Thanks Bugs. Just got off the phone with a friend who has tractor garage and he said never heard an issue with the gas. He did say you could not tote enough gas to the V 10.

I used to have brother in law who's nickname was Bugs.

Permits depend on your location, I just finished my pole bldg. house and I was able to be AG Exempt because I farm my land and make a certain amount off my land. The one thing I would recommend is not buying a Lester Bldg. That's what I bought, Lester Bldgs. engineered it, provided me with one of their Lester Dealer/Builders who they recommended as doing "Good Work", which was a lie. When they were done I found that I had 25 roof leaks where they didn't install scews into Purlins, 8 Purlins not nailed at all and could have blown my roof off, I paid extra for roof dripstop which they shorted me on, I paid extra for 3/4" plywood on all exterior walls but they shorted me on that, Gaps/Openings in my roof valleys where wind had blown into the attic and blew my insulation away rain coming in too, a lot of my soffit only had one staple holding it on, facia boards barely on the trusses and nails missed truss, facia covers not cut to fit properly & hung down an inch on the ends. I paid an Amish crew just weeks ago to come in and fix these problems, but before I did I called the Lester Bldgs Regional Manager out to see if Lester Bldgs would fix my Lester Bldg, but Lester Upper Management said they didn't feel any responsibility and would not help, so I paid the Amish crew to fix my Lester Building.

It will go in if you have a torch, welder, and new motor mounts (after you have altered the frame with the torch and welder), new fuel tank, new fuel lines and filter, new electrical system, dash lighting and ignition, new air intake and muffler, new coolant lines, etc. I'm sure I forgot something. Long story short, it will go in, but.................

My Ford 1000 is "wet Stacking" blowing oil droplets out of exhaust. Have not ran it long enough to see if water level or oil level is lowering. But I noticed a thin layer of oil floating on top of the antifreeze in the radiator. And can any body help me out with a service manual, or owners manaul. Thanks

Thanks much for the tip on stevens. Somehow I missed them in my searching.

As it turns out, for those who may benefit from my search, the pump for the 3 point (TX11234) is a different pump from the hydrostatic steering pump (TX 16380 or 16569). There are two parts listed in the parts manual for the steering pump, the difference has to do with the mounting bolt spacing. One has the same spacing on both the intake and pressure side and the other the two are different.

have to replace the shifting blocks just below shift lever as they are worn and sometimes get stuck between gears. Question is if I have to split the tractor to do it and if not how are they changed. Thanks Jim

Is the problem that the tractor will not turn over or it cranks but will not start?
I re read the thread, and am not clear on that.
If it cranks but not start, then may need to bleed the injectors. Messy but not hard. Crack the fuel lines loose at the injector slightly. Crank engine until fuel is dripping from all 3 injectors, then tighten back down. It may even start, so be careful.
If won't crank, get an automotive remote switch.
Connect first wire to the small wire (key power to run the solenoid)the other to the battery cable going to the starter.
Let us know how it goes
Make sure you are in neutral on both shift levers and don't stand in any path of the tires.
Press button, should crank over.

Possible issues
Linkage not adjusted correctly.
Linkage is bent not fully engaging the pto.
Linkage has something restricting its movement, even may need oiling. Possible trash also.
Guess you could have issue with gear worn also.

Am having problem with hydraulic cylinder piston. Need to replace new piston rings and has been hard to find a place to purchase correct size. The rings do not have a number stamped on them. Would appreciate someone's information as to where may purchase them.

KT's reply is dead on about hp and cut width. I use a solid toplink, but my nieghbor uses a chain because he has some gullies that caused him to wedge up with a solid link. He's never had a problem with pto using the chain. Larry.

I've got my secondary clutch rattling on my 6 x 4 gator when you accelerate. Smooth when idling and not as bad when going full steam ahead. I thought about replacing the clutch buttons to see if that fixes it. How to you spread the clutch apart to access the old buttons and put in new ones without taking the clutch apart? Thanks for any help.

You may need to hook it to something really big, pull its ears back and let it howl until the rings seat.

Chrome rings and or chrome cylinder walls almost have to be punished before they will seat.

My new 1997 362MF came from the factory with an extra half gallon of oil in the crank case and only when it was idling, oil dripped from the hole in the bottom of the p-trap in the exhaust. After several hours were accumulated on the tach the power cam up and the oil drip stopped.

It was at least weaker than a sick cat [at least one gear] until the rings seated.

1st for me. Have not heard of a 1500 having power steering. Unless it is someones own invention the power steering should use the tractors hydraulic pump and have a diverter valve that diverts the needed amount toward the assist cylinder. In other words, the transmission sump would be the fluid used by the power steering.
