Thanks for all the good words form everyone. Our sale of the tools and acreage equipment went very well bringing top dollar and then some. We had a perfect weather day, it had been really hot and miserable until the day of the auction when it was in the seventies with a nice breeze, so a huge crowd came. Some of the more specialized furniture equipment didn't bring half what it cost new, but we had 98% trouble free service from it for thirty years or more for some items, so they didn't owe me a lot, and will serve the new owner for a long time. Being our neighborhood is a pretty strong John Deere area anything green including my Deere hand tools sold really well.

We have everything pretty well settled now except for our second home that has had lots of lookers but no serious buyers yet, I guess we had enough things that went right that there is bound to be one thing that doesn't sell so quickly.

I still check in about every day just to see what is going on and maybe keep up on some of the latest news.

I have a 1070 1997 JD tractor The tractor will not go into gear when placed in either high or low gear makes that grinding sound . also it cuts off when I engage pto third the 3 point hitch is stuck on up wont go up or down

Pros: Light, thin, beautiful high resolution screen. Size is great to replace kindle readers. Fast processor, almost no lag.<br>

Cons: Touch screen problems, you touch an icon nothing happens particularly at screen edges. Also on many app links and links in browser you have to press over and over to get a response.<br>

Conclusion: Sadly I am returning it within the 14 day Staples return policy. The touchscreen issue is just too annoying. I have also heard that Asus is hard to deal with and I do not want to go there. I tried the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8 inch at Bestbuy yesterday. The Galaxy tab has a perfect touchscreen and confirms that the Nexus is buggy. However the Galaxy processors are not any where near the performance of the Nexus, and feels heavy to hold for long periods. So for me the Galaxy is not an alternative. I will wait until the Nexus issues get resolved and buy another Nexus if that happens :(

To being with can only tell you about it, have no idea of brand name.

Was at my lawn mower dealer about three Saturdays back and they were testing what looked like a dune buggy is my best way to tell you. It had roll cage more like them and about same about of sheet metal. It was street legal with four wheel drive. Was told the price was about $15,000 with cost to dealer of about $12,000 to $13,000 with Chinese motor. Mechanic at dealership concern was the motor. Was built for off road and was suppose to be very hard to bog down. Oh well maybe on the hard to bog down. LOL Understood it was new import here and no idea of here was the US or this area only. This one only had two seats if memory is right and no bed.

I have been one who in time past really had overloaded tow vehicle and learned the dangers without them coming true. Much more fun to have proper tow vehicle and trailer. Happened to have a pickup salesman once who was a professional educate the pulling was not the issue it was the stopping and handling.

I agree with you on trailer 2 more feet would have given you some breathing room. The crane looks interesting there. Something that has had benefit for me to prevent borrowing was going to trailer of the size I needed with pintle hook, don't think it has been asked to borrow that and the three axles look like monster which it really is not. Have in time past used large commercial plug to prevent the asking to borrow but now many pickups come with those plugs. The funny thing is I may ask more to borrow than is asked of me but I only borrow form those who I will loan to so feel it is a true two way street.

i have the same tractor and the guy i bought it from said its stuck in high gear. and the "lever" is between your legs on the floor? i cant get it into low gear, can someone please help me!! and how to tighten the shiftier up, it seems loose when it come to shifting and finding neutral, please reply or call me at 1616-551-9399 if you could tell me how to fix it!

I finally managed to break the post hole digger output shaft free. I soaked with PB Blaster, liquid wrench and then dug holes without shear bolt with no success. I then went to the internet, created a 50/50 mix of transmission fluid and acetone, poured around output shaft and let sit overnight. Next day I dug hole without shear bolt and the output shaft came free from the auger! Hooray.

I also have a complete set of bar tire and wheels,wheels have very good paint and come with chrome center caps and lug nuts,tires are very good cond. Have a weight distribution kit for 72"decks. Will give a great price for all of it.

There is still a massively HUGE demand for ammunition with a "tactical" or "tactical training" value. Hence the huge demand for .223, .308, shotgun buckshot, and rimfire ammunition (especially .22 Long Rifle). The same situation applies to metallic reloading components.

The ammunition is out there and being stocked on the shelves and in various online stores but it get bought up almost immediately.

It is a matter of being at the right place at the right time or finding an online seller who has ammo in stock. If they do have it in stock, you had better buy it as fast as you can because waiting even a minute or two will result in an out of stock online message.

I check Gunbot frequently throughout the day and when ammo that I want comes available for the right price, I jump on it.

Even then I find that a good bit of the ammo is already out of stock. So keep an eye out and move FAST. :O)

Check with the dealer or the shop manual and find out if this particular engine has an internal oil cooler. I know my Cummins diesel does and if the oil cooler develops a leak, it will contaminate the oil with coolant. This can usually be checked with a cooling system pressure check. The other possibility could be an oil passage packing or gasket that may have failed.

As you can tell by how far back the posts go this subject has as many opinions as asking a group of guys how they like their steak done.
Back in the H and M Farmall days we used calcium chloride but gradu7ally got weaned off of it when leaks ruined rims. Unless a leak was handled promptly the calcium would glue the tire bead to the rim making for a nasty job. a few tire dealers finally6 almost refused to fix a filled tire or would fix them at an elevated rate. I haven't used liquid since, cast iron only.
On my 4310 Deere with the loader I had the box blade on for ballast. I agree the little narrow tread tractors are a bit tippy, so caution is needed no mater how it is ballasted.

The last buzz saw I saw sits along the driveway of a farm yard as a yard ornament with flowers planted around it.
The last chainsaw I had was a Sthil, I don't know how much it weighed but it was light and one of their smaller saws, the greatest part about it was it started with one or two pulls.
Now on the other side of my chainsaw memory page is a big heavy two man saw with a handle on the out end of a blade that looked four feet long when I was a kid. The engine end had two handles that looked like a bicycle handlebar I don't know who owned the thing or what brand it was but I remember my dad and uncle struggling with that monster thing "IF" they got it started. The guy on the engine end was in a cloud of blue smoke and wood chips. I think a two man crosscut saw and an axe would have been faster and lots easier on the nerves.

I have the 7265 Cub with the 26 HP Mitsubishi engine. Back when my tractor was new I had issues with the glow plugs burning out. I had to have my glow plugs replaced twice. I was told by the dealer that there were some defective glow plugs. Also, if my memory serves me correctly read on here that some of the glow plugs were defective. I haven't had this problem for for a awhile so I guess they installed some good ones.

WOW funny how old threads come up. It was 2 weeks after my post I'm in the coronary unit.

I miss Spam and lots of other good stuff. But like Greg said in other thread once in a while.

If you'll notice the last post on this thread was in 2007, not that it isn't still good information.
I can understand your excitement about getting a new shed but my curiosity has me wondering about if you start now and completion is hoped for by mid February, that's a long time to put up a pole shed.
