We have a very large front yard where I live. There are many azalea bushes in this yard. Each year I have to cut the tops back on each azalea bush. I normally try to get this done right after the azaleas quit blooming. This year because of all the rain and high humidity we have had here where I live, this job has been put off several times. This week the temperature and humidity was excellent for doing yard work. I spent several hours each day trimming azaleas.

In times past once I finished the trimming part, I would rake the cut material into piles and use a wheel barrow to pick up and move the trimmings to my trailer, where I had to unload the wheelbarrow and start the process over again. Once the trailer was full I then had to move the trailer out to the main road in front of our place and manually unload the cut material, placing the cuttings into neat piles for the trash collection folks to pick up.

Thursday (September 19th) I put the Kubota L3240 to work. I stuffed the front bucket full of azalea trimmings and drove the tractor out to the main road in front of our house and dumped the trimmings into neat piles for the trash collector to then remove. By doing it this way I eliminated a number of the manual processes (loading a wheel barrow, dumping the load into a trailer, moving the full trailer to the main road, manually removing the azalea trimmings from the trailer and placing them into neat piles).

You do not have to have a large amount of property to justify a reason to buy a Kubota with a front end loader on it. Remember Kubota tractors with front end loaders come in a lot of different sizes. All you need to do is to look at all the chores and work processes that you do in your yard each year, and then imagine how much easier it would be if you had a tractor with a front end loader on it that could eliminate some of the more mundane labor intensive things you do outside, thus giving you more time to enjoy those other things you really like to do.

Our contractor just left. He is due to begin construction on the new barn next week! YIPPEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! It should be completed by mid February, if the weather cooperates. It's going to be an 8 stall barn, with a breezeway, and 2 run ins on the sides. 2 stalls will be converted to feed/tack/hay storage. We're gonna have hot water, fans in the summer, and all the "niceties" we've lived without before. And my DH just gave me my early Christmas present.......a 100 gallon black water trough, and a de-icer!!! It will be so nice not to have to break and remove ice every few hours all winter. Last winter, (and many winters prior) I even left work to come home during the say and remove ice. And I worried that the horses weren't getting enough water too. (I'm a worry-wart when it comes to my animals).
I'll post pics as things get under way. Just wanted to share my JOY!!!!

Most contractors I have talked to have said there is very little cost difference between a pole building or a stick building. Since I am building mine myself, I am going with 2x4 walls. This will make it easier to insulate with a thick type insulation.

From time to time people want to know why I know what I do of other makes. Many makes just like your Cadet are made by a different company. What happens when there relationship ends is a travesty to the owners! We were told once that we only had 90 days to get what we wanted for parts! Fortunately for our government, (one time I can't curse them) we still get them! This is not uncommon as every time someone touches a part, the price goes up! Part of your price problem is that is a safety item and the other is it really is a cadet part that is not going to be made by the thousands but if lucky by the hundreds although my better instincts tell me it might just be double digit production per year further raising the costs!

I had Comcast for a while years ago and their service for internet was pretty bad.

Back in the early days of air conditioning there were not any good ones! They have learned a lot at this point and are much more reliable then they were when first adding them to a tractor.

I have a John deere LC -3 Excavator from where I was in partnership on a business adventure that i seperated my self from. I am looking to sell it but not sure of the value. It has the hydraulic thumb and less than 5000 hours. Maintenance was kept up always and is in very good shape. It has minor damage to exterior.Paint an overall condition show its been well kept. <br>
I would like a fair opinion on the value if anyone knows about this and I truely would appreciate it. I'll have to take my stand for green. Ken is correct the earlier two wheel drive Gators with the lawn mower type tires will get stuck on almost anything wet, the tire tread fills with mud and you are done. We had one of those and we also had an HPX with the carbureted engine, stay away from the HPX unless it is a diesel. The last Gator we owned was an XUV 620i. That was a great machine, fuel injected like your car, it starts every time with just the turn of the key, no choke. Four wheel drive with a low range that we pulled loaded wagons with. Ours was a 2007 or 08 model, never an ounce of trouble. Another plus is we had a closing out sale on September second, the Gator brought every cent I paid for it new, I don't know about other brands but green seems to hold its resale.

I just recently had a Belarus T-420 / T-40A given to me and im having issues with some of the controls. I have a pedal next to the clutch and have no idea what its for as well the little knob near it. Also, which lever controls the 4x4? This tractor runs and the manuel I got with it, Its Russian. I ordered me one offline so didnt know if there will be a photo of all the gear controls on the floor.
