I’m not familiar with that model in particular but generally a tractor will have an adjustment knob, usually under the seat between the operators feet, that controls the speed at which the 3pth lowers regardless of how fast the controls are moved.

If that knob is turned too far to the closed position the 3pth will be frozen.

Thanks, I think I will go to the hydraulic fluid used in the transmission. Seems to be what is used on everything that is newer tractors and I don't see how it could damage anything.

For trimming around wall and buildings. Cut left end of mower deck about 4 inches in and hinged it to fold up. Cut left blade about 4 inches off each end heated and folded about I inch down at 90 degrees . Drilled two holes one inch apart on 90 degree vert folds on blade and round the hole edges. Install Plastic string trimmer string on each end of blade an trim just inside of deck. With deck folded up and held with bungie you can trim around fences walls and buildings and not spend 300 to 2k on a factory trimmer. You can still change blade back and fold down deck for regular mowing. Old Fang

Dealer said it can't be done. So I installed power steering on Ariens 18 hp tractor. Use 14 or 16 inch Hd steering columns ,generic steering valve and piston from a cub cadet. Feed hydraulics in series from deck lift valve. A cutting torch removes manual steering nicely. A flat metal bar under the frame is perfect for steering piston anchor. Disk brakes never worked. Used brake foot lever to make a rocker clutch that stops and reverses better than brakes ever did. Also lever control covers - I- 45degree the square corners for smooth lever action

Thanks so very much for your reply and can see the connection to a stuck clutch.
I yesterday got in the tractor again and it did the exact same thing. THEN A LIGHT BULB went off in my head to check the Transmission Range Shifter beside the seat (the one that you can pick SLOW - MED - FASTER Speeds..... When I moved it from Low range to Medium Range as I was desperate to find out what was wrong the tractor moved.
I tried it again in LOW Range and it moved..... I must have hit the lever getting out of the seat last time I used the tractor and it was obviously in a neutral position between ranges thus it would not move. TRACTOR WORKED perfect after a test of it minutes later.....BIG RELIEF!
Sorry to anyone trying to help me on this. Appreciated your reply very much as I later put a stick to depress the clutch some hoping to never have a stuck clutch plate to flywheel.

I have a 2001 TC35 New Holland Tractor with manual shift forward and reverse on left of steering wheel and 4 speed lever on right of steering wheel. After it has not run for 2 months today I started it up and put in forward and number 1 gear to leave the garage and it will not move. Sound like it is still in neutral on both levers? What can I check myself to see why it will not move. Hydraulics work along with 3 point hitch. HELP!

Thanks for your help.

Checked wiring at dash and guages, rebuilt grommets that keep dash from vibrating, secured wiring from vibrating at connections near alternator. Bought & installed new alternator. Put everything back with no leftover parts. Started it up - battery charging at 14.2 - just in time for grandchildren's hayride.

Thanks friends for the kind words, but Dennis old buddy, you owe me a keyboard. The ‘coma rendering evening portion’ comment resulted in a sip of really great wine becoming terribly poor keyboard cleaner. LOL.

Harvey, stents are NOT like diesels, more is NOT better. Look after the engine or the rest of the machine is scrap.

Did this happen all at once or slowly get worse? If all at once I would look at the linkage to be sure there is nothing bent or limb or other trash preventing it having full travel. If slowly would look at linkage adjustment which could also be the issue for all at once. If not something along that line and this is only a guess think it could be issue in the transmission. How many hours are on it and what kind of life has it had? A lot of forward and backward shifting or in and out of gear?

John I happened up TP about 14 years back or maybe longer and one reason I liked TP was the attitude of those here. I left a bigger forum due to the attitude many members there have of being smarter or better than, well me. Hope you have it fixed by now but if you have a cut off valve to hold the load for transporting or to control how fast it lowers or falls it might be closed.
