Frankly that's way too high. The price should be around $15K for that package. That's not a lot less than I ended up paying for my 3045.

The rumor is a litle more updated. The new loader will not fit the current TC33. NH is revising the TC33 to a new model and adding the 14LA or 15LA loader along with some other features. Look for it about the first of the year along with other revisions in the lineup.

With your size property, I would not look at anything smaller than the TC40D. The TC33 would be great if you also owned a utility tractor, but the 33 would be overwhelmed on your land. I have a tractor similar to a TC40 for my 20 acres and would have nothing less.

Art is the costant full load the most difficult application for an oil? I never considered a marine application to be any more difficult than a automotive. Diesel electric application such as train engines are no particularly hard on oil. The most difficult technology diesel test are normally run on city busses. The most demanding application I can think of is the high lines for logging. The diesel speed typically cycles up and down one a minute.
I believe that the oils would advertise NY city taxi tests as being the most difficult.
All this makes sense if you look at the dynamics of oil. Under load the when spinning up and down the engine produces a lot more carbon, which dirties the oil a lot quicker. Even my truck has two different schedules based on highway and in town miles.
If you believe that the OEM labelled oils are any different than the standard heavy duty diesel oils good for you. I just would like to know why my 50K$ diesel marine engine does not require a OEM oil. It certainly required the Cat rep. there when it was first fired to hold my waranty.

HAVE YOU TRIED THE "WIX" WEB SITE. I FOUND WIX NUMBERS FOR MY JD790 AND ORDERED LOCALLY IE NAPA RENUMBERS THE WIX'S FOR THEIR NAPA SILVER AND GOLD LINE FILTERS.

Boatman, thanks for the detailed information. Information is good and more information is better. I�ll bet there are drawings of the locations of the ports you mentioned. If you are able, scanning those pages and sending them to mrnetwurm(at sign)netscape.net would be great!!! I know this is a lot to ask, but if you have time and a scanner that would help me to do this correctly.
My tractor does not have rear remotes or any other valves installed. Your post said to check the remote control valve in the raising position. Hmmm, I�m confused. Do I disconnect the FEL lift hose and replace with a gauge and then apply pressure to the gauge only. Or, is the gauge to be applied �in-line� and observed while the loader is connected to the circuit and the lift arms are rising?

Thanks for the help. Our local John Deere shop was struck by a tornado last week so I had to go to several different places to get the alternator checked out which tested good. All indications are the voltage regulator. Is there a way to check that out, a new one cost over $94.00.

Subsequent to my intial comment I did a little reading over a few of the manuals I have for various implements. In doing so I came across an interesting comment in the "Assembly" chapter of one of them, one for a very big, old nasty rotary mower, it states that "... the gearbox should be filled with 3 pounds of quality grease and should NEVER be filled with hypoid gear oil." It goes on to state, in the "Troubleshooting" section that "... if a loud whining or moaning noise develops in the gearbox it should be verified that the gearbox contains the proper amount of quality grease." The manual for my PHD states much the same thing.

Apparently some gearboxes which are exposed to heavy, constant loads are supposed to run grease instead of oil, presumably because of the heat generated in operation.

I guess the old adage holds true, "When all else fails, read the instructions."

I'm also very pleased with the 2210, seems like just the perfect size for around the house. My dealer had both the BX and 2210 when I put em both side by side and played with both the 2210 just seemed like a bit more tractor. The price was 12400 with FEL and 62 MMM which was within 50 bucks of the BX. So far,, no regets on the Deere, only got about 9 hours on it.

That is why I use cement blocks. They are cheap, relatively heavy and go on and off in a flash.

Unlike many folks who mow and cut brush, almost all of what I do with my tractors is move dirt.

And like most things there are trade-offs. With my newest new tire set-up on the JD4100, if I keep 500 pounds on the 3 point, I can operate in 2wd 95 percent of the time, saving wear and tear on the drive train (I think?).

That's a decent price. I bought (today) a TC40D with the loader for 20,700 and the dealer would not budge another dollar. There could be a difference in the one you are pricing and the one I bought - tires, super-steering, blah blah blah. Jim

The subframe on my 758C mounts to the same location as the stock drawbar. I kept the drawbar and mount in case I ever get rid of the backhoe.

All 3PH arms and links stay in place. I use an aftermarket drawbar between the 3PH arms when the hoe is off the tractor. These accessories cost $30 - $50.

Just a few notes from some New Holland publications. In the NH Boomer sales brochure it lists TC 29D gross HP=29.0 pto HP (hydro)=23.6. TC 33D gross HP=33.0 PTO HP(hydro)=26.9. Engine displacement for the TC29D=81.2, for the TC33D=91.3. In the NH TC30 sales brochure:gross HP =30 PTO HP(hydro)=24, engine displacement=91.3. However, in the New Holland TC30 Service Repair Manual#87021726 under engine specifications: Gross HP=33.0, PTO HP(hydro)=26.9, PTO HP(gear)=29.1,engine displacement=91.3. Engine model #N843.
I believe that the TC33D and the TC30 use the same engine. I have had my TC30 w/7308/R4's for about six weeks now and have put 30 hours on it and absolutely love it. It's fantastic. Winterbrook, I see that you are not too far away from my location, so I will send you an e-mail and if you would like you can come over and try out my TC30 for a day - you will be impressed with it's flawless performance,quiet engine and smooth vibration free ride.

i just bought a re-man'd shibaura. It has a S1500 sticker... but I don't think that's what it is... It has 4 cyl engine, 1484cc, 12 speed trans... and it's a good size tractor! Is there anyway to find out what it really is? Can I have the Sn# checked? What about a manual?

If you are not going to use the water for drinking and it is only a few feet deep, wouldn't a septic tank pumping truck be able to clear away the deposited sediment?

Plots, if you need more than 115# per tire you could flip those drums over, bolt them back on and make weights to go inside the drums. Using a brake drum as a mold you could probably make a couple of concrete 'fillers' in an afternoon and add another couple hundred pounds to the existing setup.<br>

My 2 cents worth . . .

I visited both dealers, and the JD 2210 cost $2,000 more. There was none in the lot for me to see, and all I got was a little pocket size fold-out product card, not a brochure.

I got to see the BX2200, demonstrated to me how the loader and mower comes off easily. I am going with the BX2200.
