I have a 2003 gas 6x4 gator. The primary clutch wasn't fully disengaging causing chatering and grinding and I suspected I had a broken sping in the non fixed sheave. I pulled the clutch and took it apart and indeed the spring was broken. <br>
The spring is readily available but there is what appears to be a metal and fabric bushing in the sheave half (the side that carries the spyder) that was a little torn up. I haven't been able to find a part number or even a picture of it in exploded views of the clutch. Any of you have 1) any idea how to remove it and 2) where to get a suitable replacement bushing? Thanks.

Problem resolved, thanks to the wife. She was watching as I drove up the grade in our yard and she said the shaft she could see seemed crooked. I had guessed that maybe we had a sheered off bolt on a universal joint. She took the guard off and found the universal was broken. It was missing one bushing or bearing, what ever is on the ends of the center 4 way. She ordered a new universal and I put it on. The fix took about 10 minutes. Good as new now. :)

At the time I believe Kubota was just using three point backhoes not the subframe units. During that time it was not as common for manufacturers of tractors to have the breakage of the center sections of the tractors although it was coming quickly for several brands.

First, is the engine out of the tractor? The upper pan is bolted to the frame. It is what holds the engine to the front of the tractor. If engine is out or frame and front end is separated, be sure you have all the bolts out. Should be 22 of them.

The knob that you are referring to is for the the 3 point arm speed for up and down movement.

What happened? I had to buy a new shaft for my 1500. Could not come up with any alternative.

A month ago I bought a 610 that had been sitting the about the same amount of time. I changed the fuel filters, the lift pump has to be in the right spot on the crank to use the manual pump arm. I had to open the injector lines and use a rag soaked in gas over the air inlet and let it run on that to bleed the injectors.

Change any & all rubber fuel lines in the system.

They deteriorate and get soft, they then allow enough fuel to pass to let the machine idle but when you apply more power the line collapses and starves the engine of fuel.

I bought a 2011 JD Gator XUV at auction. Says motor blown compression problems so I figure a rebuild or new motor<br>

Hi Vaughn and thank you for your help. What you sent is great for testing the switch itself. I am
still looking for the terminal assignment schematic. what goes where. I have figured out the starter and ignition hookup but still have wires with connectors at the key switch and empty terminals on the switch. Unfortunately the wires run along the frame in different directions then just stop (were cut) without giving a clear indication of what they might have gone to. Again thanks for your input.

Are you even sure anyone made fel for your tractor? Have you had any success in your hunt? If you could find one to look at and get specs from you might find another brand that mounts could be modified to fit your tractor.
