I don't know about the kubota's but I like my 4100. It is a lot more tractor than I<br>expected. Absolutely no problems! I think most tractors are pretty similar, so I would <br>go with whatever dealer you feel more comfortable with. Look for a good reputation<br>of service after the sale!

My Ford 1300 has a locked rear end. It was locking under power until something snapped and it wouldn't move at all, but I assumed I could tow it. I can't. Any idea what could be wrong, and maybe how to at least get it rolling without having to completely tear it apart? As it is I can't even get it onto a trailer to take it to the shop.

I own a JD 750 that I bought new in '83. It has been one of the best investments I've ever owned. In the 16 years that I've owned it the only trouble I've encountered is the cam pivot shaft for the brakes. It has a tendency to rust which causes it to not allow the brakes to release properly. This is easily overcome though with a little preventive maintenance from time to time. I own the all the implements you listed with the exception of the front end loader. I've been pleased with the performance of the 750 using any of the attachments. If you plan on using the loader though, you will definitely want power assisted steering. You'll be hard pressed to go wrong following the intructions in the manual. They say not to run it at full speed for the first 50 hours, or at least that's what they say on the L series. Full speed means wide open, all she'll do. You can generally run them at 'rated' speed, which is the speed the listed hp rating is given for in the manual. Note that this speed is generally a few hundred or so rpm lower than wide open, and often a few hundred rpm higher than the '540 PTO rpm' speed. So running it at '540 PTO rpm' speed is quite safe. The most important thing is letting it warm up 5 minutes or so (in the summer, longer in winter) before setting to work. Where the HST range selector is isn't important. Any time the clutch is out, the HST pump is running, so it's circulating the oil and warming up all the parts. Hope this helps.

The intake air heater is only used when the outside temp is below 40F. Then, just push in on the starter key for 10 to 15 seconds for temps between 40 and 0 F. Below zero, move to a warmer climate!

IF you have 4WD and IF you go the larger tire route, make sure you take lead/lag into consideration. You/your dealer may have already considered this - if not, check before you go to far. Good luck :-)

This may be blasphemy on this board but you might be $ and time ahead to rent a tractor to get the place cleaned up and landscaped. Then get a powerful zero turn mower to cut grass (much more efficient mower than any tractor if you have many trees to mow around but it is a very specialized machine. No implements for dirt work or gravel or tilling.)

Got a JD 4300 with 430 loader. Need to mount a Woods 750 backhoe. Was told no subfame kit is available but one for the 7500 could be modified. Has anyone done this yet? Could use some tips.Thanks, Tony

Got done bush hogging a pasture yesterday. Brought the machine home and, as is my habit, cleaned it off, removing all the grass clippings and clearing the radiator inlet, hosed the whole works off. I had the seat tilted up when I was doing that and noticed BOTH seat brackets were cracked and deformed. I don't know how much longer the seat would have stayed on. Gave me the shivers just thinking about that seat coming off while I was bush hogging. Broke out the welder and fixed the cracks and reinforced the brackets. TILT THAT SEAT UP AND CHECK YOUR BRACKETS AND MOUNT BOLTS!!!! Another reason to clean your equipment before you put it up. You stand a better chance of finding broken stuff the more you look for it.

I have been shopping for B2150 or a B2710. I live in SO CAL. Best pricing so far has been from NO Cal. I would rather pay the same dollars to a trucker for shipping than to add any more to the tax rip off in CA. Where are you getting prices back east? <br>I have talked to a dealer about having a tractor shiped to Oregon, Nevada or Arizona and I'll take delivery there...without the sales tax. They have done so in the past. The alternative is to have it shipped to Cal from one of these neighboring states. All carriers have to be ICC licensed, no big deal.<br>Perhaps we can mutually benefit from a joint effort...better purchase price...shared shipping costs.<br>thanks...tvw

Tiller's have very low HP requirements. I have an AgriFab 60

So, don't worry about a tiller requiring a lot of HP.
