I just read through all of the messages here and I believe there may be a couple of different issues to address.<br>

Cleaning the battery terminals is certainly important, but I'd also replace the battery cables if they haven't been replaced recently.<br>
<br>
Battery cables can corrode INSIDE the connector. I've seen copper wire inside the connector turn green and it crumbles in my hand when I remove the battery terminal from the end of the wire.<br>
<br>
The other issue may have to do with your fuel solenoid. Once the tractor starts, it should continue to run so long as it's getting fuel. A faulty run coil in the solenoid will shut off the fuel.<br>
<br>
Your fuel solenoid likely has two separate coils in the same housing. If your coil has three wires at the plug connection, both coils are contained in the same housing. <br>
<br>
The start coil is much larger than the run coil. When you turn the switch to the start position, the start coil operates the fuel valve and allows fuel to flow. Once the tractor has started and the switch is returned to the run position, a smaller coil in the fuel valve solenoid coil holds the valve open. It takes less force to hold the valve open than it does to open it initially.<br>

Unlike a gas engine, a diesel engine won't shut off by killing power to the spark ignition coil. Diesels will run forever, until either the tank runs empty, of the fuel flow is shut off.<br>

Check your fuel solenoid coil. You can easily check it with a common volt meter. Set the meter to read resistance...or Ohms. If you have very high resistance on the run coil, that's a sign of having a broken wire (open condition). The engine will start, but will shut off as soon as the ignition key is returned to the run position.<br>

Glad you found it, every unit is a little different. They do, BTW, sell replacement units with better breathing capacity. You just need to know the pipe thread size of the port.

FYI, can you hear the Disney Mouskateers singing "It's a small world after all?", I'm barely an hour due west of you. Due south of Lake Simcoe.

The post you replied to is actually over 10 years old. Not sure he is still an active member. The special tools needed would be a special JD tool JDG1259. It is a special jig that bolts on the transmission housings used to measure clutch and housings to determine shim pack for proper clutch operation. You use it in conjunction with a depth micrometer. Other special tools would be jacks, stands, blocks, etc, to split the tractor.

first thing I'd do is cover up about 3/4 of the plastic air intake about 75% with scotch packing (or other) tape, if that cures your problem, it's probably the 50 cent plastic restricter that's fell out or not there for whatever reason. I spent about 300 dollars on parts i didn't need because of that silly thing. I've got a new carb i'll sell somebody cheap if they need it, or even THINK they need it :)

I was too determined to fix it to slowdown and actually analyze (accurately) what was happening. The carb did need cleaning though.

Many if not most companies use a standard qd fitting design. Think call Pioneer style but not 100% certain on that. I would suggest taking one of your current ones with you to the store. But why did the others not fit? Different size or style?

The controls for the remotes are usually next to the lever the controls the three point hitch raise and lower.

If it is an after market set of remote that controls could be just about anywhere, in that case look for some black rubber hoses that lead to a control valve usually within easy reach of the operators right hand.

I have a Boomer 35. It says right on it on the back LS. NH had them make them for a bit after the Tsunami hit and wiped out the Japan plant. Still came with NH warranty and NH service

I apologize for being a little late to this party.

Anytime you need to check a 12 V circuit for either continuity or roughly the resistance, by far the best way to do it especially if you suspect a dead short, is to use a 12 V sealed beam light bulb.

I use a rubber 12 V tractor work lamp with a 55 W halogen bulb in it. I mounted it on a large magnet using the quarter-inch mounting bracket supplied with the light. A couple of feet of wire for each of the ground wire and a positive terminating in alligator clips completes the test set.

Something like a glow plug all you need to do is contact the 12 V positive wire to the positive battery terminal and then touch the connector of each individual glow plug with the negative wire of the light, you can quickly judged by the color of the light how low the resistance of each glow plug is.

The beauty of this system is that you are using the light bald as a fusible link and since it is a resistive element you cannot blow it because it can never take more current than the lightbulb filament requires.

I have bought more parts for Kubota than any other brand but will agree with Art on their prices. Now their prices as with any brand can vary. Try to find a good local dealership and build relationship with them.

I'm new to this so go easy on me please.
I had the same problem and it is costly. After changing the relay and the timer and still burning the glow plugs I dug deeper and discovered that the system appeared to work perfectly, but the plugs were energized again once I turned the key to the start position. I should have caught it sooner because the glow plug light came back on when I turned the key to start. I installed a relay that breaks the circuit when the key is in the start position and Bingo, they last.

That tractor was a combination of old Kubota models L-series and B-series. To look at the dash and you will see an old Kubota L-series the same for the hood fasteners for the obvious. Take your engine size and find the same size Kubota and you probably will find a valve to fit. Will be the best part of the tractor!

What book do you have?
I have a two volume reprint of the Deere manual. The electrical section has basic diagrams for both early and late serial number tractors as well as trouble shooting and some circuit diagrams for individual systems. If you care to elaborate on your concerns, maybe I can be of some help.
