If i decide to replace axle seals , brake band etc , would a portable engine crane be suitable for removing axle housing ?

Thanks for the information, so do I need to remove the entire axle housing on the side that is leaking to get to replace the seals?

Jobone you were right, battery was dead. Took the old battery to the auto parts store today had it tested and it tested OK but had no lights on tractor or anything if tractor was not running. Decided to replace it even though it tested OK but it was 5 years old, installed the new battery and tractor fired right up.
I didn't think it was the battery because the day before the tractor fired right up with no problems. Have never had a battery go from working fine to totally dead overnight. Guess you can learn something new everyday. Thanks for your imput.

I was flushing out the cooling system on my TC33D and the drain line coming from the engine block drain cock wasn't draining. I went to remove the hose and the hose flange snapped off. I have a replacement drain cock, but how in the heck do you access the part to remove it? You cant use a socket because of the flange, and there is no room for an open or box end wrench.<br>
I've searched the web for videos or answers. No Luck<br>

I've got a full gasket set coming, not sure if it includes the CS seals, but worth a check. The engine didn't appear to be leaking at the seals, but after mucking around with it, who knows what I did to screw them up. Thanks for the tip on the head resurfacing. It shall be done.

Should have added I cut at about 3-3.5". I spread some 10-10-10 every, 4-6 years. Probably lime would not hurt.

But I have a yard not a lawn. If it's green whether grass or weeds it's green. Close enough.

We use a 3pth-mounted tank, the pump (see link below) hangs on the end of the PTO shaft.

Valve depends on the implement and use, whatever is the easiest.

I am contemplating the purchase of a rock crusher to work with the FEL on our big Kubota. The attachment (see MB Crusher) requires 26 gpm and the tractor's system is rated at 21 gpm. The rep said that it is possible to piggy back an additional pump off PTO to supplement tractor's flow. 3pt hydraulic packs are pretty pricey, even if I fab myself. A small unit that uses tractor's reservoir has a lot of appeal. Does this approach make any sense? If so, how would one plumb it in?

Do not miss air intake system either. Diesels live and die on air.
If you want to by pass the fuel system remove air filter and with a helper cranking the engine spray shots of WD 40 into the air intake. If it is fuel it should crank. I have bleed a system doing this. If it cranks you can just keep giving it a shot until it does not try to stop between the shots.

Rats and wasp will build nest in the air intake system. Does not sound like a safety switch issue they normally prevent engine turning over. Do check the fuel in the tank to be sure diesel. You have had some very good points made.

Hey, does it have a manual pull to cut it off in emergency? No ides on your tractor but some tractors do.

How did the upgrade go?
If you don't mind my asking why such a large amount of amps needed? I added three work lights to my B2710 and changed out the headlights to larger bulbs and never had issue.
If I were adding lights now would do so with LED if at all possible.

Have you tried doing internet search for the service manual? There are a few sites that sell at least some. You will have to be set up to split the tractor and to separate it into basically the engine and the transmission back. You must have the ability to support each end and to move them apart and back together.

You need a mechanic to address this but there is one type of leak where the engine oil can get into the coolant system and coolant not into the engine oil. I am not sure where it is. My guess and it is only a guess with the head gasket or the head itself.

Unless the radiator has hyd oil cooler built in do not think the Hyd oil is the source of the oil. I believe you will find the engine oil pressure to be higher than the pressure in the coolant system is so one way travel of the engine oil if a leak between the two.

Busy spring, still cleaning up Hurricane Matthew. For a Cat 1 hurricane it did more damage to us than did Hugo at Cat 4. Hope to get that done over the summer.

In process of moving our about 40 acres of farm land from row crop to hay so had to get land ready for sprigging bermuda grass, only did 15 acres this year as total new crop for me. If all goes well this year probably will do rest next year. But that also requires major work to get a few acres ready.

My most urgent job is to pressure wash our house and other buildings due to warm wet winter.

I have been using Purina Pro Plan for years, has corn and all but as long as the the dog has bones to chew does not seem to be a problem.

Dry Dog probably is not all or even close to perfect, but the the convenience is what makes it so appealing to the human side of the equation.
