I don't know the model or the year but a friend bought a Bobcat compact with loader on a auction a couple years ago and has been happy with it. He has put it to good use clearing some old fencerows and recently digging a medium sized pond. He is a retired farm equipment mechanic and welder, so likely can do most all the service but where will he find parts?

Dennis- per the CFO here, she's already on the 'warpath' with our smartphone usage and not wanting to pay more for more GB. We're pretty much happy with watching movies OTA or we buy the DVDs when on cheap sale we have both DVD and VHS recording (she has to record her soaps). We considered satellite at one time so we could telework from home but the cost at the time was we would not be saving much on gas and the agency we worked for was very particular about which providers we used ( for the short time we tried via dialup it became more of a hassle- our tech support would say it's our IP the IP would say it's our settings and gateway. only to find our tech guru's forgot to trip certain switches for the morning.) darn soapbox off track again... sorry :(

Here's a basic picture of a portable hydraulic power unit. Add your own three-point hitch mount to the front, and a receiver hitch on the rear. Put some foldable legs under it, and you can set it down where you need it.

Get as fancy as you want with it. Add additional valves so that you can operate several devices at once. Install panel-mounted quick-disconnect outlets for easy hook-ups.

Thank you all. So stay away from the choke unless totally cold. Do you use normal idle or fast idle when warm?

Joel, think I will take back to dealer to let them set carb. I assume still in warranty.

I think they are correct but may also be issue with blade switch. If zero turn most if not all have safety switch in the blade, brake, seat line.

Mine also has safety switch in the steering levers if you pull them into operation without releasing the brake.

Look for blown fuses, lose wire, also could be bad relay in addition a safety switch. Be careful, fingers are not store bought. Neither are toes. KT

The more I learn of snow and ice issues the more I find like 100 degree dog days of summer.

The ice we had two weeks back is enough to remind those who moved here why they moved and to remind us who grew up how blessed we were to be born here. I know all areas have their weather issues as we have our heat and humidity along with a hurricane along and along, some areas have their tornadoes which I find the most scary.

Thing that puzzles me the most is how around Washington DC and up the east coast there is so much snow and ice with all the hot air located in DC. Just puzzles me.

If we ever needed to ask we do no, God Please Bless the USA.

Also the wiring harness on my Kioti is nice and clean.
There are no loose dangling wires or connectors any where.
And it has always started instantly for the past 12 years even at -5*F in an unheated barn.

I hate that Oregon Jig and only attempted to use it once, before it ended up on a shelf for my abandoned toys er tools!

I use the $8.00 Oregon file and angle guide available at Lowes. I like it simple and I do not want to remove too much material from the chain.

My saws cut wood effortlessly like butter what more can I ask for.

Its been a tough winter. Just scraped off the last of the ice off the drive and finally down to pavement. With the thaw was able to blow some more of edges back.

Candoarms, I am being extra careful with the snow blower this year, with the ice we have had, I could easily fire a chunk through a window in the house :-(

The ice has been so solid that I bought 10 shear pins at the start of the season, used 4 so far this year alone. I can usually get through a season with no shear pins use.

Looks like with he warm weather in the forecast I will not be getting any saddle time for a while. Not long until the change over at latest April 1 for me or sooner if the March forecast are good.

Hardwood has some very valid points to consider. Yet remanufacturing almost everything does go on, its a matter of having access to the tools, know how, favorable parts prices I guess.<br>

If you are just one man shop you would have to really specialize on tractors that mandate the highest prices after restoration.<br>

I have a Cub Cadet 5234D (2004). The Cub Cadet Hydro/Transmission fluid is currently $50.00 per gallon. My machine uses 5 gallons. I have in the past spoken at length with my local Cub Cadet dealer and finally Cub Cadet about seeking an alternative Hydraulic/Transmission fluid. The answer I've received is that the Cub Cadet Hydraulic/Transmission is the only fluid that I can safely use. And here's why.

The Cub Cadet Hydro/Transmission fluid is a full synthetic fluid. This differs from the other Hydro/Transmission fluids on the market. I was told that if I replace the synthetic fluid with standard "hydraulic/transmission" fluid, the tractor will work however, the standard fluid will eat away the gaskets and cause leaks. This will ultimately void any warranty and ultimately do harm to the tractor. In essence, the tractor is dependent on the synthetic hydro/transmission fluid.

I've searched for "synthetic hydraulic/transmission" fluid for years and have never found a viable replacement product on the market. In the end, the tractor and implements were expensive enough, that I don't take a chance on destroying it with the non-synthetic fluid. In my case, the fluid must be changed every 200 hours.

If anyone has a source for "synthetic hydraulic/transmission fluid" please post it here.

My Porsche has full time AWD (60% rear/40% front) in both directions. My driveway too has about a meaningful slope leading into the garage (I never measured the angle). We had recent ice storms in my part of KY, and after seeing my neighbor get her Focus stuck, I had a little trepidation over backing out of my garage. The car walked right over a lip of clear ice and uphill onto 3" of frozen slush. It's not black ice, but every bit as slippery. Reversed out of the driveway, thru the stuff the snow plow piled up, and onto the highway - with nary a wheel spin.

The movement in the messaging area is to get away from SMS texting and use enhanced products like Google Hangouts. It is an attempt to get a multiplier effect on grouping people to one thing ala messaging, instagram, facebook,mail, etc.

Some of the things you never forget are the things that you learn from the school of hard knocks. I'd look very closely at the lines they replaced. The reason the system might not work well to begin with it do to an air leak that would allow the system to drain out in between running the tractor.
This often only takes a small air leak that doesn't drain or leak any oil externally! Chances are there will be some air bubbles in the system. The original oil used in a B-8200 is not like Kubota's newer hydraulic oils although it still probably better then the universal fit all fluids.
I would take apart what they had assembled and reseal every connection..
