Just wondering here: can you lift a point at the time with your tractor and block it up on say 2 by 4s and then slide it on them while on your trailer and it remain stable?

Not knowing the hoe's weight you be careful with using say a tree limb to lift from but have done that. I have used a simple come-a-long to lift just clear of the trailer and slowing drove out from under it. If need be lower air pressure but tree limbs will bow and snap. So can the cable on a come-a-long if over loaded.

I agree with toolate, there are more booms out there than you realize. At least haul it to one and have them reposition it on the trailer.

Now is not the time but learned a few years back, know how it will be unloaded before you load it. Same with planting a crop, know where you will sell it before planting it. kt

When filling a tire for ballast should you fill the tire 100 percent or some other level? I thought you were supposed to set the valve to the highest position and then fill so that it is just above the the height of the wheel rim, then pressurize the tire with air so it might be 65 percent full fo liquid. Is that right?

Any one out there that has put a power beyond on John Deere 4600 compact tractor? How hard or complicated is it? I do have some mechanical experience. Also want to install the LVB25568 kit on the tractor for a John Deere 48 back hoe I just bought. I had to do a lot of research in order to find the correct mounting hardware. It seems John Deere no longer offers this kit. I was very interested in this discussion.:-)

Last year I had my tires loaded with antifreeze on the Foton. I have calcium in the old Ford tires and had to replace a rim cause it ate it up, so I wanted something not corrosive. The other day the temps warmed up and left a moisture line where the cold antifreeze level was and one tire was a third short. The tire place guy says to me how would you know how much is in it, so I told him how I knew. One of the other guys tapped the tire with a mallet and tells the guy they owe me some antifreeze, he didn't like it. Of course they didn't have any and I'm suppose to check back in a couple of weeks. The worker tells me he bet they didn't have enough and put in what they had. I paid for the full load and that's what I expect to get, so I will be checking back.

I bought a L2500 w/ LA452S (HD) loader new and price sounds ok. I have never had a minutes problem with it, of course I do keep it inside and serviced properly. My tractor has 382 hours on it. Good luck and hope this helps.

My tc35d glow plug light will come on when I turn the ignition switch. and goes off after 5 seconds, but glow plugs do not work. Where should I start on troubleshooting?

Murf, did not chuckle out loud but I worked for a large equipment manufacturer for a few years. Over those years I was the inspector when the machine came off the assembly line and filed in where we load test the machine.

The reason for my chuckle was the directions called for easy operation during the break in period, while at the plant I ran them full throttle for over a half hour testing all systems,before it was load tested.

I agree, let me break in the machine. We also saw small oil leaks and such that really prove to be residue from the assembly and of course the blown hose that was defective. Never knew of a defective major component.

I'm not familiar with your brand of tractor but sounds like a stuck valve. If your lucky it might be where the linkage pushes it for raise and you can pull it back out and it will free it up. If your not lucky sounds like you'll be tearing the 3pt box apart and doing a rebuild. I rebuilt the 3pt on my Foton and it was harder getting to it than it was to rebuild it.

Have model hinomoto e204 with front end drive train damage. I have access to model e224 for parts. Question: Will the front axle chassis drive train work on model 204. Both front end units look identical.

Naturally some say bigger is better! For 25 acres any of the models mentioned would work. Some times smaller is better although some of the initial prep work will take longer. The larger chassis is stronger overall it just depends on you. To be taking it with you on the exemption I'd take the larger chassis for less expenses and the thought of having to pay more later.
We can only hope there still might be some of Dole's work still showing to make your life a little easier. Please check local laws for what tree's you can cut and can't as they are quite strict!

No idea the exact set up on these levers but it sounds like that lever goes direct into the transmission. If so doubt you have much to check or possible issue outside of the transmission however that being said:
If I am correct on the design have you tried oiling it where it enters the transmission?
Have you check the transmission oil level?
Have you tried jacking up a rear wheel and slowing rotating it by hand while someone is also apply some pressure to the shiftier to see if it move?
