I am looking for a hydralic setup that I can use with a box scraper, that will let you angle the scraper. I use this on a John Deere 4400 tractor.

I have an 18" width bucket for my Cadplans built backhoe. I want to build a narrow bucket to be used primarily for trenching and possibly to help with the digging up of stumps. I was considering building a bucket of 8" width. A supplier has 6" and 12" width bucket kits for my hoe ready to ship, and can supply my custom width at a slightly higher price (about $30 more). Any feedback on this from users of narrow buckets would be appreciated.

My mower wouldnt start and I checked everything out and only thing I could find was a fuse was bad..I didn't even now I had fuses on the mower nothing in my book about it..I replaced the fuse and she started right up..but I turned her off and she wouldnt start again and I checked and the fuse was blown again..It seems everytime I turn off the mower it blows a fuse..Any suggestions??<br>thanks in advance<br>tom

Don't know if JD still makes one to fit or not. The 755 is about the same size as the 4100. If JD doesn't make one, I'm pretty sure you can get one from Woods. Try www.woodsonline.com

Box scraper probably weighs 400 to 550 lbs. Cutter probably about 600-700 lbs. Loader about 700-800 lbs. All just a guess, but a ballpark to start with. Be thinking tandem axle trailer with brakes.

Are these lip seals? If so, I would replace them. It is a simple job, and they won't get better. But that may not be the whole story. Lip seals don't just leak for no reason. Either the sealing edges were cut when they were installed, or the cylinder rod has some rough spots. The only other possibility I can think of is that there is a type of cylinder seal used on some industrial loaders which has a gland that can be tightened to stop leakage. If you have this type, you will recognise it because the cylinder body will have a large nut threaded on where the rod emerges.

There is a 1995 - 755 with 460Hrs, mid mount mower, 2wheel drive, to be auctioned off in two weeks. mint condition all ways sheaded, What would this tractor be worth. I have a feeling it could go real cheap. Kansas

Harvey, I agree 100%. I know of people who have put in windshield wash, and I was considering it as well. It seems so harmless, I mean you put it in a plastic bottle in your car and spray it on your car. I think people forget it is a alcohol product and will produce vapors which are flammable. I am for sure going with external weights. I just can't decide if I want a ballast box or go with the hang on weights which I could use on the front or rear as needed. Thought about making a bracket to hang on three point, the loader comes with a bracket for the front. Any thoughts on this?

Terry, I think you'll find that's quite normal; maybe not that much, but at least some metal shavings on the screens on all of them. That's the reason they tell you to clean them at the 50 hour service.

Should also keep in mind what the tractor was doing while the engine was running.

I have a Ford 641 (not a compact). The engine was rebuild about 15 years ago. Story I heard was that the Ford mechanic took one look at the main bearings and said that the tractor never had a plow on it. He was right. The tractor has only been used to cut grass.

I agree. I have rolled three tractors over the years due to my position as
slope mowing specialist for the highway dept. I tried to jump off on my first
roll-over. Almost fell/slid back into the brush hog. Always wore seat belt
after that. Rick

Guys, I have been out of town. Here is the info on the 3 pt. pinestraw rakes. Made by: Leinbach Machinery Co., 5000 Reynolds Rd. (HWY 67W), PO Box 11786 Winston-Salem, NC, 27116. (336)924-4115. Their latest info lists a 5' rake (PSR-5) for $149 and a 6' model (PSR-6) for $169. They say it works good on pine needles, grass, and to dethatch lawn. I bet it would work for raking nuts.

Keith,A friend of mine that has a dirt track race car says he mixes diesel and auto.trans. fluid together and sprays his car to keep the clay mud from sticking to it.Maybe it would work in your situation too.

Bammer, The Cub Cadet model 7305 has a MSRP of $17,200 with standard ag tires. This model has a liquid cooled, three cylinder, 30 net HP diesel with a three range hydrostatic drive and MFD. This is the newer version of the 7275, the only real differences being the relocation of the fuse block to under the hood, and direct fuel injection instead of indirect, the later giving you the three extra ponies. It is one of the most excellent compacts ever built (a Mitsubishi product) and enjoys an excellent, reliable record. Used, with those few hours, will not lower the price by much if it has not been abused. You may be able to buy it for $16K. A Cub Cadet loader, made by Woods Inc., will add about $6K and some change, although I've seen them for a bit less if you find the right dealer. If you want a belly mower, and why you would on a machine of this size is beyond me, you'll need to add the optional single lever valve kit, and mid PTO, and the lift kit. The mower is not cheap, nor are the extras. Figure on about $3.5K additional before taxes when you get done. Why not a 3pt hitch model running off of the rear PTO? This would save you about $1,500 because rear mowers are so common and the rear PTO is standard equipment. At any rate, beware, look for wet spots around the center. If someone had a backhoe on it and did not have a sub-frame you could just be looking at a machine that did the split! Good Luck.
