That degree of slope here is not normal, maybe with bridges and the cutting on the side of them. Know it looks like they mow those running with the slope and as amazing as it is have never seen them being mowed. But some of the mowers they use they run dual rear wheels with (on tractors). You be sure your tires have the correct air pressure for if the down hill tire were to suddenly loose pressure it could be over. Do look into a cutter for cutting slopes. Depending on what you need they are very costly but there are also some light weight units that are not that costly. kt

yocsr1, 1/4" is too thin. I have used four inch channel 1/4" thick and it also bent with me. On the mower with skid plates, pick it where those plates are just clear of the dirt if not you will be doing a lot of replacing and also damage to the area you are cutting. You will find it much easier to turn the tractor with the cutter clear also. Have never seen a finishing mower with skid plates instead of wheels to maintain it's cutting height.

Watch extending the distance of a pto implement back as I understand you have, you need to be sure you still have safe pto shaft over lap of the two sections when you lift the mower it does not come apart while running. Hope you well with this. kt

Swapped out the priming pump form the old unit. Other than an internal leak that was the only point I could figure where fuel could transfer to the pump body.

No joy, still filling the pump body with fuel after about 20 seconds of cranking.

I here a clunking in the frontend of my tc40 so I stopped to check it out when I took off again the front tire was kinda locked up but heard a pop. so I headed for the garage very slow the clunk got worse any ideas.thanks

I just replaced the filter and topped off the hydraulic fluid. Still can't raise the rear lift arms or adjust the angle on the front bucket. Any suggestions?

It is time to decide, the plow truck is done and I have to either out a rear snow blower on and keep the bucket or adapt a plow for the front! Your input is greatly appreciated. I hope I do the right thing or this is going to be one long ass winter!

Do you need a hydraulic pump for your tractor?? send me an email. I will need tractor name, any numbers stamped on the pump. by looking at the shaft side you can determine rotation by looking at the inward rotation of two gears on the suction side or the in port. shaft type Oblong, tapered or spline shaft.

The first time in years and many years at that had a spark plug to fail. Gator was running and stopped. Trying to crank it back up with no success at all. First thing I did was replace the spark plug (figured if more than that back to the shop)and it fired right up and been fine. It had been in shop for tune up and service due to ethanol so maybe the plug was damaged when being installed? kt

just received L4060HSTC, backhoe and front end loader. BH 6ft rotary cutter, rotary tiller, and finish mower. Love this machine! My dealer advised me to consider the 40 over the 35 if I wanted 6ft implements. His concern was that with the cab and air running, the pto HP would be pushing the limits for proper function of the 6 ft 3pt attachments. I think this was great advice as I need most of the power on the 40 to maintain correct rpm for the implements to properly function. I do no think the 35 would maintain pto hp sufficient for upper average workloads. Tractor is perfect, love it.

To loosen the fuel lines at the injectors till fuel comes out and tighten while cranking.

I will be removing the steering valve assembly tomorrow. I found a HYDRO shop highly reccommended approx. 80 miles from here in Pearl, MS.

I sent photos of the whole system, and they feel they can replace seal in top of valve system... must go in from the inside. Hopefully that will do the trick since my tractor is steering fine at this point.

Leaks always get worse, not the same, and certainly not less. Once they break it apart, there will be no charge if they can not repair it... then to some other shop I guess.

Not trying to upset my friends in the frozen North...the snakes that craw on their belly is not the ones we worry about...it is the ones which still have legs. Seems to be a real big nest on the eastern shore.

Learned long time ago we all have a special place in our heart for where we were raised, Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz said it best, "there is no place like home."

Living where I do have many friends, clients and neighbors from all states North of here up to about as far west as Minnesota. Funny to me there is very few from southern states south or west of here. Hear the reasons for moving here, not so cold, very seldom have snow, lower cost of living, golf courses, how liberal the area they lived was, shows or such they enjoy. However I know it would be hard for me to pack up and move away from my family and friends. We do see moves that are two and three generation because of that.

Crunch on the house, my father in law passed almost 14 years ago and my mother in law moved in with us about 2 years ago. We kept her house in tack till about 2 months ago and finally knew doing so was foolish and began the taking it apart and deciding what went where. Some to each of the 2 girls, some to grandchildren, and other family members. Hard work. It took us about 2 months to do that and the house is less than 1/2 mile from us. It also took longer than we expected to get it ready to rent and is now taking it longer to rent that we expected. Said all that to tell you the process is slow, for us we had to handle and discuss who needed, wanted or would benefit from each piece. When it was all completed my wife told me, I am so glad it has been done. As hard as it was it was done with my Mama's input. I am glad do not have to face this when she passes. Sadly since June 10th, house was not on the rental market my mother in law was admitted to the hospital and has since then been either in hospital or rehab and will belief she will be able to return to live with us. We all have the responsibility to prepare for tomorrow, whether we be there or have moved on. That means preparing to close the house here for the home, there. kt

Interesting. Have never seen one of these. I did notice the operator still had his right hand on the right front post for stability in one shot. Wonder if the rotating of the machine has more movement than the normal front axle does on will same most other tractors. Assume they are four wheel drive since all wheels are same size. kt

My TC55 has suddenly developed a hydraulic problem. My FEL works fine unless my 3 Pt is completely raised. Then there is a noise that I believe is coming from the hydraulic pump. If I lower the 3 pt the noise goes away and the FEL is good, but I have basically no fine adjustment to the 3pt. It either goes all the way up or all the way down, I can stop it in between on the way up but it is difficult to use this way. I have adjusted the hydro speed control valve handle under the seat with no improvement. Anyone have an idea what might be going on?
