After seeing the picture, I can see it is not 4 wheel drive, and it has turf tires. The 4000 price tag makes it marginal for a two wheel drive as to getting your money back if you need too. Turf tires are terrible in snow if that is what you are hoping to use it for, and putting a front end loader on it would also make it a challenge unless you fill the rear tires with fluid. For me, this would be a pass.
Both tractors are at a minimum of 15 years old, and on the B8200, the 16 hp at the PTO makes it difficult to find attachments that would be effective, the 2250 at 21 hp is usable.
All in all, both would be a pass for me. I have a Kubota B2320DT that is 4 wheel drive and without weight on the back end I run it in 4 wheel drive when using the loader. I use it for chores on the ranch, it has a FEL and I use it for snow removal, cleaning corrals and small things which the backhoe is just to big to be effective, also the Kubota is a lot lighter (by 15000 pounds) and I can use it for picking up rocks out of the field after I have planted if I need too without compaction.
Before deciding on this, I worked through what wanted it for, the wife and her garden, what else I could use it for around the property. At 18 hp on the PTO, I can use a rototiller, and a brush-hog and under 2000 lbs even with the FEL, I can get into ground that would be too soft for anything else I own, tire spacing is right I can use it to cultivate as I am trying new spacing on my planters. One plus for this tractor has been I can get 16 hours of operation at near full hp for about 5 gallons of fuel.

I have a 782 Cub Cadet. I actually had two, one with a good engine and one with a good transaxle, and I combined the best of both. When using the one with the good transaxle, it held on a steep hill perfectly. After I combined the two, I'm afraid to even go gown a hill because when trying to hold it back on the same hill it actually applies the brake and when you put it in forward it takes off too fast. I know it has to be an adjustment. I'm a 74 year old woman and determined enough to combine the two, but not sure or smart enough to figure out what to adjust. <br>
Please help and be explicit.<br>

Yes same problem. Everyone asked where it broke? Frame broke holding engine block and then block breaks if you are not aware it is going. Bad frame design. Paid to have it redesigned and welded as well as the engine block and then of course we had to pull it all apart to have that done.

Your tractor model is a subcompact so at least it is a little lower to the ground. As Ken said I would not deflate the tires like you see people do at the beach with 4x4's.

You should make sure the tires are not over inflated though. With the tractor fully loaded with an operator sitting on it check on a concrete floor that the tire tread is in full contact and adjust pressure until it is.

I know little about a Kioti but the brakes most likely run in an oil bath using the hyd/transmission oil. Try oiling any and all linkage points and see if that helps.

well good news. Since only the power wire was broken we just bypassed the connection. we ran a fuse into the wire, wrapped it in shrink wrap and sealed the harness back up. also filled it with dialectic grease so we wont have any more water issues.. hopefully problem solved.

The best time to sell is when you find someone that is really interested. I'd buy them all day long if the price is right for me but it doesn't mean it is right for you.

Watch tractor house and fast line to find comparables and remember the dealer will normally accept offers. So price accordingly.
Most people buy more towards spring. Try craigslist.

Just because your tractor doesn't have the mid PTO option, doesn't mean the harness won't have the necessary wiring/connectors for it. Should those wires somehow become damaged over time and the related circuits make/break for whatever reason, the indicator lights and related actions may well come and go. Check the area(s) where such switches and sensors would be if installed. Look for signs of damage to wires or harness connectors that aren't currently in use, but may have been stowed somewhere nearby.

I second BigRol. Look for a flarenut crowfoot ( much smaller required clearance which should cost you less than $10). The other thing is to close your eyes when setting the wrench and imagine what you are trying to do as you do it rather than actually watch it.( after first having looked to see what you want to accomplish) This seems counter-intuitive, but we are actually set up to do this as our sense of touch is generally far more accurate than our visual coordination. -This trick also works for a lot more things than simple mechanics.<br>

The only thing I would add is if you have had to remove screws from the plastic covers to get at the steering try to replace them with real automotive steel ones. I've had several Kioti Phillips screws strip on me with minimal pressure, so they certainly aren't the grade 8 steel they are coloured to look like. ( I would say they are closer to grade 2 as I have never had the same problems with other fasteners, even grade 5 ) - A few cents can save you a great deal of headaches later.<br>

Yes, you can weld cast iron with a stick welder, but.......

First and foremost, you need the right materials, Softweld 55% nickel or the equivalent rod.

Second, it's not for inexperienced welders and the rod is pretty spendy so it may not be cheap to practice either.

All in, IMHO you should have a welding or machine shop do the repair for you, especially given the precision required. After all you want a smooth flat face and accurate bolt holes when you're finished.

auerbach, thanks for the words of wisdom.the simply solution are the hardest to see.so I drain the oil and put my 3.6qts in .so now I see the right reading on the stick.Funny thing is while doing this I find a sticker on the under side of the hood cover and it said the tractor should take 4.3qts. so I'm thinking??replacement parts from a different model??

Hard to believe four sending units would all be bad but possible. I would try to test with volt meter and see if you can detect any voltage change on oil pressure sending unit from not running to idling. If none then think sending unit is bad. Again hard to believe all four sending units are bad unless there was a voltage spike to the system.

Is there a connection where all the wires are in a single plug and by change it is not plugged in correctly, like it is roated 180 degrees throwing all circuits off?
