Ive read lots of post that state IF IT FEELS UNSAFE IT MOST LIKELY IS. you should go up and down hills enstead across when ever possible.

You'll probably all laugh at this but I've never driven a tractor before. I recently purchased some property but am somewhat concerned about cutting on a few of the steeper hills. I'm considering purchasing a NH 4WD CT33D but wonder about the overall width (JD is wider). How stable (or tippy) is the 4wd CT33D when going across a hill? How do you tell the limitations of a tractor without having it tip over on you?

Help me please,
I am trying to find for purchase or free, an owners/operators manual for a Yanmar F175D 4x4 compact tractor (printed in english preferrable). I have had no luck so far on the internet. I don't even know really how I found this forum but I thought I would give it a try. Please reply to my e-mail address since I don't know if I can find my way back here or not. As loghouse stated , make sure your shear pin is the correct grade.!!! I have had my cutter stall earlier this year and got heavy clutch stink.after taking a good look at shear pin found it was a grade 5 instead of a grade 2.gear box on cutter was protected but hard on tractor clutch. it was the pin that came with my kk cutter, oops someone made a mistake. MAKE SURE TO CHECK BEFORE USING! having the wrong pin installed could result in big damage, lucky for me mine faired ok that time. slip clutch might be a good safety device.

I purchased a used L2900 GST 6 months ago. Now that it's getting warmer and the days longer I have more time to familiarize myself with the tractor. I have noticed that when in 4th gear there is a very faint noise when the shuttle lever is in neutral, it's not quite a rattle but very close. I don't hear it when it's in forward or reverse, only in neutral. Is this normal? Or should I be worried?

I called the Kubota dealer to get a price and It is $275 installed. I thought that sounded reasonable.

My B7500 came with a owner/operators manual that is pretty good. It also came with a owner/operator manual for the FEL. I made a copy of both manuals and filed one copy.

The price I was quoted was with the $750 "dealer incentive" for the 4115. It might pay to check if the quote you recieved included it.

Many people will drive farther to get a better price. You could call all the dealers in your area until you get a better price. One guy in TX called my dealer in here in SC to get the quote for the price that I got. He then called his local dealer and they matched it. I'm guessing he didn't mention that the quote was 1000 miles away! : )

A very good, long time friend is (was) on the Lincoln for two tours. He now has signed on agin, however for land duty,( the incentive plan was fantastic). When ever we talk, he always points out when there have been celebs or high ranking officials on board for a visit, and how it boosts the TOTAL morale. Yes it costs the country alot of bucks for the visit from "W", however, after being gone for so long, with so many missions...that is what they ALL need !

Actually, I have been using a 4 inch flange right along. It seems to hold up very well, even long term. One thing that Bill put on his that I neglected to mention, though I have them on mine, is the caps on the pipe nipples. This way, you won't scratch your leg or anything else should you come too close.

fluid filling the tires with an anti-freeze solution (NOT NaCl) would be alot easier and cheaper. This is unless you have some unusual reason why you need weights and no fluid.

For your uses, go glideshift. It's not quite what the hydro is for the loader work but does give you a hydraulic shuttle vs gear. IE: less clutch replacement!

I wouldn't be running it to much yet. During the winter mice could have built a nest in the cooling fan, you could have an electrical problem such as the sparek being retarded. What model do you have so we might know what engine you have. They use several and they all have different quirks!

When I arrived at the dealership to get the rundown on the new tc33d the service tech couln't start the engine. It just cranked with no fire up. After looking around the tech discovered that the switch had been pulled through the seat bottom. (probably do to a over tight wiring loom)He had just shown me the rotation feature of the deluxe seat and this probably broke the switch. I noticed that one of the rear lights also didn't work. After popping off the lens I found the bulb rolling around the bottom of the housing....probably an off day at the New Holland plant, but at the big bucks we pay for such features an inspector should have noticed this.

I suggest go ride them both! Then pick the one that feels best in the seat. Although I agree they are both too much for 5 acres. I chose the 3130 'cause that is where I got the best feel and the best deal. BTW, you might use the internet to look at prices - gave an edge when negotiating.
