Definitely try starting with jumper cables.

Also make sure the connections at the starter solenoid are clean.

If it will not start with all good clean connections and jumpers might be starter solenoid.

New to forums and diesel engines having some trouble though

I have a 1979 Shibaura -Ford 1500<br>

Started to leak around the right side shifter the other day. Decided I should change the hydraulic fluid and fix the leak. I pulled the transmission drain bolt last night, nothing comes out? I pulled the drain bolt at the lowest point at the rear diff and the fluid drained. It shares transmission and hydraulic fluid. Was surprised when I got up this morning to see there is still a lot of fluid coming out around shifter?? Seems odd as I drained it.<br>

Wondering if there may be fluid locked in the transmission somehow??<br>

Anyone know if there is a transmission vent on this machine that could be plugged?

Many if not most companies use a standard qd fitting design. Think call Pioneer style but not 100% certain on that. I would suggest taking one of your current ones with you to the store. But why did the others not fit? Different size or style?

The good news is that it is now idling without the governor searching :)

I pulled the carb again, removed all parts that I could and soaked the carb and parts in a vessel filled with Berrymans B12 fuel cleaner. I then agitated the mix with a low volume of air. Soaked overnight and agitated again. I did notice some dirt it the solution after cleaning. Blew all parts and holes with compressed air.

I can now adjust the low speed circuit screw and make it stumble in and out. I then took it for a ride at high speed (yea, don't race anyone) and all is well.

I will be draining the carb before next storage period and adding Stabilizer to the tank.

The controls for the remotes are usually next to the lever the controls the three point hitch raise and lower.

If it is an after market set of remote that controls could be just about anywhere, in that case look for some black rubber hoses that lead to a control valve usually within easy reach of the operators right hand.

I have a Boomer 35. It says right on it on the back LS. NH had them make them for a bit after the Tsunami hit and wiped out the Japan plant. Still came with NH warranty and NH service

I apologize for being a little late to this party.

Anytime you need to check a 12 V circuit for either continuity or roughly the resistance, by far the best way to do it especially if you suspect a dead short, is to use a 12 V sealed beam light bulb.

I use a rubber 12 V tractor work lamp with a 55 W halogen bulb in it. I mounted it on a large magnet using the quarter-inch mounting bracket supplied with the light. A couple of feet of wire for each of the ground wire and a positive terminating in alligator clips completes the test set.

Something like a glow plug all you need to do is contact the 12 V positive wire to the positive battery terminal and then touch the connector of each individual glow plug with the negative wire of the light, you can quickly judged by the color of the light how low the resistance of each glow plug is.

The beauty of this system is that you are using the light bald as a fusible link and since it is a resistive element you cannot blow it because it can never take more current than the lightbulb filament requires.

I have bought more parts for Kubota than any other brand but will agree with Art on their prices. Now their prices as with any brand can vary. Try to find a good local dealership and build relationship with them.

I had the same problem and it is costly. After changing the relay and the timer and still burning the glow plugs I dug deeper and discovered that the system appeared to work perfectly, but the plugs were energized again once I turned the key to the start position. I should have caught it sooner because the glow plug light came back on when I turned the key to start. I installed a relay that breaks the circuit when the key is in the start position and Bingo, they last.

That tractor was a combination of old Kubota models L-series and B-series. To look at the dash and you will see an old Kubota L-series the same for the hood fasteners for the obvious. Take your engine size and find the same size Kubota and you probably will find a valve to fit. Will be the best part of the tractor!

What book do you have?
I have a two volume reprint of the Deere manual. The electrical section has basic diagrams for both early and late serial number tractors as well as trouble shooting and some circuit diagrams for individual systems. If you care to elaborate on your concerns, maybe I can be of some help.

After seeing the picture, I can see it is not 4 wheel drive, and it has turf tires. The 4000 price tag makes it marginal for a two wheel drive as to getting your money back if you need too. Turf tires are terrible in snow if that is what you are hoping to use it for, and putting a front end loader on it would also make it a challenge unless you fill the rear tires with fluid. For me, this would be a pass.
Both tractors are at a minimum of 15 years old, and on the B8200, the 16 hp at the PTO makes it difficult to find attachments that would be effective, the 2250 at 21 hp is usable.
All in all, both would be a pass for me. I have a Kubota B2320DT that is 4 wheel drive and without weight on the back end I run it in 4 wheel drive when using the loader. I use it for chores on the ranch, it has a FEL and I use it for snow removal, cleaning corrals and small things which the backhoe is just to big to be effective, also the Kubota is a lot lighter (by 15000 pounds) and I can use it for picking up rocks out of the field after I have planted if I need too without compaction.
Before deciding on this, I worked through what wanted it for, the wife and her garden, what else I could use it for around the property. At 18 hp on the PTO, I can use a rototiller, and a brush-hog and under 2000 lbs even with the FEL, I can get into ground that would be too soft for anything else I own, tire spacing is right I can use it to cultivate as I am trying new spacing on my planters. One plus for this tractor has been I can get 16 hours of operation at near full hp for about 5 gallons of fuel.

Yes same problem. Everyone asked where it broke? Frame broke holding engine block and then block breaks if you are not aware it is going. Bad frame design. Paid to have it redesigned and welded as well as the engine block and then of course we had to pull it all apart to have that done.
