Joel,

I contacted Cub Cadet regarding the part on the control valve,
and it's no longer available.
I will probably need to buy a new control valve assembly.
I was wondering if there is a way to check the GPM of my existing set up to be sure to order the correct replacement
valve.

Murf I wonder if the can not wait attitude is world wide or just in the western world. It creates major debt and in turn stress and family and company failures.

Got something to tell them, God demands patience and is not up for being ordered around. I wonder if some of such as the floods our state faced was due to our sins as a people.

I did chuckle at the clean up order.

Hard to see a crop with profit to it for us next year at current prices. Yields have been over all good and markets are soft with China I think leading the way. It is hard to understand how buying for food varies as much as it can. Ethanol has had a nonfood impact on corn and some other grains and now with the oil price down it has pushed corn down and thus other grains is what I understand. Odd, not aware of input cost dropping nor building material or such dropping. Maybe the trucking and logging industry is making better profits. Have a friend who is a smaller hay grower and he has told me I can clear more with hay than can gross with soybeans. Then I talk with bigger hay grower also a friend and he was not near as positive.

Growing up we did not worry about grain market prices and I assume they varied but doubt as much as since it is really global as we feed our grain to animals which we did sell some cows but by far more hogs. Of course that was before the big boys go into the hog business.

With our flooding and loss of a vast amount of most any kind of crops this year fully expect there to farmers who do not make it. Crop insurance sure will not save them, may keep from deeper debt but will not provide for their full loss.

I used a relay that has a normally closed position and wired the glow plugs to this circuit. When I turn the key to the on position the glow plugs get power ant the orange light comes on. When the light goes out I turn the key to start and I ran a wire from the start position terminal on the ignition switch to the new relay which switches it to the open position which guarantees no power can get to the glow plugs except when it needs to be going to them in the heat step.

Anyone have a blow out diagram of a 3 cylinder injection pump? <br>
Having an issue with mine dumping fuel into the oil reservoir. <br>
I have it apart and believe i found the issue, but want to confirm. <br>

Just the hand pump. It should be pumping fuel while cranking, not just when you work the manual lever. I wonder if the actuating lever on the back side may have broken, fallen off, maybe a pin worked out, who knows? Worth looking at.

Hello i'm a new member and i hae a problem with my cub cadet 7235. The front stub axles are popping the snap rings off and are coming out of the housings. I talked to the mechanic at the dealership and he said to replace the bearings and i did but they are still coming out. Could iit be the bearings in the short shaft that drives the the stub axle or could the shims {parts list call them liners] need adjusted, if so what are the specs on adjusting them? thanks in advace for any help.Any help

No idea where on your tractor but look for large plug near the bottom of the sides or on the bottom of the transmission or rear end if they use the same sump.

Well took the test. I was rather pleased with my results. Did very well on those things I felt should know but as to reading symbols bombed. However I got I think four copies of the test results back. Was that their way of telling me to study??

Do not skip the simple things like, poor battery cable connection. Also your jumper cables could be failing. It will take a lot less amps to power those glow plugs than the starter.

I just read through all of the messages here and I believe there may be a couple of different issues to address.<br>

Cleaning the battery terminals is certainly important, but I'd also replace the battery cables if they haven't been replaced recently.<br>
<br>
Battery cables can corrode INSIDE the connector. I've seen copper wire inside the connector turn green and it crumbles in my hand when I remove the battery terminal from the end of the wire.<br>
<br>
The other issue may have to do with your fuel solenoid. Once the tractor starts, it should continue to run so long as it's getting fuel. A faulty run coil in the solenoid will shut off the fuel.<br>
<br>
Your fuel solenoid likely has two separate coils in the same housing. If your coil has three wires at the plug connection, both coils are contained in the same housing. <br>
<br>
The start coil is much larger than the run coil. When you turn the switch to the start position, the start coil operates the fuel valve and allows fuel to flow. Once the tractor has started and the switch is returned to the run position, a smaller coil in the fuel valve solenoid coil holds the valve open. It takes less force to hold the valve open than it does to open it initially.<br>
<br>
Unlike a gas engine, a diesel engine won't shut off by killing power to the spark ignition coil. Diesels will run forever, until either the tank runs empty, of the fuel flow is shut off.<br>
<br>
Check your fuel solenoid coil. You can easily check it with a common volt meter. Set the meter to read resistance...or Ohms. If you have very high resistance on the run coil, that's a sign of having a broken wire (open condition). The engine will start, but will shut off as soon as the ignition key is returned to the run position.<br>
<br>

The post you replied to is actually over 10 years old. Not sure he is still an active member. The special tools needed would be a special JD tool JDG1259. It is a special jig that bolts on the transmission housings used to measure clutch and housings to determine shim pack for proper clutch operation. You use it in conjunction with a depth micrometer. Other special tools would be jacks, stands, blocks, etc, to split the tractor.

first thing I'd do is cover up about 3/4 of the plastic air intake about 75% with scotch packing (or other) tape, if that cures your problem, it's probably the 50 cent plastic restricter that's fell out or not there for whatever reason. I spent about 300 dollars on parts i didn't need because of that silly thing. I've got a new carb i'll sell somebody cheap if they need it, or even THINK they need it :)

I was too determined to fix it to slowdown and actually analyze (accurately) what was happening. The carb did need cleaning though.
