I've got a JD 650 with a Bush Hog 1840 QT front loader. They still list a model<br>1846 with specs that look the same as mine (www.opico.com, under Bush Hog). This Long 360 Diesel has air in the fuel system and the manual is very poor in detailing how to bleed it out. The first bleed point is the filter. Crack the bolt on top and operate the hand pump until no bubbles come out. Good. The next point to bleed is not clear in the manual. It looks like maybe the fuel pump? If I skip that and go on and bleed the injectors it will run a while then quit.<br>Any hints are appreciated..<br>Stanley

I have been reading all these discussions on turf vs ag vs R4's and decided to<br>give my personal experience. I have mowed my yard with a Deutz Allis 5220 2WD with <br>turf tires when I probably should have waited a few more hours and the front <br>tires pushed up some grass. When I cut my grass when the ground is nice and dry <br>I can run my tractor Hinomoto E2304 (Identical to the D-A 5220 except 4WD) and<br>it leaves no marks at all. I had a John Deere 855 with R-4s, no marks. My 2304 <br>has a front end loader and I run it across the yard in 4WD with a full loader bucket <br>and it doesn't leave any marks. When I get a new tractor I plan on going with <br>R-4's just from the standpoint of durability because I do some landscaping and<br>R4's are tougher. I really think you give up alot of ability when you go with <br>turf tires. I had a Bolens 19hp, about the size of the JD 4100 and that tractor<br>just wouldn't cut it when I really needed it. Things like pulling a landscape box<br>or pulling a cut tree out of the woods. If your lawn is really delicate, swaping <br>the front tires out to prevent damage is a good idea, but I think you will really <br>get tired of doing it if you are like me and have to mow once a week and use your<br>tractor for other things between cuttings. <br>Brent<br>damage to your yard

I just got a quote on 3010, HST, front loader, AG tires, folding ROP for $17,500 (tax not included, but it does include delivery and setup and whatever BS charges they put on there). this was in Western PA. Hope that helps.<br>

the 2500 uses the exact same parts as a older jd 850. I just rebuilt mine<br>using all new jd parts for 600. mine performs like a new tractor I pull a <br>6 foot finish mower and a 5 foot tiller with no problems

<br>I own a Kioti 2552 4 wheel drive. It now has 200hrs and has been worked to haul logs, It's set up with forks. So far I;ve only had minor problems due mostly to abuse on my part. It's worked far harder than my ford 2120 and held up as good or better.

I had a similar situation. I ended up hiring a dozer to do the bigger jobs quicker and easier and not worry about break downs. Dozer parts are very expensive. The only thing more expensive are older dozer parts. I also have two 1950's era Oliver Super 55 two wheel drive tractors. Although I have been able to do some work with these, I had to put alot of labor into them, and again parts are very expensive. At that time, I had more time than money. Now I'm looking into a 25-30 hp compact 4wd. I will be able to get into more places and do more work, also I feel it will be safer in those akward situations. Another plus is that on some models (Kubota L2500) the warranty in 3 years parts and labor. Nothing to work on for three years, sounds good.

Ordered my JD4300 HST end of March and I'm still waiting. Dealer is now telling me early June. He does have my 430 loader and 4 in One bucket, so I guess I should be happy for that.

Buy the Bota now! Finance, long term loan, beg, and borrow. The 2710 should be able to handle everything the 8N can plus the loader work.... and with two of you able to use it, more help for the work. I had to junk and old Massey, let the field and yard grow waist high, and then let my wife mow the front acre with a push mower before she said

Check out the New Holland 1720 & 1920 they are available with live PTO.I have<br>the 1720,Fwd,loader, live PTO, loaded Ag's, and rear hyd.spool.It's seems to be<br>a much more substantial machine for the money than the boomer.Im from Canada<br>so as far as price goes and taxes and taxes and taxes go there is no sense even<br>mentioning a number. We are blessed , as others, with large snow falls so the <br>live PTO is essential for my 5 foot snoblower.Other chores include brush hogging<br>which again is made much easier with live PTO. You will most likly deal in your <br>automobiles a couple of times before you do a compact so think ahead and buy a <br>little more tractor now instead of regretting it later.

Pete- I own a B1700 with a 5 foot Woods back blade. The tractor handles it just fine, and in fact could most likely take a 6 footer. It moves snow great, but don't expect it to level dirt like a construction vehicle- what I find is that the tractor is so light that bumps in hard dirt lift the blade rather than the blade leveling it off in one pass.<br>Good luck<br>Paul
