Pete,<br>I have a B7300 and haven't found a real easy way around that one. The front outrigger wheels on my 54

I have found that using the loader works the best. Since I never use the loader with the deck on I just schedule my loader use/deck dismount and vise versa at the same time.
I previously read some threads about driving over the deck(with the front wheels), making sure to block it with some wood. I tried that once and it worked OK. The only thing that went awry, with that trick, is that I have set my mower height to 3" cut. And with that height, the bottom of the 4wd axle scraped the gearbox on the deck.
I feel this is the price paid for having a very compact and manuverable tractor. I'm willing to suffer a little. "> Mounting a Kubota Midmower

I changed my oil and filters ( engine and hydraulic) at 25 AND 50 hours just because the machine is new, so there will be certain irregularities and rough spots on the moving parts which wear off fast, and float around in your oil. I change my car oil at mile 1000 when new for the same reason- money well spent in the long run.<br>Paul

I've heard to stay away from 1000-1500 buck Sears rigs because they won't hold up for 10 years of even mowing alone.
Top price I'd *like* (hah!) to spend is about $3k. I do want a unit that will hold up and not be parts queen. Looked at JD and their $3000 dollar rig was pretty decent, 48" deck, seemed like a nice rig. Been reading about Kubotas here on this list, as well as ingersolls. Any thoughts on these or Toros, Hondas, etc? Basically I'm looking for solid options for this price range, and of course cheaper is better if the quality is there, but I know how that goes.
The woman says I better get a mower by this weekend or my a** is grass, so I've been researching at lunch and visiting dealers. Any help so I don't buy a pig in a poke and can preserve the domestic tranquility is greatly appreciated!

Where are you getting the 'good prices' on MF? The dealers that I have priced in the Northren VA area seem to have as high or higher prices than the Boomer or the Kubota. This is by about $1000. I'm looking at the Boomer TC18 or MF 1210. So I've pretty much given up on the Massey.

My Tractor Supply dealer here found 4 in stock across the country. He also told me that the manufacturer had stopped making them. That makes me worry about repair parts down the road, so I have opted not to purchase that unit.<br>Thanks, though, if I reconsider the Tractor Supply unit, it will be helpful.

My advice is....Keep the TO-30! They dont make em like that anymore. Is it in good shape? If so, I think its worth more than 2500. I have a 48 model TE 20 and Im looking for a new compact, but there is no way Im getting rid of the Ferguson. If money is an issue, I can understand selling it. But if not, keep it around. Im going to let my dad keep the Ferguson once I buy a new tractor, so at least it will stay in the family. But thats just my opinion..<br> Mike

No problem..you are right and I agree that this dealer was super in getting me my new tractor in time for the holiday weekend. I put about sixteen hours on it so far...still can't wipe the smile off my face. Pulled some stumps, dug a bunch of holes, scraped a ton of topsoil...place looks like it spent a day under B-52's....

Yep, those are the pins I'm talking about. The ones that are used cantilever style. I kept having them loosen on me, even if I put them on with an impact wrench. Loc-Tite or a jam nut fixes it, though.

I would fix any oil leak on any engine, nothing worse than doing your work and running out of oil, and blowing your engine. Also are you sure it's not a bleed off tube from your injector? Just a thought.....<br><br><applet code=
