970- still can't find problem. Today, checked jumper cable in back for unconnected mid pto. Checked out for continuity, also key mistakenly left on to the right and as I put jumper back in, solenoid was clicking in and out. Checked battery, fully charged at 12.02. Started tractor by holding in solenoid, read voltage coming into battery. Started out at 12.10 and slowly climbed to 12.40 over a span of 10 seconds till we quit checking voltage. ? I even spayed lubricant in key switch and used a new JD key to see if something could possibly not be making contact. Solenoid was jumpered out before and it started, but if need be I will jumper out as suggested. In case I didn't mention it before. relays tested and thought to be good and even switched the 2 same side front to back, no difference. don't know what the other 2 other relays or what ever they are next to the relays are for. I appreciate the help.

Ned help with hydraulic hookup for front end loader. Took off but forget which lines went where when hooking up to pump. Tractor is a C-174 <br>

2006 basket case build. <br>
Compression to spec<br>
Fuel pump to spec<br>
Governor to spec, slow idle smooth<br>

Fresh rebuild on carb with new jets, solenoid, and heater <br>

Fast idle only up to 2900 rpm, book says 3400. Went to look at coils and saw only one pulser coil on right mount. From what i gather, this setup only uses one, but want to make sure. <br>
Very soft occasional backfire at slow idle. Wondering where to go next that would cause loss of 500 rpm. Thank you,

Is the differential arm moving to full engagement when you drop the lever? Is the friction pin in place on the differential arm? (Somewhat common) Small chance diff fork broke inside but not likely if you don’t hear anything.

I am not sure what parts that I do need. I can't even find a diagram of the tiller. The owner said that he was using it last year, and I may not need a thing.

A couple of pointers here.

First, the scream could be cavitation, but it's more likely the relief valve. Either way the simple solution is a small magnetic block heater. I'm not recommending any particular brand, but there's a link below to what I'm talking about. You just stick it to the hydraulic sump. We use these on all our winter maintenance machines (see my picture # 6) and the difference is night & day.

Secondly, unless you have a seriously defective relief valve you are not going to burst a steel tube from over-pressurization. The flex lines and crimp connectors would fail long before the steel line.

I am new to this site, I have a question on on a agracat 2940 super, which I just purchased used from a jd dealer as is, I wasn�t to concerned on the condition, because I thought I got a good deal. Until I got it home, anyways I own a agracat 2920 and had it since 2007, been a reasonably good tractor even though I work it hard w/ a loader and attachments w/ it, the question I have is this agracat 2940 I bought is missing the pto lever down by your right ankle, I thought maybe it was broke off, but took the seat off and the plastic cover, and there is nothing there not broke off or nothing, smooth on the casting, where there never was one, I checked my old 2920, and there a lever and attached to the casing, was wandering if anybody knew about maybe a different location, it has the 540 neutral 1000 lever on the back like all the rest do, but I wanted to know where�s pto lock in lever, if anyone knows anything, it would be appreciated.

Turned out to be my ignition switch! I done an ohm test from the service manual. A and B works on assories but A to C on glow plug preheat is dead, as with A to D on startup. What’s strange is I can put A To C and hit start, and the glow plugs heat. So Crazy. I was thinking about moving C to D, and running a push button toggle switch with a jumper from A to C to preheat the glow plugs. It should work until I get My new ignition switch here and installed, or I just do cold starts until it gets in. Hope this helps someone somewhere.

I recently got a 87 NH 1925, and it needed a starter. I bought one and installed it. No power to instruments. I tested tge relays, but not tge safety switches. That�s next. I Checked fuses and main 30 amp. All ok. I found the previous owner cut thw hw14 and tge hw11b wire to a toggle button. I want to fix it correctly. My question is, Where do these go? The repair manual says to a 6amp diode, but there�s only 2 diodes all wired correctly. If that�s it, where can I find the diode to purchase it at? The power from these are from the Seems tge power from the ignition switch goes to tge hw14 into tge 6amp diode to tge hw11b, one direction. All help appreciated. Ps. Testing the ignition switch next. Also, can tgese simply be spliced together?

Raise the rear wheels off the ground with the stabilizers. Then put range lever in neutral with brakes off. You should be able to turn rear wheels easily by hand. If they don't spin easily, the brakes are dragging. The brake levers at the final drives tend to seize. With hydro the brakes don't get used much and that is the reason they stick. Free them up with penetrating oil and then lube with Fluid Film or something similar to keep it working free,

I had to have them made... he fabricated 2 new spline shafts, then drilled, pressed and welded new spline shafts into yokes...$500 took almost 2 years looking for replacements and/or some one that DIDN'T say it couldn't be done..Dude did a great job with all the confidence in the world good luck

Looking for help... My 3130 HST emits a "click" from the engine when I push "forward" on the pedal. No matter the rpms. It will move forward very slowly (to get off the road?), but when I try take off it shuts down. If I catch it quick and back off it will stay running. Reverse works normally. I am sure this is some sort of safety shut off but don't know what for. Hydraulic fluid level is normal.
