Yes Kenny, the valve and drain back port are 4'down.

In heavy clay-based foil you need to lay them in a bed of gravel or sand to allow for drainage around the valve body.

Revisited this post now that I actually have had a Subaru Crosstrek CVT for three years. I have paddle shifters on mine. Paddles so far good for hill decents, not that much fun for accelerating.

They have changed the CVT operation on the Crosstrek since I bought mine so the new ones may be better.

In terms of the CVT allowing automakers to allow a small engine to perform the best it can, the CVT does do that.

The mileage is outstanding and hill climbing does not do much damage to MPG like it has on other cars I own.

Watch what you are doing!!! That is the loader that didn't attach to the tractor well enough and they had a lot of chassis breakage!! I'm just trying to keep you out of trouble! Some people have reinforced the frame to keep the tractor from flexing enough to break.

I filled the hydraulic fluid to the rear of the tractor. That's where I was told the hydraulic fluid fill point was. I just wanted to check the transfer oil and when I did it was full to the brim of hydraulic fluid. I then rechecked the rear where I put the oil and it was dry. Why do you think the oil has left one compartment to the other??? I'm pretty worried know that I will need a whole rear linkage rebuild. Regards Anthony

I am also under the impression that the "N" is for narrow but have never even touched a N classed tractor. If it is a Narrow class tractor then it most likely narrow class in the lift specs. But even it not a narrow class tractor the size and type of tires can affect the between the tire clearance and then if they tires are pulled in all the way or not.

On my B2710 it has the sliding stabilizers and I do use pull pins on it and my lift arms and not the stabilizers are what hit the tires.

WOW. Any injuries? Hope not.

Did you check the fluids or change them with this? I would have replaced filter and the engine and hyd oils. May be a waste and check coolant. Check all those look like should.

Was the tractor running when flipped? If yes what cut it off? Could it have damaged the transmission running with no oil to it with the flip?

But look for damaged linkage due to the flip. While working the lever to select range and the travel pedal be sure the movement travels all the way to the transmission and is moving the rod in the transmission.

I would check the linkage and see if you find some reason the linkage is not fully engaging like worn or stick in the way.

Thanks for the reply. I have had this tractor for over 20 years on the same property, it has UNDER 1000 HOURS BUT IT HAS BEEN WORKED PRETTY HARD, THAT BEING SAID I THINK IT IS TIME TO REDO THE TOP END, I AM GETTING SOME BLOWBY STARTING TO THINK THAT IS THE CAUSE IT DOES NOT RUN TERRIBLE BUT I WAS HOPEING I WAS MISSING SOMETHING SIMPLE.THE GOOD NEWS IS I DO HAVE A TOP END KIT PISTONS,CYLENDER SLEAVES RODS,BEARINGSAND RINGS. I GUESS BLOWBY WILL CAUSE IT TO RUN HOT.

Thank you for your response. I was able to get it working, the issue was related to the weird way the shift knob turns to access different gears. I had to "reset" it. To do that I had to turn it all the way to the left, where the shifter "free floats", then turn it back to an appropriate position and voila Boris is moving again!

Hi Roger, can you please tell me what battery you are using in the 165d? I have the standard garden mower battery and its shot after not using it all of last year. Have to buy a new battery anyway so I'd like to upgrade it if at all possible. I read on one of your posts that you recommend that and the block heater which it already has.

If you watch CNBC and MSBC I was watching on PS Vue and YouTube TV simultaneously. PS Vue on TV and YT on Phone.

1) PS Vue is on about a 30 second delay from real time

2) On CNBC on YouTube TV You get the already mentioned COMMERCIAL BREAK IN PROGRESS screen with the MIND NUMBING BIPOLAR MUSIC. But it is worth noting on PS Vue while you have the 30 sec lag, most of the ads display with the stock ticker still on screen whereas on YouTube you get COMMERCIAL BREAK IN PROGRESS. If you are into CNBC and watching the Market this makes the YT version not viable in my view.

Another note if you want to flip between CBS and MSBC back and forth on PS Vue on Fire TV this is easy on Youtube it is a nightmare. Think flipping between the Giants and the Patriot games during any of the games this fall.

And another comment you cannot tell what content you already watched on Youtube TV. While PS Vue sorta covers watched and unwatched, I have found that PS Vue is very inconsistent on this feature.

One very cool thing that Google has put in that is LACKING in PS Vue is an easy FEEDBACK loop for customers to let Goolgle know what they do not like and like.

Radiator has to be hot for the fan to work. You need to bleed the air out of the system. Bleeder screw is beside the 90 degree carb neck. open the screw and fill the radiator until fluid comes out. When full, tighten screw and continue filling radiator. If the radiator is full and there is nothing coming out of the hole, you will have to fill the hole with fluid yourself. Radiator should get hot in a few minutes, if it doesn't, check the bleeder again and fill. Keep doing until radiator gets warm...........

I am hoping that you were not pinned or injured in the process. That said, the B7100 was/is rather a simple designed tractor. Two things come to mind - First, and the easiest to check, is to make sure that all of the linkage is still intact. Too often, the ring pin locks, or pull pins will rust and ultimately break off. Then when you least expect it, the linkage will fall off and become disengaged. This might have happened as this is an older tractor. It might just have fallen off the lever pins. Check this first.

Second, it is possible, albeit a breathing system, to develop an air block in the hydraulic circuit. This would most likely be evident in the filter for the drive. Take the cover off of the HST housing where the filter is located. Open up the fill cap on the tranny housing (just unscrews). Place matting or rags under the tractor, and remove the filter. Have a new filter ready to replace. I usually "charge" my filters before installing, to prevent an air block. To charge the filter, merely pour clean HST oil in the filter, and allow to stand for half hour or so, to allow it to soak in.
Then reinstall the new charged filter onto the tractor. Start it, run it and check your fluid levels. Make sure not to over fill if needed.
This should take care of any air blockage that could have developed.

I have also had intermittent starting and power loss with fuel tank problems. The fuel pick up tube inside of the fuel tank can be blocked. It sometimes allows fuel to flow but when under load or plugging intermittently can happen and the tractor will not start or perform 100 %. We have had this happen on a 100 horse John Deere......We call it getting the bugs out cause it was from a tractor that was soled probably for the same reasons. The vent line and the the tank were filled with earwigs... So they would pump up allow some fuel but at times block the fuel....

4690 Backhoe will fit but you will need to get mounting plates from dealer if the one you have does not have them. You can also look for an aftermarket such as woods. I would never just use a 3pt backhoe attachment on a tractor. I would also never put a backhoe on a tractor without a front end loader. ...Good luck
