Thank you for getting back to me, I did get a manual online it is very in efficient, but I was curious because I was able to buy the worm gear from the online supplier. I also have not been able to get the column housing off the upper shaft, just got a set of brass punches I think the gear looking item at the top of the shaft in that open box area looks like you have to knock it off in order for the columnTo come off the shaft. I did see some of the other pics that you sent to the other guy which was very very helpful thank you again, the bearing on top of the worm gear is destroyed on mine so I thought that I would just replace the bearing and the gear the warm gear not sure if that’s wise at this point but I still need to get the column housing off of the shaft to do so. Thank you

The last time I painted my house I used Cabot Solid Stain. That was long before Lowes bought them out.<br>

The drain line is probably clogged with algae.

On mine it is Pvc and I use an adapter on my shop vac to suck out the line.

Then I remove the access panel pour a water and bleach mix in and suck it through the shop vac.

Chief is still kickin, lost track. Back to saw. All said my only headache has been the fuel hose in tank with a crack oyher was the little strainer crusted over.

Thanks for the reply. I was able to fix a few days after. Replaced spring and used Kevlar belts. I got smarter and replacement this time was much easier. Also, surprisingly, both belts on front of mower are the same size/part number,

When you say it will not start, do you mean the motor turns over but will not crank up? Or do you mean it will not ever turn over?

If it turns over and will not crank up it could well be a fuel issue. I am not sure the engine on the model you have but our gas gator can be a bear to start at times. Have to be careful how you work the choke and throttle pedal. On ours do not pump the foot throttle or it will not start.

If it will not even turn over: are you sure the solenoid is the correct one, wired back correctly, wires are tight on the post? Check to be sure the battery cable is making connect as they should. This past Saturday had that issue to happen on one of my machines and only way found it was take it to have the battery tested and it was fine. Battery cables can not be making good connection and no sign of acid or such there but try using wire brush or sand paper to clean up the contract areas. Of course do check the switch.
