I have replaced fuel filter and air filter. Fuel flow seems fine . I have put a large see thru in line fuel filter on and it seems good . I also did the seafoam in the gas . If it is plugging up in the tank the filter would empty , right?

Hello all, I have a Kioti DK-40 tractor with 300 hours on it. I am having clutch issues and am afraid I need to replace the clutch. I bought this unit with 295 hours on it and have not had any issues until 2 weeks ago when I was driving up the same incline and had to shift to a lower gear to make it up. This gradually got worse until I had to tow my tractor up my step driveway. Does anyone know of anything else it could be ? Clutch adjustment is within spec. Just finding it hard to belive the clutch would be gone after 300 hours. Also I'm having trouble finding an inspection plate so I can look at the clutch wear ?

I called Discount Tractor and got the torque specs. needed and the rocker or valve lash setting from them.
Ingrid was very helpful with the info. and told me that this nortrac nt254 is a jimam ( or however it's bloody well spelt ) brand tractor under the northern brand
and she gave me the wix pt.#s for the oil and Fuel filters VERY NICE OF HER

Converting an old 4x2 Gator to electric...<br>
I'm trying to convert an old gas 4x2 gator to electric drive.<br>
I'm debating how to connect the motor to the transmission. I could do it any one of 3 ways:<br>
<br>
1. Remove the secondary clutch and use a chain drive to connect the motor and trans shafts.<br>
2. Keep the secondary clutch and drive the cogged belt with the motor.<br>
3. Keep the secondary clutch and drive the cogged belt with the old primary clutch to the motor.<br>
<br>
Any thoughts on the best way?<br>

Try disconnecting the one of the two wires on the safety switch in front of the shift levers. Keep them separate, see if it cranks over.
My switch acts up upon occasion.
Also to get it moved you can use an auto remote starter switch to crank it up.

My 824D Ford tractor which has always had good oil pressure even at idle suddenly lost all pressure on the gauge.No unusual engine noise so I replaced the pressure gauge.No pressure indicated. With gauge line open,engine running, oil would only ooze out with no pressure. Removing the oil pump proved it to be in good shape with both relief valve and its spring moving freely.I stretched the spring aprox. one quarter inch before assembly. No change in running pressure. Pulled the valve cover to check the rocker arm lube tubes which are in place. Removed the oil filter and plumbed an air line to the block oil galley and think I can hear air escaping under the valve lifter cover on the right side of the block behind the injector pump. Not having a service manual, I am blindly going through this so I decided to ask for some advice.<br>

Hello, after 42 years of searching, I am 98% sure I have located my Grandfathers 1947 AC model C. He had a plow with a "lift assist" and I assume this means a hydraulic pump. Please forgive my ignorance but is the plow lift controlled entirely from the lever that pivots from under the front of the bench seat? I have seen 1 or 2 ads that suggest a flow valve is needed to direct the oil to raise or lower the plow. I think this is incorrect. Hello, after 42 years of searching, I am 98% sure that I have recovered my Grandfathers 1947 Ailis Chalmers model C. I have found two hydraulic pumps but I need the the lever that fits directly to/under and pivots under the bench seat, any ideas on where to find this item? I also need to find the ram. Also, I do not know if there is a three way switch to divert to hydraulic flow to make to plow go up or down or if this is controlled entirely from the lever that pivots under the front of the bench seat. Not that I've done this myself but the pages from the service manual about the MFD hub basically says once you get the hub assembly off the axle by taking the 6 bolts around the outside out and prying the hub cover and axle assembly out and then you have to:<br>
1 take off the circlip at the inside end and pull the inner bearing.<br>
2 push the stub axle-wheel mount out of the hub cover and gear with a press.<br>
3 take care with the various spacers to keep them together there is a critical measurements to meet at assembly. <br>
4 remove the inner bearing with circlip as needed.<br>
5 looks like the axle oil seal is pressed out from the inside and installed from the outside.<br>
6 reassemble. Shims to be recalculated per the manual. Presumably if you're replacing the bearings like for like the shimming will not change but probably advisable to buy the shim kits if things do change. <br>
7 The inner bearing is put on by heating to 250F at which point it should slide on. Probably should clean it of any oil or grease before heating.<br>
<br>
The full LH assembly seems to be available for like US 830 new but the RH isn't at partstree.com. Bearings and an oil seal will run you US 60ish plus another US 17 for shim sets. Used assemblies would require finding one in a junk yard - lots of luck.<br>

This person markty32 posted this and many other blogs on the net, he even went to the Gumtree website and posted his blog as an ad!

I replied to his ad. I asked him to contact me, to produce his sale agreement and offered to look at his complaint. Nothing happen, nothing. We have no sale history, warranty work or contact from this person.
I contacted Gumtree and stated the above and within the hour the ad was removed.

To this day i have received nothing from this person, no phone call, no email. In his blogs he states he going to take us to court. You will find nothing against us pending or historical. I have not heard from Mr. Tyson's solicitor, no letter or email from him. Court hearing? nothing, you can all check this on line. Mr Tyson claims that he and all the other bloggers are going all the way!!! " Funny i haven't heard from them either
Mr Tyson states he will take this to the bitter end in one of his blogs, he has written so many of them. Please ask yourself why he is so vocal in blogs and yet will not respond or act on his complaint.

My feeling on this is the markty32 is a competitor who wants to slander our good name. Faceless, vindictive and a liar. There i said it.

I will not get a reply from this person on this blog, just like the bogus Gumtree ad. My contacts are below for the world to see. I have nothing to hide from and urge people to look behind what they read. "The right to reply" is everyone's right.

Please markty32 ( Mr.Mark Tyson) call me or email me at National Machinery if you have a legitimate complaint. And also note that we only have one business name and one ABN number, again would you care to share with the World the other names or ABN numbers you claim we have?

If indeed you intention is to have your consumers rights upheld, and your feverish blogging is intended to help others, i should hear back from you.

Please see below my contacts. I have copied the ad Mr. Tyson placed on Gumtree and my reply letter to him and Gumtree Australia. Again i have never heard from him. Please read the note that Gumtree places on all of its complaints and remember they removed the ad!

My company has no record of any sale to this customer. I have emailed Mr. Tyson giving him my contact details and asked that he supply me with a sales invoice and warranty correspondence. I have offered to look into any warranty claims and again i have asked for his warranty booklet and service records.
In the meantime this posting is not an ad it is slander, it gives me no recourse and is making a lot of claims that just no true with regards my business.

We have no record of your purchase under your name Mark Tyson, did you use a company name? Can you tell me the person and the address of the dealership where you bought the tractor from.
If you have a copy of the agreement or any warranty correspondence this would help me to get to the bottom of your claim. This is very important, you have made some very damaging claims in the ad, I would like to see if i can address any issues. YES I GOT RIPPED OFF I have had the tractor just over a few months now and have about 15 hrs or so., on it. The dealer national machinery traders pty ltd foton tractors doesnt help at all, rubbish foton tractor. Following issues fuel tank and injector pump leaking from main housing, also hydraulic pump leaking i have a warranty "yeah right" I want a full refund so i can buy a different brand. Another major issue is the gearbox is very tight and wont go into gear. I call national machinery traders pty ltd whom supply foton tractors and no help!! rip offi want a refund! What are my rights?

The belt is suppose to be for this application. I studied it before I purchased it. The one thing that was evident was to pay the extra price for the kevlar belt, unless this belt isn't actaully kevlar it should hold up. The belt has to run a lot tighter than a normal belt because of all the twists. I'm wandering if I might have had it too tight. Would that cause it to separate or did I just happen to get a defective one? Larry

The size is a limiting factor for the tiller but there is another use for them and that is food plots for the hunters! They can do it no till but for the best results a quick till opens it up a bit more.

I know around here many till thee gardens but a good hand tiller fits many applications better then a larger tractor.

Finding business is always challenging and not just a job for part of the year. The best laid plans can meet in failure without the right marketing and advertising you may miss the market place.

This would fall into that category. Hot Oil will ignite, 5 gallons would make a spectacular image.
So don't do that.

KT, I have an older craftsman string trimmer on wheels that is not self propelled and is hand start. My wife actually prefers to use it on occasion and it can handle some thick weeds. I switch back and forth with my regular echo string trimmer without wheels. Not sure I have a preference.
