Any funny sounds?

It's been my experience that a sudden loss of pressure, especially after you mentioned the mashed filter, is that a quick-disconnect (QD) fitting got bumped and partially released. This will dead-head the system and do exactly what you're describing.

PArk the machine, shut off the engine and cycle all hydraulic controls more than once, then check that each and every QD fitting is properly connected. disconnect and reconnect if necessary.

First off, a quick question. Is the loader valve on the tractor or on the loader itself?

If the valve is on the loader that simplifies things since there would only then be 2 lines, supply and return.

If the valve is on the tractor there will be 4 lines, supply and return for both lift and bucket functions.

Sometimes if the loader has been mounted for a while the lines take a 'memory' of the position they were in and will just naturally want to go back in the same position and this will give you a good hint.

I have had a situation like this, but the tractor had a separate hydraulic clutch for the ground movement. Your tractor either has a slipping clutch, a broken shaft in the transmission, or bad ring & pinion. Does it act the same in 2wd & 4WD? If it does the problem is not the ring & pinion.If it doesn't act the same in 2wd & 4WD,, it may be the ring & pinion. Does it make any nises when it doesn't move?

If you put the lights on while starting do they dim much, may be a short in the starter motor.

Only thing I can think of that has a clicking sound is the fuel cut off valve. Is this new issue?

Cutting off when moving regardless the rpm makes me wonder what range this is happening in and how hard are you engaging the forward pedal. I have a HST tractor and depending on the range and load on the tractor can choke it off with full depressing just as a gear tractor if done too fast for the load. If it does not cut off in lowest range with decent engine rpm (at least half throttle) would think you are using too high a gear or too low rpm or too fast of engagement when taking off and when backing up do so slower because you are backing up.

Fast idle only up to 2900 rpm, book says 3400. Went to look at coils and saw only one pulser coil on right mount. From what i gather, this setup only uses one, but want to make sure. <br>
Very soft occasional backfire at slow idle. Wondering where to go next that would cause loss of 500 rpm. Thank you,

Is the differential arm moving to full engagement when you drop the lever? Is the friction pin in place on the differential arm? (Somewhat common) Small chance diff fork broke inside but not likely if you don’t hear anything.

A couple of pointers here.

First, the scream could be cavitation, but it's more likely the relief valve. Either way the simple solution is a small magnetic block heater. I'm not recommending any particular brand, but there's a link below to what I'm talking about. You just stick it to the hydraulic sump. We use these on all our winter maintenance machines (see my picture # 6) and the difference is night & day.

Secondly, unless you have a seriously defective relief valve you are not going to burst a steel tube from over-pressurization. The flex lines and crimp connectors would fail long before the steel line.

I am new to this site, I have a question on on a agracat 2940 super, which I just purchased used from a jd dealer as is, I wasn�t to concerned on the condition, because I thought I got a good deal. Until I got it home, anyways I own a agracat 2920 and had it since 2007, been a reasonably good tractor even though I work it hard w/ a loader and attachments w/ it, the question I have is this agracat 2940 I bought is missing the pto lever down by your right ankle, I thought maybe it was broke off, but took the seat off and the plastic cover, and there is nothing there not broke off or nothing, smooth on the casting, where there never was one, I checked my old 2920, and there a lever and attached to the casing, was wandering if anybody knew about maybe a different location, it has the 540 neutral 1000 lever on the back like all the rest do, but I wanted to know where�s pto lock in lever, if anyone knows anything, it would be appreciated.

Turned out to be my ignition switch! I done an ohm test from the service manual. A and B works on assories but A to C on glow plug preheat is dead, as with A to D on startup. What’s strange is I can put A To C and hit start, and the glow plugs heat. So Crazy. I was thinking about moving C to D, and running a push button toggle switch with a jumper from A to C to preheat the glow plugs. It should work until I get My new ignition switch here and installed, or I just do cold starts until it gets in. Hope this helps someone somewhere.
