So you think that the price is low? What is the price? Is it a gear drive, GST or hydro? Is the three point hitch with it? What tires? I haven't seen hour meters breaking at that low of hours, on another note a rental yard normally charges by hours.

Hi, have a 2360 long tractor, is there a simple way to adjust the hand brake on this tractor. I have a pdf of the service manual for the 360,460 and 510 but just can't seem to figure out how the adjustment works without getting inside of the rear drive.

Ephemeral,

Having the few extra gears available is really only necessary during demanding situations, such as when plowing, tilling, or blowing snow.

There are a few other instances when having an extra gear to pick from would be nice -- such as when spraying pesticides, applying fertilizers, or working on hilly ground.

I am sure you have a pump problem if your father in law did not change the oil in the pump, those have to have the oil changed when the engine oil is changed, and they must be periodically checked for oil level.<br>
I inherited one of those as well, so far it is not good news, very expensive to rebuild, looking for an alternative.<br>

lol, i have a similar thing with one of mine but i think the hour meter still works. Have a google for a wiring diagram i found one and i suspct i have a problem with either a swicth on the transmission or a swicth on the handbrake which stops you starting unless in neautral and handbark on. To be honest i hadn't noticied if the hour meter was working or not. See if you can find a iring diagram and then look at what i am talking about and if it makes sense or not.

Crank is the principal rotating parts of the engine, after mounted the conrods, crank could take a connecting rod up and down motion into circular motion. Rotation of the crankshaft is the source engine's power, but also the entire mechanical system.<br>

I hooked the tiller up yesterday and sized the pto shaft. I had to cut 5" off both pieces. I kept the end guards but left the shaft tubes off. I want to be able to see the shafts. The tiller runs great! My wife would't let me till the yard up, I guess I'll have to wait untill I take out to the farm.

After I hooked the splitter up and ran it a bit I checked the hydrulic box level. I had to add a gallon of fluid and it was full before I started. I was surprised how much it took to prime the splitter.

Well, that describes the generic procedure for just about any water pump. But in this case the radiator shroud - and perhaps the whole radiator - may have to be removed to gain unrestricted access to the water pump. There's may also be the matter of removing/replacing the coolant temperature sending unit.

This is a good point to prevent summer and fall moisture from freezing during the winter storage ...

Thanks Rob. A couple of things.

1) I am glad to know I'm not alone with this problem. -Although I'm sorry for your trouble.

2) I REALLY wish I had read the above before I found what was, I'm pretty sure, the last new old stock loader valve in the country, had it sent to me from Wisconsin and installed, and realized the problem was not resolved... AHHHHHHHH!

3) I am actively still looking for a solution to this, so any and all opinions are still encouraged and appreciated. -I have printed out all relevant opinions and will drop them off at the shop to try.

4) Once I figure out what the issue is, I WILL share it so you and others can learn from it.

5) Just spit balling, I'm wondering about the idea of emptying the hydraulic system of oil and pressurizing it with air and listening for air leaks, any thoughts on this strategy?

Some times I think about giving up and finding someone down south to sell it to...

Very good review and comparisons of deere vs kubota. too bad it is 10 yrs old. What should be added to the review is the problem with cracked bellhousings on the JD 110 TLBs. I went to look at one yesterday and knew where to look and found a crack. Have no idea why they crack but the repair cost is 5 figures! Buyer beware.

Chinese ignition switches are notoriously unreliable. OE switches are not weatherproof, and the wafers inside simply disintegrate over time. But there are a couple other things to check first. <br>
(a) battery ground cable: disconnect the end that's bolted to the engine support frame. Use a wire brush or acetone to remove the paint from both the cable lug and the support frame. Once you've got bare metal on both, reattach the battery cable<br>
(b) clutch interlock switch; it's underneath the left floorboard. Yours may be positioned incorrectly relative to the clutch pedal, or it may be damaged/destroyed already. Reposition/replace as necessary<br>

Even if one of the above is the current cause, I recommend replacing the OE switch anyway. It WILL eventually fail. Shop for a Ford type cold start switch. There are cheap replacements for under $20 ( http://www.dealsinapinch.com/A_E7NN11N501AB_p/a-e7nn11n501ab.htm ). Chinese, but still better than OE. If possible, find a Lucas switch, they're the most reliable.<br>

And if cost is no object, get the same switch in marine grade. They're weatherproof and nearly indestructible. This one<br>
