Welcome. Mine stick out about two feet and are spring steel. I'd be tempted to<br>use automotive leaf springs from a light car with lots of springs....like an <br>old military jeep or a model A Ford....Or stop by the spring shop and ask for<br>some scrap like this. They can punch bolt holes and chop the ends to a point<br>as well. Surely 1/2

Get the heaters. They are a hundred dollar option on a 20K machine. In real cold<br>weather you will start easily when diesels without them will not start at all.<br>I plug mine in for 30 min. before starting when the temp. is below freezing.<br>Really reduces wear on the parts.

I can't imagine downforce would do you any good in hard clay or rock. You probably will end up spending half your time replacing shear-pins and unsticking your auger. For the size of your auger you will probably use on a 2710 I would stay away from any down-pressure attachments and go VERY slow and keep new cutters on. I rented a bobcat once to dig 24

Get as much rear blade as you can afford. It should tilt, angle, and offset all<br>with pull-pin adjustment. A 30 to 40 HP tractor is bigger than most compacts, so<br>you can use a heavy blade. All blades will angle, most will tilt, and a few will also offset. They must
do all of these things without tools. If you can get end plates and shoes for
the blade you should do so.

Sounds to me like you need to find a Kubota 2350 used. Shouldn't be too hard;<br>they were sold widely. <br> Here are some of the things I've heard people say:<br> All of the brands work very well. I've owned a Cub 7260 for about 8 months. It now has 80 flawless hours on it.<br>I looked at all of the different 'colors' out there, went with the Cub because<br>it spec'ed better than most of similar size, the price was right, and the dealer<br>had an excellent rep (very important). I have a JD material collection system - the one that raises up and dumps. It might be a bit of overkill but it works very well, especially for picking up leaves. It always raises fine and makes the swing around the top to dump. sometimes, however, on the way down it swings back very slowly and lowers very slowly with a definite twist indicating that both sides are not coming down evenly. Once down, the latches do not pull down tight. I have ensured that the guide bars are clean and smooth although they aren't even in the picture yet when the swing back is taking place. What can cause this - it doesn't happen all of the time but often enough to be a pain. My guess is that one of the cylinders is not working properly but I am new at debugging hydraulic problems - what would cause it or am I off base? I don't want to go through the expense of replacing the cylinder only to find the condition doesn't change.<br>Any ideas out there?<br>thanks

Sounds like a stuck thermostat. Try replacing - if still a problem, flush the system and make sure there is no blockage.

Loader breakout is measured at the cutting edge with the bucket near ground level. Lift capacity is what the loader will lift to full height. ASAE specifies how to measure both values and would expect JD follows industry standards.

If you want to get roots and all, back up to the tree with a landscape box <br>lowered all the way to the ground. Ease the back edge of the LS box into the tree<br>and at the same time raise the box up. You will easily pop 2-3

If any of you folks like in farming areas, you can pick up a harrow or drag section for about $5 these days. They are about 4 feet wide, have about 5 bars on them with spikes on them and a lever in back to adjust the angle of the spikes. Put a chain on the front to hook to the tractor. Save a few bucks.<br>Farmers used to use the harrows in gangs of 4 or 6 to level fields, but newer implements have mostly replaced them, so you can pick them up from groves for scrap metal price.<br>--->Paul<br>

On the big farm tractors it is very very bad to mix tires. The fronts should have a couple % more bite than the rear tires, or you will take out a driveline component in a big big hurry.<br>I imagine the lighter compacts are a bit more forgiving, but for hard use like a bucket you are stressing the front axle enough, I certainly would not ever mix & match tires. You are adding a great deal of extra stress. The gearing of all this requires more perfection than you seem to realize.<br>Ag tires are good for mud, turf tires are good for saving sod, R4's are a good compromise when you need to do both.<br>--->Paul<br>

I put a Landspride post hole digger with a 12

mount it on another tc18 to prove to the both of us that everything would clear
not only the ground, but the tractor. All has worked well. The tc18 is very
similar to the b7300 in the dimensions from ground to link points.

I have a 23hp Yanmar excavator and use it to lift and skid logs. It has a hook on the bucket for lifting and works fine. I have used tongs, a cat choker and grabbed logs between the bucket and arm. I have seen bucket extension fingers/teeth one can add to make it easier and have also read in this forum of fixed
