Its a 2003 Jinma Farm Boss 284, with a front loader and a brush hog. Engine works great, just the hydraulics that don't work proper. I replaced the filter under the seat, and made sure that the fluids were full. When I try to move the FEL it is very slow, as in move up 1 foot per 30 sec. when I try to lift the brush hog with the lever it does not move at all. I started driving it and the brush hog shot up then went down. when I tried to move it on my own it would not move.

A number of issues will have to be addressed. Fuel theft will become a concern, as will re-filling. Fuel suppliers will need special fittings on the delivery hoses that will allow them to mate up with the fuel bags.<br>

Like you, I'd love to have one of these bags. This would allow me to keep a few hundred gallons on hand. I shy away from keeping too much fuel around, due to the concerns we discussed earlier. It would be nice to be able buy a year's supply of fuel when the prices drop.<br>

Welcome to the forum Chuck, I'm going to suggest that you start a topic of your own. Near the top left of the page is where you click to "Start a New Topic". Describe the make/model/year of your tractor, and describe the issue in a bit more detail. Right now it sounds like you have a front loader (FEL) that's working poorly, and a rear lift that's not working at all.

Running Ubuntu Linux I use KRDC to remote into my other Win boxes in RDP mode, when I need to run Windows software rather than run under Wine in Ubuntu. Works great on my set up!<br>

I use Libre Office on Ubuntu its OK for me. I use Microsoft Office 365 for the rest of the family 5 user license month to month about $9 per month.<br>

I have converted from XP to Win 7 32 bit on a 2GB desktop, no degrade in performance.<br>

I have Win 8.1 with Classic shell installed on some new hardware to bypass the awful win 7 interface and makes 8.1 look like Win 7 thank god! I cannot think of any reason to upgrade an XP machine beyond Win 7. If you install Win 8 without the Classic Shell it is a real PIA to work on.<br>

Greg is spot on having a dual boot is a great idea to save the day when your windows machine gets sick with a virus, even better if the you have two drives with an a bootable OS on each.<br>

I use Macrium Reflect (Free) to back up my Hardware onto 5 terabytes of USB external drives, has saved the day many times for me. Make the Linux based emergency restore CD works for both Windows and Linux easier to make than the Windows one. Macrium is fast highly recommended.

Probably wouldn't hurt to clarify that this applies to open station tractors. Those with cabbed versions needn't worry.

My belarus 250 does the same thing. This metal plate under the hydraulic pump, once I remove the square cover plate will I be able to repair from their as well?

Danny,

Before you get too deep into this project, you might want to check to be sure that you don't have a bad oil pump, or a plugged oil filter. Additionally, you'll want to be sure that all of your oil passages (mains, rods, etc.) are clear.

It's entirely possible that switching to synthetic oil could have produced a good engine scrubbing for you, allowing all of that gunk to plug up your lubricating system.

Until you find the problem I'd be disconnecting the positive cable at nite! Off season the rodents often build homes within engines and eat the wiring!

Good call on the glass issue Murf! Going back into the seventies when tractor cabs were first introduced most companies had issues! I was fortunate enough to have a friend that did a lot of work with air conditioning on cars. I hired him and had no trouble finding work for him all summer long on all makes of tractors. Today our shop might have several a week during the worst part of the heat where we were several a day!
Back then they found that the lower windows on the front of cabs would run twenty to thirty degrees warmer then the air because of the engine heat. Not like a car with a 50 mph breeze!

Did you have an unusually short lived original alternator?

If the answer is the alternator life was not particularly short I find the KISS (keep it simple stupid) approach is best for me, keeps me out of trouble. Just slap the another one of the same in and move on.

Or if you love to tinker have at it :)

After over 10 days searching for this not to find filter I took a look at it...here was my revelation! It is a metal mesh filter with three magnets. I was successful at cleaning it in solvent and re installing it in the tractor! Hope this helps someone else.

Around here we use a big three blade type cutter with the handle bars units. These work well for the pastures when changing the pastures to new ground to cut the hay to keep it away from the fences.

I forgot to mention ... unless modifications have been made over the years to your orange, the B7200 was a pretty straight forward unit with little complicated circuitry. That said, the fuses are located in line from the battery "compartment". They are pretty evident bullet fuses when searching in the right area, again, close to the battery area. I think, as far as the switch is concerned, they are pretty robust, but again, as stated before, time and use have ways of deteriorating elements.

Any chance that the connectors were pulled apart under the fenders? Just a thought about the cables.
