It was the internals of the starter. Given the price to take it and rebuild it I was able to just buy a new one for just as cheap.

I did take it to a friend which has family that rebuild these things. Only information I got was internally connections where not connecting properly.

I just keep renewing my membership to the NRA and get a free knife. Have lots of them, all sizes, colors and shapes The blades are keen. Also have lots of flashlights, etc.

Expanding to Handy things to have in your pocket. I bought this Kerskaw pocket knife at least 30 years ago. 2.25 inch locking blade with rubber handle. For its size you do not notice it your pocket. Nice to have with you .

I did the relay thing many years ago and it starts every time. My Cub-Cadet is a 1994 model and is still running strong with no problems.

I enjoy Hog hunting. I'm from Michigan and the feral hog population is almost non- existent. The local game farms are like shooting domestic animals.

My best experience was with a guide service that can be found on "hogswat.com". They are located in about South Central Alabama. These guys were awesome. They only night hunt and they supply the guns and ammo along with their service. A hunt is $500.00 per night. My hunt was several years ago. At the time they were using Daniel Defense AR's using .223/.556 rifles with 75 grain bullets. The small caliber AR has almost no recoil, so fast follow-up shots are possible. Hogs go down very hard! Their thermal scopes were military grade Armasights.

The hogs are found in open fields that feed in cornfields and pecan orchards. They are definitely wild animals and are not caged or fenced in and are not gamey tasting.

I hunted toward the end of February. A bad winter storm blew thru the I-75 corridor and was -20 degrees in Michigan when I left. I-75 was snow covered and later snow and rain covered. Travel on I-75 was down to 35 mph nearly the entire way. Kentucky had 4 inches of snow with about 2" of rain on top. The following night I hunted, I-75 was shut down in Tennessee from ice.

My guide was Lee. The weather was overcast. If I got more than 30 feet behind Lee, I couldn't see him in the darkness. The thermal scope allowed me to clearly see beyond 300 yards.

Hogs can run about 35 mph. My first shot was a standing shot and nearly broadside toward my left about 100 yards and went thru its heart. It spun around running nearly perpendicular to me toward my right. The second was a lung shot. After that it ran directly away from me. At that point, target size was about the size of a 5 gallon pail bottom. It jigged and jagged while running and I hit it 3 more times. At about 100 yards away it flipped over and was dead. So, I was 5 for 5 in less than 10 seconds.

They generally recommend more than one evening hunt. I only hunted for one night. You should have multiple encounters. If you don't get one, you are a bad shot!

Lee drove an older 4 wheel drive van and we vehicle stalked around many farm fields and orchards. He had a thermal handheld monocle that was tethered to a screen near the rearview mirror mount of the windshield. So I could see what he was seeing as we searched.

Be careful of the many scam artists in Florida and Texas. The hogswat guys are awesome. You will be spoiled with the thermal scope. Hunting in the dark is difficult at first and requires some getting used to.

This is a problem I have struggled with, man have I got imperfections in my turf.

The video below shows a set of manual tools that appear to used on a athletic practice field so I doubt all of the ideas would work on NON FLAT yards But I do think the idea of drags is useful. In fact the area in the video looks great for British lawn bowling.

Not an electrical engineer, but the Lithium cells are probably a good idea in certain circumstances. I got them for my elderly Dad as I knew he would not be checking them.

That said your empirical evidence shows virtually no life span difference with never changing batteries so that sounds better to me as the lithium version can never be changed if they fail.

Thanks for the video it makes it much clearer as to how Kubota manages the ride over mount on the B Series machines. I have seen how they do it on the BX and I think while it is easier on the BX it looks too convoluted probably prone to failure<br>

For some reason I never put two and two together and it never really dawned on me that the ZTR is after all 2WD and could have issues at times as you mention. When I see the landscapers use them they go so fast it looks like it could hurt your back ;-(.

I would say it depends. What are you trying to do? Do you need to begin again? Or you needing to just do some leveling or want a new or different grass?

Reading about the rocks would say go slow with the tiller, period. Unless I wanted to begin with a total clean dirt would pass on the filler and with the rocks sure I would. If you are wanting to open it up for reseeding a landscape rake will work depending on what is growing there now. If too think for landscaping rake take a disk and set the blades almost totally straight and pull it reasonably slow again some due to the rocks. If it needs leveling would recommend bringing in dirt that is both easy to spread and good soil and use box blade or real blade to pull the dirt again slow enough it has time to drop into the low areas. IF YOU CAN GET A PULL BEHIND BLADE and not one on the 3pth it will work much better. If not I would prefer a rear blade slightly turn to right or left so it move the dirt sideways some for me it levels better and does not spill dirt around both ends. Then you may need to pull something fine such as weighted chain link fence across it to fine tune it.

try to jump start it to give it an extra boost,if it doesnt engage its most likely the solenoid,saw the other reply about tapping it with a hammer,thats worked before for me but i still ended up changing the started,depending on model,type,age etc..a starter may be cheaper and better fix than a solenoid,let us know what you discover

KT it's around 9200# if I recall correctly, 500# heavier than the comparable Case 310, but more expensive also. The swing up door and direct hydraulic controls is what convinced me to go with the Kubota.

I'm looking for the brush mower, I'll check the other brands mentioned, thanks.

Spend the same and buy used Kubota. I was in your shoes and NH and Kubota came out with 0% financing on new tractors. I ended up with a new one year old NH and don't regret not getting a chinese tractor, although I wish I would have gotten the Kubota. With being able to buy parts anywhere for many decades to come and being able to find service anywhere if needed.

If you don't mind buying a new fixer upper and having limited parts availability. Buy the Northern. You don't get what you don't pay for.

Been awhile for me since I did a clutch job, but you will need a clutch alignment tool that looks like a custom made dowel rod to set the disk and clutch properly as you tighten it.

Is th flywheel badly damaged? I guess so, I never had that misfortune, it have to be real bad for me to mess with it. You will need an appropriate puller for you situation.

Few years back had problem with a tractor not turning over. Made no sense, it might or might not. It was due to some OLD wise people here I pulled my battery cables and looked inside the clamps. The clamps were glazed over on the side. Tried sand paper nope. Ended up buying one the terminal tool with a reamer on one end and outside tool for the post itself. That solved that problem and that had to be 8 or so years ago. Battery cables often fail but the failure is hidden from the eye until close inspection as you found out.

I have my first dog in few years. Last one was really our youngest daughter's first and then my wife when she moved out on her own. He passed probably 10 or
more years ago. My current one is one not at all like I wanted but he is the RIGHT ONE, no doubt. He is about 8 months old and maybe 50 pound a mix of Austrian Sheep Dog and Blue Healer...a great mix of colors and pattern on him He is at the point he is showing his herding instincts with people. I get tickled as he does it so calmly. If our grands wander he brakes and runs after them if able. He has even taken off after my wife when she went to walk away from the group around the pond. He circled her and she came back.

However he had gotten to the point he now worries about the next door neighbors chidlrens also. If he hears them outside he must check on them and then he has learned there are those in the small subdivision across the road who need guidance...so after lots of asking and checking this week got an electric collar for training. He thought they were only shockers but learned not true and not the shock as you might think. I did try the shocking on my self and it is more of a tingle at least at the level we are at. Only one short lesson with it and it was interesting to watch him. I used the shock a little but found was getting about same response with the vibration and tone. As I heard a trainer say, all you want is their attention back to you.

My wife has said I see it now, if I were to pass he would be in the house within a week. Our oldest daughter said Daddy will put him in the will, she looked at me and said oh no, he already is. lol

Did not know adoption was up, was told the shelters has stop taking them in.
