, weight transfer to the loader and subframe have already been tested and this is their call. Don't break your tractor and void your warranty. The max cu.ft. of 48" bucket is 6. cu. ft., 60" bucket 10.1 cu. ft. make 2 trips and enjoy your tractor.

I got my quote in the Maryland area. The JD dealer checked the computer, but he said there are no discounts/rebates availble on the JD2210.

I guess I will go with the BX2200.
