Ok, now with a little more info it's a little easier to advise.

It sounds like the PTO is just not fully disengaging. If there is an inspection plate I'd see if you can have a look and see if the lever has slipped on the shaft that engages / disengages the PTO.

Most of these starters are Nippon-Denso or just Denso brands. A few are Mitsubishi brands. You are being sent-up the river with a 12-tooth vs. a 15-tooth gear for the starter. I would have refused that from the start.

Our starters for Ag use the old solenoid technology, thus they cost more. If you have the starter brand maker and can search their catalog for the same mounting and teeth, an OffSet Gear Reduction starter is the way to go. They are a bit stronger, last longer and cost about 35% less. My YM2610 starter was shown to be $254. Got it for $99 brand new with free shipping once I found the cross-reference to the newer technology starter.

Nippon-Denso, aka former Toyota parts division, makes starters for Industrial, Ag, and automotive. Thus, it's rather simple to fins starters locally at NAPA, AutoZone, etc for the Off Set Gear Reduction (OSGR) starters. Even the NAPA price would be better than any Ag supplier too.

Back in 1962, Chrysler was the first to mass produce this type of starter. Today, all modern vehicles use this over the old solenoid types pre-1980s.

sounds as if you have water in your hydraulic fluid, check ,pull dipstick out of transmission or read end if the fluid looks milky ,you have water in that fluid. Drain and I flush the system with diesel fuel about 5 gallons and run 2 or 3 minutes drain and fill with new Hydraulic fluid,And you could have a bad pump if so you can find one at 877-530-4430 Ag-Parts and most times they will have one. and with a year warranty.

I own a 1999, 7305 Cub Cadet Tractor with hydrostatic transmission which was purchased new. I have performed regular maintenance for the years I have owned it. Over the past couple years I�ve noticed the tractor seems to be losing drive power when I go up an incline. I used to be able to go up a particular hill in mid range with no load in or on the machine. Now I can only go up the same hill in low range. Additionally, I get some smoke from the exhaust. Also, when the tractor is on level ground, it has difficulty moving in high range. It almost feels like there is a drag or that the brake is being applied. It seems to move backwards with less trouble. The machine has plenty of power at the front end loader and the backhoe (with no smoke). It just seems to be problematic when driving forward, and especially uphill. Has anyone here experienced anything like this and have any advice or ideas? Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

There are two solenoids in the rear that are activated by the swithches that you are describing. They control the up and down movement of the 3pt. They are picking up power from somewhere. Try removing one of the wires on the raise switch and see if it stops. Touch the wire against the terminal on the switch. It tries to raise then the switch is possibily bad.

Handiman, I have no problem with you sharing your concerns and issues with Case, just in reality don't think you will find the support and open doors you hope to. With the police you are dealing with elected people and with private industry the stock holder is who elects them. I am very aware that the cost of lawsuits is one big part of any big business. Even for a repair shop is why so many business have liability insurance. And yes some law suits are valid.

I think you have had some sharp minds trying to help you and here is one old one chiming in also. Have not had a small Honda gas engine so no idea how the choke system on it works, but by chance does it have like a two stage choke? By that I mean a full choke for when first cranking the engine and then partly open choke for the first few seconds of run when you do get it running? If so that may be your problem. I have Stihl and Husky engines with this set up and if you were to leave them on full choke they would run like you are talking about.
Then one other thought as this is pressure washer I understand, does the water pump side have a switch to detect if no water flow to cut the engine off to save the pump?
Also it would fit what you had to happen with running out of gas and refill and then this problem with new gas: are you sure it is really gas? Not being smart but I had about same issue and somehow there was diesel fuel in mine gas. The other thought that comes to my mind is there was a piece of trash in the new gas and it is takes about 15 seconds for it to be sucked in place to cut off the fuel on the outlet.

If it's an electric tach, then you might have your wires crossed or polarity backwards. If it's mechanical then....your engine is running backwards? Not likely...stumped if its a mechanical tach.

Reminds me of bucket pin on my mini Volvo. Pin broke and was able to drive out the broken pin but the damaged bushings had to be ground out with carbide bits. Were suppose to be able to drive them out also.
Only thing I can say is very fine steel surfaces that are joined for a while to another fine steel surface they seem to join. Not sure what it is called but it almost seems like the steel is a living item.

Then having worked for major heavy equipment manufacture for a few years it could be the pin was really over size or the bushings undersize of they did not line up as they should have and as we said "if it does not fit, get a bigger hammer" and I honestly saw some shafts there was no way to remove once they were driven in. When we saw such it was normally due to the two bushings not being in perfect alignment but they really do not want any slack in the none rotating part of the shafts either.

I am assuming it is suppose to cut off when you raised off the seat. It sounds like you have a safety switch issue. You may have a control that is not fully in neutral or somehow it has gotten bumped and not lined up as it should be.

Do all your steps to crank it and with key held to crank work each lever or safety switch slowly to see if a slight wiggle finds the issue.
